As others mentioned this Post Office is usually busy and there are normally 2-3 employees staffed…read moreat the counter. I usually don't spend more than 3-5 minutes waiting in line. Every time I get to the counter I am always greeted by helpful courteous postal employees who take time to assist me in mailing my package. They could be less courteous and move me out quicker but I would rather wait in line a few minutes longer and be treated like a customer and having all my options explained to me. Most of the employees are bilingual in English and Spanish and can help non English speaking customers. Since this review is only on my treatment at the Deltona Post Office, I cannot give a review on the mail carriers, that deliver to my home, that may be from this office or another.

No one else was inside of the post office when I entered. The staff did help me send out my package. It was less than 2 mins of processing and making the payment. Then I left the post office. Some things I did notice while there was that all of their packages for sale were clearly labeled and organized compared to my old post office an improvement. The location is smallest post office I have seen ever. They still manage it pretty well. Great job guys! Only reason I am giving this a 4 star is because of the traffic signs and directional signs in the parking lot are faded. Also no stop bars at any of the stop sign area because they are faded as well. This is a post office and I hope they repair or replace it for appearance purposes. Traffic safety for the public is important for us all.

When I popped in during lunch time, there were only two clerks on duty. You'd think there would be more at this busy time of the day as there was a bit of a queue. The clerk who helped me was completely friendly and efficient, all good. This office does have post office boxes but does not have an automated vending machine.

We were doing some shopping in the Lake Mary area and decided to try the Monroe office since it was on our way. The building is a decent size; however, the reception area where you weigh packages and pay the USPS staff members is very small; only enough room for two to three customers max. A bit weird but it got the job done. Fortunately for us when we are arrived we were the only customers here. Shortly after our arrival, about four more customers came in but had to lineup in the foyer just outside the doorway/entrance to the reception. My mom had two ship two packages to NY. I don't remember the exact weight of the boxes but it cost around $60. A bit pricey, but still cheaper than adding an additional piece of luggage to her flight home. Staff here were very pleasant and we were in and out and no time. Overall the store is clean, organized, and is a great alternative when the downtown Sanford post office is in the weeds.

They do have a mailbox outside if you just want to drop off a letter real fast. There is also very limited parking and I did find it funny that the speed limit in the small driveway was three miles per hour.

Stopped in here to have two papers notarized. The charge was $10 per paper, so $20 total. Not bad…read more I deducted one star just because the notary's handwriting was so sloppy I couldn't read where he wrote in Volusia or Florida. These papers are going to a judge in another state and it would be nice if he could read it. One would think a notary could print legibly, especially when being paid. I did still give 4 stars because all the employees (including the notary) were so very friendly and helpful. They were all smiles! I'm going to need more papers notarized in the next six months and I'll still return here, I'll just ask him politely to please print neatly. =) I also wouldn't hesitate to use this store to ship things for me. Really, really great customer service!

The red brick Classical Revival building was built in 1917 by Algernon Blair of Montgomery. James Wetmore served as the supervising architect. The building is typical of government buildings of the time and it is trimmed in Georgia sandstone and white sandstone pillars. The original exterior is still intact. After a new post office was built two blocks away in 1962 it became the city library and in 1975 part of the Seminole County library system. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. I love the architecture of this building and today it is looking better than ever as the Sanford Welcome Center. Their mission is to provide education and information as they market Sanford as "an arts, culture, recreation, and historic destination." I popped in during my visit to town and was warmly greeted by Rosie. I had a great chat with her. Inside the welcome center you will find public restrooms, cheap snacks and drinks, attraction brochures, maps, and places to stay and dining recommendations. The Chamber of Commerce has an office. Downtown historic Sanford is experiencing a renaissance. Check in here to learn about events, food and drink, and one of a kind experiences in this charming town.

Most of the time they have an art gallery in the back containing art from local residence. There's always someone there to help you if you need to get advice of where to eat or things to do. They also have bathrooms and a small place to sit if you want to rest and get out of the heat and check out the Sanford newspaper. I come here at least once a week there is always something different to see each week. Walking distance to many restaurants, shops and the beautiful Lake Monroe lakefront.

For this particular service, I haven't had any issues with the staff and they have always been friendly and quick to assist me in this process. I usually ask for a return receipt and they comply promptly. This is a small store so they might be limited on services or some items usually found at larger UPS stores, but all in all, they do a good job and I haven't had any problems yet.
