Mail carrier threw my package down onto the walkway instead of placing it on my porch. Here are pictures of this person. No care if damaging the package and no care about someone stealing it. Hmmm maybe she has someone picking up packages after she throws them out front of the house. So sick of this stuff!! read more

The Mesquite Post Office should consider hiring delivery people who can read, understand, and follow directions. Our hold on mail ended last Thursday and the mail was delivered with a copy of my requested hold. Since then, the carrier continued to hold my mail. No delivery for three days until I met him today. THe mail was still being held since he didn't realize the mail hold was over. I now won't trust them again. read more

still haven't received a comforter that the post woman said she delivered to wrong house (2 easters ago) went through post master (he said too bad and then ignores our calls) and 1800 # did nothing. they are trash. USPS should stand for United States Passport Service! They were outstanding! Have you gone to get your very first passport? Seriously, you have to go in person and most places want you to make an appointment and/or take off work. The Mesquite USPS is one of the only places that takes walk-ins on a Saturday AND takes photos on site. I called ahead and I'm glad I did becuase there's some things you should know. 1)There is a sign in sheet and they yank it at noon. Everyone on the list will be served. The whole she-bang shuts down around 2ish. 2)They do have a copy machine and photo machine there so you do not have to make umpteen billion copies of your drivers license trying to get both the front and back on the same sheet of paper. 3) Bring a book, sweater and snacks. You will be there a minimum of two hours. They two folks working the passport line were nice and worked really fast, it just takes a little bit. We were getting passports for myself and the munchkin. Note--KIDS UNDER 16 REQUIRE BOTH PARENTS TO BE THERE TO GET A PASSPORT. She will be doing mission work in the Domincan Republic this summer unless I freak out and say she can't go becuase the island is unstable. Either way, we will both have passports. read more

I've been using this PO since I was 16 (except the 3 years I moved to Garland), and the staff has barely changed, but the attitude, rudeness, and lack of care hasn't changed at all. Every time I'm there whoever I get to ship my items was short with me and every time I go pick something up they act like it's such a hassle! Recently I almost lost a package because they're only open when I'm at work for pick-up (which isn't the worker's fault, but still sucks for me personally) and they tried to deliver it to the wrong address..! How do you not DOUBLE CHECK the address before saying it was undeliverable. That's lazy and makes you incompetent to work that position. They also don't have a working phone! The one I found online doesn't connect and the phone number on the UPS hotline is different, but also doesn't work. This might have been fixed by the time anyone reads this, but that's just ridiculous. Sadly I'm stuck with them if I ever need to pick a package up, but to deliver I only go to the one in Garland near my job! They're more kind and actually seems to care a little. read more

The Mesquite Post Office is the worst managed facility I have ever dealt with. Trying to speak with a manager because they have failed to do their job is impossible. They never answer their phones or cell phones when I have an issue. I manage a shipping center and they don't show up to collect packages half of the time. The top manager Donna, is rude and has a bad attitude. It definitely flows down to other employees who are just like her! Half of them act like they hate their jobs......USPS needs to seriously look at this post office and clean house! read more

horrible customer service! My package was delayed more than a week, called the office they were being so rude, when i finally got the tracking saying the new expected day of delivery....... A women came and said that the package was in her house...... yet usps said it was comming.... they don't even know their stiff is at ,your package can get easily lost and yet they are the rudest!!!!! I have had problems at the Mesquite post office in the past. Packages delivered to wrong addresses. Thankfully it was returned by a very nice lady. Well let me tell y'all this. I totally messed up while placing an order with JCrew. I called JCrew to fix the issue. It was too late package in route. Called the post office day package was to deliver, encountered a very rude man. Called back later and God placed the sweetest lady there for me. Her name was Deena. She took care of my mess up at the same time making me feel like I mattered. Thanl you Ms. Deena my faith in humanity has been restored. And to top it off at the pick up window was another sweet one.Ms. Tabetha. Thanks ladies. Made my day. read more

Hate to say it, but the USPS is failing. I ordered an item from Amazon that was transported and "delivered" by USPS. It was apparently delivered at the mailbox...at 8 p.m. This item would definitely not fit inside a mailbox, being that it was two tail light housings for my truck. Either way, I go out to the mailbox, and of course there is no item. I searched all around outside the house just to be sure, because this isn't the first time the laziness of the USPS has shown itself. Multiple attempts to contact the USPS had failed. I've called the store nearly 10 times, and no answer. I've gone to the website to start an online claim only to get the message "your request cannot be completed at this time." I've even gone to the physical location, and the employees were beyond useless. I hate to side with Amazon, but they've never failed me as far as delivery and customer service goes. If this is the type of service that the USPS is willing to provide, I hope Amazon runs them into the dirt. read more

The attitudes at this particular Post Office are nasty, rude, and ugly. I will go to UPS or FedEx for any of my postal needs rather than deal with the silly behaviors of these postal workers. They are ALWAYS closing early by locking the doors EARLY, and very unprofessional. I refuse to be treated with such disrespect because they believe they can get away with it just because they work for the USPS. read more

Literally the worst service ever!! The carrier NEVER delivers my packages right the first time. I always have to call and complain first. I'm not sure how hard it is to actually read an address label and put it in the right box, but this is ridiculous. Completely incompetent!!! The customer service is terrible, the woman who answered the phone actually hung up on me. When I called back to speak with a supervisor he was even less helpful than the woman. They had conflicting information about their 'procedures' and sounded like I was unreasonable for asking to pick up a package that was 10ft away from them. Completely ridiculous, this isn't the first I've called to ask a question and the only answer I ever get is no, without the employee even checking the answer is always no. read more

The customer service is the worst. Unbelievably rude over the phone when trying to make appointments for passports. Even worse in person.

This location no longer accepts walk-ins for passport applications. As of today appointments are only available over 2 weeks out. Their Saturday hours are only from 9 AM to noon. From looking at their hand written reservation book, they reserve half an hour for each person, so they don't see a lot of people per day. If you're very confused about the passport process then you'll be very happy with the helpful lady working there. If you've read anything about the process already then you may get annoyed with her flood of information. They only accept checks and money orders, and there's a $25 fee on top of the typical passport fee. read more

I am very disappointed with the Grubb Station - USPS in Mesquite, TX. I mailed an Easter package to my 6 year old granddaughter in Georgia on April 6, 2017. The paid receipt stated that the package should approximately reach it's destination on or by April 11th. After the package wasn't delivered by EASTER, I started my own investigation to try and locate it, but to my dismay, I learned that the package never left the Mesquite station. I called the 1-800... USPS number several times (sometimes on hold up to 40 mins.) before finally speaking to a live person to request the status of my lost package. After no satisfaction from the local station in Mesquite, I filed a claim for a loss or stolen package and continued calling periodically. At the end of April I received a call from the USPS in GA letting me to know they were trying to locate my missing package, and advised me to go on line to usps.com and report the issue to Consumer Affairs. During this time, the Mesquite station never called or showed any concern. Well, fast forwarding to May 15, 2017, a brown box was left outside my doorsteps with the package I had sent in April without a postage label. Yesterday, I took the package along "with my receipt" and spoke with a manager letting her know I had paid, but the clerk didn't place the stamp on the package. She slightly apologized and told me she could issue me a refund in a day or two. I said to her, "NO MA'AM, that won't work for me!" She asked a clerk to assist me and walked back towards the back. REALLY??? Today, I spoke to the Consumer Affairs division at GA and explained my dilemma after my visit to the Mesquite USPS on Tuesday. Now I am patiently waiting on a call from Steve, the Post Master in Mesquite. read more

Our mailman isn't doing his job. He delivers our mail, but when we have mail to be picked up....he leaves it here! So when we have mail to be sent, outgoing mail, we have to take it to a public mailbox or post office. When we have bills to be sent out, this is a huge problem. Our mailman is either busy talking on his Bluetooth or just isn't paying attention and it's very irritating because his job requires him to pick up outgoing mail, not just deliver new mail. read more

I am a disabled man that has been able to move my mail box up by my front door because I can't walk down my walkway steps and all of my mail is delivered to right outside my front door and makes it easier for me to retreive.
