Always forget about this location, but it was right in the area in which I was meeting a friend for coffee. Even though there was only one employee on duty with a somewhat long line, I was in and out in under ten minutes. Way to go! The pricing was clear cut for what I was mailing out, including a tracking number and insurance. Wow! The facility was clean, including the parking lot, and parking was easy to navigate. Horribly rude service here today. I took a box in that would've taken maybe an inch of packing tape to seal in the Clark said I had to buy an entire roll of packing tape for it. They couldn't be kind enough to just give me a little strip of tape no they had to be cheap and that's pretty pathetic. Not great customer service very disappointed and won't ever be back. I'll go to my Normal shipping store THE BOX IN TCU where they are kind and they share and they don't mind giving a little to make their customers happy read more

Great location from our condo and an easy In and out - I drove there since I was out, but could easily walk I. Warm weather, I waited less than a minute and was promptly served, purchasing postage and insurance for my sisters' package and back out the door, thanks to Ashley's smiling, efficient service. Let me start with that I NEVER give a 1 Star review but this takes the cake. Not that this review is going to change anything with the United States Postal Service but here we go..... The West 6th Ave branch closes at 5pm. I get it, but when you walk into the storefront at 457pm and fill out the necessary forms to mail a certified letter, it takes few minutes. Mind you I am filling out the form IN FRONT of the counter. Get in line and wait. At 506pm the lady behind the counter asks the gentleman behind me and myself, "Where did you come from?" and "I've already said that the lady in front of you was the last customer of the day" Well...... all I have is one simple letter to mail out, I've filled out the correct paperwork and all you have to do is accept it and tell me how much you want to get it to its destination. This woman is ADAMANT that she is done for the day and I have to leave immediately. WAY TO GO USPS! Award winning customer service once again!!!!!!!!!! P.S.- You have one job.... one job! Take peoples mail and charge us money... why can't you even get that right????? read more

I hate going to this post office because of one particular stubby lady. She has short brown curly hair and is beyond rude. I have encountered her three times already and she always gives me some attitude like I don't know any better and on one occasion she threw my package roughly into their bin like she was angry. She must hate her life or her job so whenever I see her I try to avoid her like the plague. The only reason I come here is because it's really close to my apartment and on my way to school. I just bite my lip whenever I come by and as long as my documents and packages get sent, that's all that matters. read more

Negative stars if I could rate it. The guy at the front counter was so rude. I asked for help and if he could help me calculate the cost of postage. I understand that he was busy, but I was in line and waited, so why was he ignoring me and rushing me out of the line? The point of going into the post office is to get help. Super kind & helpful staff! They helped me mail out over a dozen packages for work and it was done quickly and efficiently.

I don't expect much out of post offices, and this post office fit that low standard perfectly. The doors of the post office are open before 8:30, so people start lining up at the front of the service counter to try and beat the rush. The service counter was SUPPOSED to open up at 8:30, but the only guy working there was moving SO slowly that he didn't actually start servicing the first customer until 8:45. If people are trying to make it to the office by 9, I can see how this would be a problem. If you really want to get in and out as fast as you can, I would recommend arriving early at 8 and being first in that line at the service counter. (Or go to a FedEx Office like I plan on doing and never coming back to this dreaded place!) read more

This post office on University has made some amazing changes in the last 6 months. They got rid of some grouchy employees and Denise and her team are now STELLAR! Lines can still be long, but y'all, that's the post office. They know me by name when I walk in and are super friendly and patient. I'm very impressed by the great changes! read more

I don't enjoy going to the post office - I just don't. I'm usually carrying whatever packages in one hand and my baby in the other. I'm usually avoiding it like the plague. I do feel lucky that when I do have to make the dreaded trip, I have a nice, clean and convenient post office close to where I work. When I come in with my hands full, there always seems to be someone there to help me open doors and quickly get me in and out. I especially love Angela who is there most of the days I come in. I appreciate good customer service even if it's just the post office. read more

This is my local post office but it's a total pain to get to. It's located in Arlington Heights at the corner of the crazy 6 or 7 way intersection so traffic backs up and turning into the lot at peak hours will take a while. The staff I have experienced are friendly. I wish they would leave priority mail boxes out so I didn't have to wait in line to request them. read more

I'm not sure why there are bad reviews on this post office because the service was great when I visited this week. Super nice ladies at the front desk who helped me since I was a little lost on the best way to ship my two packages. Another customer that was before me in line commented about how much she loves coming to the post office, so I'm not the only one who is greatly appreciative of the customer service . Never once did the lady "helping" me look at me or say thank you...just gave me extreme attitude for questioning a priority envelope that they filled in the wrong slot. This post office has lines out the door with only one person waiting on customers. My mailbox very frequently has other people's mail, mail addressed to another box, and my mail has been put in other people's boxes, including my bank statement which was opened and presumably read before being put in my box where it belonged. The man who works behind the counter is rude and short tempered. The mailing supplies are not always available. read more
