They have been helpful loading heavy packages and have been very flexible in providing access to packages outside of posted hours. ----original review----- From the outside you would think that this is a nice quaint small-town post office. But the customer service here sucks royally. I am forced to have a post office box here because this small town doesn't receive mail service to your house. Anytime I get a package I have to either take off of work or send someone to pick it up from the window. The window is only open for up to two hours a day! And those hours are when I'm at work! The worst part is when you call for assistance you get some snarky smart a$$ dude who gives zero percent empathy for you the customer being inconvenienced by their crappy hours. They no longer offer package pickup on Saturday either. Plus UPS and FEDEX can't deliver directly to your house, so you have to come here to pick them up too. This place has the customer service of a post office in the Soviet Union.

She was kind and patient. After she processed everything and gave me my new license plate, I asked if I could borrow a screwdriver to attach the plate to my car. She had a gentleman who works in the office following me out to my car and he put my license plate on for me. Now that is what I call Service!

If only all postal experiences could go this smoothly:) Here's to the benefits of small town, old fashioned service! UPDATE: A Hong Kong Amazon contractor ("Betty" from Tennessee-- lol) would not refund me the $40 I spent on a counterfeit fabric shower curtain. I stupidly had not insured the return package, but I did lose the receipt. Catherine, head postal worker here, went through 3 days of receipts to locate my initial transaction, & (without me asking) gave me a printed copy of it & proof my package was received two days after I mailed it. She was happy to help. What other post office will do that for a customer? Yes, I am impressed w/ this small town service center!

So now I have to wait potentially weeks again for this order. Plus, the woman from this location who called me was extremely rude. Acted as if she would rather do anything but make phone calls she's paid to make. USPS must offer fantastic job security for her to get away with being that vile to customers. Each time I call, I seem to receive a different answer to the same question. In addition, several phone representatives have been rude and condescending during these interactions. When I previously asked an employee at the local office about these inconsistencies, I was informed that the phone representatives are located off-site and was advised to visit the Drew Street office in person for accurate assistance. As a disabled individual, traveling to the office is not always feasible. On May 14, 2026, I contacted the Clearwater office and spoke with Mrs. Steins. During the call, she repeatedly interrupted me, spoke in a dismissive manner, and implied that I was being dishonest regarding prior contact with the office. Specifically, when I referenced a previous visit to the Drew Street office on December 8, 2025, at approximately 11:00 a.m., she responded, "That's funny because it's not documented." I did, in fact, visit the Drew Street office on December 8, 2025. The in-person staff at that location have consistently treated me with professionalism, kindness, and respect, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I strongly encourage Social Security to review and audit phone interactions for professionalism and consistency in the information being provided. The call in question occurred on May 14, 2026, at approximately 3:32 p.m.
