It all started when I moved into an apartment that has hardwood (re; laminate) floors. I realized quickly that I needed a rug so my toes didn't freeze. I thought I found the perfect rug and ordered it in the size I thought I'd need. Well....apparently my skills at measuring need some help. It was too big. It fit the room but more as a carpet then a rug. This meant I had to return it. I called the place I got the rug to be told they don't do exchanges & that I would have to arrange to have UPS come and pick it up, at my expense, and they would then process any refund. Seriously? I went online, joined the UPS family by giving all my info & then scheduled a pick up. It seemed WAY too easy for something that was 12 feet long for them to just say 'ok, here we come!' but I put my faith in the system. Silly me. The most wonderful woman on the planet, who's name I WISH I got, showed up in her brown truck to pick up the rug, only to find out I don't have a label. Well....the rug place sent me the label they SWORE is all I'd need. Apparently not. They lied. Again. I had to go online to get this much sought after label. Sadly, every single time I went online to figure out how to do this, I got that ubiquitous Error Code 500. (*#$(*&Q#$. Ok. I guess I have to wade thru the autobot to get an actual person. I called UPS, fought bravely & valiantly thru the autobot's program and finally got a live human......who also gave me false information. What would it take dear kids for our heroine to get her rug picked up? What Herculean task would she now have to undertake? Enter the most Wonderful, Friendly, Helpful (dang....why didn't I get her name?!?!?!) UPS driver ....the same driver that came before & tried to help. She got on the phone to her boss, explained the situation & while I was standing by, we both learned that the customer service rep lied, charged me double for a service that they wouldn't be able to perform. Sigh No worries said the Personable Lady Driver, I will take this rug in my truck to the UPS store, you follow behind me & we can get you all straightened out with a label & everything. Huzzah! I followed this seriously wonderful driver to said UPS store & was met with a general hilarity when they heard my tale of woe (shout out to Jenn!). They were all amazed at the indifference of the rug company, asked for its name and vowed to spread the word that NOONE should ever buy a rug from them....but that yes, they were able to get a proper UPS Tracking label on this bad boy & ship it right back to them using Ground (because it was already costing me a King's Ransom to send it back). Seriously. I know this review is wordy & somewhat silly, but I honestly cannot sing the praises of this UPS driver loud or high enough. I have nothing that has her name on it which is a shame. She deserves a SERIOUS holiday bonus for her generosity and customer service. Actually...everyone at this UPS Store location as well. They definitely helped me turn 54lbs, 12' x 13" of lemons into an s-ton of lemonade. Huzzah!

Buyer beware if you use this store for shipping. We shipped two computers to two states, and they…read moremixed up the labels. We were told that because we didn't watch the entire packing process and watch them put on the labels, it's not their problem. We watched them make the boxes, put in the computers and throw the correct label into each one. I didn't know we had to micromanage them to protect ourselves. That would have required going into the back of the store anyway, which is not allowed.

For whatever reason, my employer (can't go too much into that, y'know how code of conducts go…read moreright?) decided that even though I had a full FBI background check, it wasn't good enough. I now had to get fingerprinted in order to work for a certain state (think southern weirdly shaped state surrounded on both sides with water). Sigh. It was bad enough that the government has my name, now they also needed my fingerprints. What's next?(Don't answer!!!) I found only 2 places here in Burlington that did this. I first tried one close by to me but they kept cancelling my appointments. Well fine, I will go elsewhere. So, I made an appointment with Ship. Here is the deal, They made it seem like this was a weirdly top secret deal. They gave me a code I had to supposedly show the clerk and I needed certain forms of id blah blah woof woof. I got to Ship, and first wondered if it were open as it's very empty. Then I noticed there was someone there! He looked as confused as I did to find someone in the shop. We chatted for a bit, I told him I needed to get printed and he said in the chillest manner "k". He walked over to a computer and asked for my two forms of id, then squirted my hands to 'clean' and another mixture to make the print easier. Whatevs right? We got thru the process, joking during the whole time. He didn't tell me his name but he was definitely a very chill dude. The kind you reward in customer service as he probably doesn't get heated at all. He was so very nice that I didn't mind this extreme intrusion of my privacy. If you live in Burlington and find yourself in the same situation (who knows what's coming right?), may I suggest Ship. You honestly won't mind getting printed!
