Window World of Dallas - Fort Worth

Window World recently completed a full replacement of all 24 windows and a patio door in our 28…read moreyear old home. The experience was excellent from the first consultation all the way through post installation follow up. The quality of the new windows and door are as promised. Our home is noticeably more comfortable, and the reduction in road and air traffic noise is remarkable. A neighbor referred me to Tim, our Design Consultant, and I'm grateful she did. Even though Tim was new, he was a former customer and made sure every detail was addressed. Every home presents its own challenges, and our installation crew certainly encountered a few -- but I was genuinely impressed by their skill, persistence, and consistently positive attitude. Once the installation was complete, the Production Manager, Geral, stepped in seamlessly. He coordinated with Tim and specialist Clayton and followed through on all of my post project questions. Their teamwork and communication made the entire process smooth and reassuring. Overall, we are very pleased with the results and the people who made it happen.

I know the Yelp reviews are scary, but their Google rating is great. I hadn't checked Yelp until after we chose them, and honestly, I feel like we got lucky. We got quotes from 4 companies for 12 windows (20 total with 2 bay windows). Renewal by Andersen wanted $60K ($50K if we "signed today"), Pella and Champion were around $30K with gimmicks attached. Window World came in around $12K--no gimmicks. That price sealed it. The sales process was smooth. The sales guy was great, pricing made sense, dates were set quickly. Day of install? I'd give it a B-. The crew showed up on time, but communication was tough (very limited English), and they didn't feel like full-time Window World employees--just guys with branded T-shirts. The install took 7.5 hours. There was some standing around, a guy outside on his phone all day, and one worker constantly video chatting with his kid. It's a big investment for us, and I expected a bit more professionalism. They left glass shards behind (we have dogs--scary), tracked in dirt, and didn't reattach some blind brackets. One wall got damaged, but they patched it. You'll need to move everything away from the windows and expect to do a little DIY afterward--vacuuming, hardware, maybe some paint touch-ups. The windows themselves look good. A big gap during install was sealed properly and now looks great. Some windows open smoother than others, and the screens are a little sticky, but they all work. The final walkthrough was awkward--the guy barely spoke English, which made it hard to ask questions. And yeah, you have to handwrite your credit card number on a form at the end. Yikes. In the end, we're happy with the windows and the price. Just go in with realistic expectations--be ready to roll up your sleeves a bit. Solid B-.

My husband and I needed to replace the windows in our master bedroom, so we searched online and found Amazing Exterior. When the salesman visited our home to provide a quote, he emphasized that their company was very large, with numerous branches, and claimed their name was one we could trust. Based on his assurances, we signed the contract that day. We made a down payment on 9/11, and a technician came to measure the windows on 9/24. However, we didn't receive any updates after that. I emailed and called several times, and each time I was informed that the order had been placed with the factory and that I would receive an email update. Yet, until last week--almost three months after our down payment--we had not received any email updates or further communication about our order. Frustrated by the lack of updates, my husband reached out to the salesman again and asked what exactly we had purchased. The salesman's response was simply, "Windows." My husband pointed out how unusual it was to buy a product we hadn't even seen. He explained, "We didn't just buy windows from you--we bought trust. But you were the first to break that trust." The salesman had no response. When we requested to cancel the order, the salesman claimed that the contract couldn't be broken because the order had already been submitted to the factory and that canceling would result in financial loss for the company. But isn't that the reality of doing business? If customers break a contract, we face penalties. So why should we, as customers, have to worry about a vendor's losses when they failed to honor their side of the agreement? We waited for months, clueless and without updates, while they didn't seem to care. We understand that there are many window vendors available, and customers often choose companies based on their name and reviews. We trusted Amazing Exterior to do a good job, but they failed to uphold their promises. The salesman had boasted about their large, trustworthy company, and we believed in that trust. However, over the course of three months, the company never contacted us to provide updates or inform us of delays. The contract clearly stated that we would be contacted, provided with an ETA via email, and that delivery would take 2-6 weeks from the date of the agreement. Yet, the salesman seemed unaware of these terms. After all this, we received a call on Monday notifying us that installation was scheduled for Wednesday 12/18. This lack of communication, transparency, and accountability was deeply disappointing. Trust is the foundation of any business transaction, and unfortunately, Amazing Exterior failed to meet even basic expectations.
