I was so impressed with Dr. Baies. I've had lots of doctors since I left Ontario, but none have come close to my family doc there. Dr. Baies made me feel secure that I had found my new family doctor. She is a very good listener, she's thorough in her tests and questions, and her guidance on several medical matters have given me confidence in her. I like this clinic too. The nurses are very friendly. It seems they've all been there for a while and there's a feeling that I'm in really good hands when I'm there. It can be quite a wait to see Dr. Baies, I've been told, as she's a very popular doctor. Bring a book and keep your afternoon open. But I've been fairly successful getting in quickly. It's slower during the early afternoon, but I did have to wait over 6 weeks to get in for an annual check-up.

I've always found it easy to get an appointment with my doctor, but when she has been unavailable, I've seen other doctors at the clinic (at least four) and been comfortable with them all. Since all my charts and files are kept at the clinic, whichever doctor I see has my history there, and my regular GP can access them next time I see her. The thing I love the most about this clinic is that it is also a walk in, and my doctor reserves a couple of walk in spots a day for her regular patients. When I have had need of walk in services, I've been able to call the clinic when it opens and often get a quick visit with my doctor. I hate going to the doctor, so if I like a clinic, it's worth sharing!

I usually donate in the late afternoon and getting out at rush hour was never fun at the old location. Now you can jump on the Whitemud or take Gateway or Calgary Trail to make your way home, The inside is very open and airy. They have great all gender bathrooms. They are wheelchair accessible and have push button open and lock which helps with all abilities of people. The staff as usual are great. They have a huge snack counter for you pre and post-donation. When that narrative failed, they attempted again to convince me I was in pain and unwell due to lack of exercise. I used to be an amateur bodybuilder and was incredibly passionate about said hobby. When I explained I have deteriorated from an unknown ailment, which has become so bad it's becoming difficult to walk - he proceeded to try to convince me they could put me on a workout plan that would make me get better by working out less, then lost his course of logic and tried to convince me their workout plan would somehow make me exercise more than what I am currently capable. I also was not offered any medication to mitigate the pain and have been suffering just as much as I was prior to the appointment. I saw a neurologist two days before the pain specialist which was also a disorganized and unprofessional disaster. I'm nearly convinced that clinic is a tax hustle.

This location has a much smaller waiting room which can make it very crowded on a Saturday morning when everyone is sick and this is one of the few open on the weekend. When I went it was around noon on a Saturday and most of the chairs were taken and the line-up was about 15 people deep. I only had to drop something off so I didn't have to experience the wait. I did here the front staff tell the woman in front of me the wait was well over an hour though. The staff seemed nice with my limited interaction and there is a ton of parking here.

As a retired IT manager, I tried accessing the forms manually through the website across multiple devices (Mac and PC) and isolated the network using both Wi-Fi and cellular data, but the site was completely down. It took a few days of periodic checking before the forms finally became accessible. It would be highly beneficial for the clinic to implement better quality assurance testing and monitoring to ensure these digital tools remain stable. Appointment Timing and Door Opening: The automated system asks patients to arrive 15 minutes early. Many seniors value punctuality and will naturally arrive 30 minutes early as a courtesy. However, the clinic doors remained locked until 9:35 AM. While waiting outside wasn't a major issue on a nice spring day, many seniors rely on transit or drop-offs and shouldn't have to wait outside in inclement weather. If you ask patients to be early, it would be a huge help if the doors opened an early to accommodate them. Conclusion: Because this is a cardiology clinic, many clients are elderly or managing stressful health conditions. When automation doesn't work smoothly or doors are locked, it can add unnecessary anxiety to an already stressful day. The tech concepts here are great, but taking the time to thoroughly test the software and coordinate clinic hours with automated messaging would create a much more comfortable, seamless experience for everyone. Additionally, providing a 24-hour blood pressure monitor is a great service for gathering practical data. However, the physical setup of the device could really use some improvement. The unit hangs around your neck, but the tubing hangs completely loose and unrestricted, making it quite awkward to get on with your day. This isn't rocket science or high-tech; simply including a basic belt clip or an attachment to secure the system properly would completely fix the issue and massively improve patient comfort.
