Review for the business class lounge…read more This takes the cake for one of the best lounges I have ever experienced in my life; the showers here were absolute game changers for my 30+ hour journey and made feel like I was alive again. I used this lounge as two different hours in the day; once in the afternoon/evening and once in the morning. I honestly faced much less of a crowd in the morning with 0 wait for the showers. In the afternoon, they quoted me a 30-40 min wait but I was able to get in within 15 min. The shower suites are great with an individual toilet, shower, and necessary amenities including shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, a dental kit, hair tie, blow dryer. Honestly, amazing. Kept quite clean between travelers as well. Now on to the food, good lord there is a selection of food here between the western items, the barista, the bar, the noodle bar, and the tea room. I mostly frequented the noodle bar which I loved for having so many veg friendly options like the cucumber, the wood ear mushroom, and the tomato vermicelli noodles. I also grabbed some garlic eggplant and scallion noodles on the side. I wish I had tried the coffee station but honestly, they had hong kong milk tea in jugs and you know a girl couldn't resist. The tea room also had hot teas and egg tarts as well as some small sweeter bites. The staff was friendly, helpful even when there was a bit of language barrier at times. Really well maintained, peaceful lounge which helped me survive my journey and feel refreshed.

Some cutbacks are definitely noticeable, especially with the absence of TWG tea and fewer quality food and plant-based options available compared to before. At times it feels like they are just winging it and see where we land. Pun intended. That said, the staff remains kind and helpful. Special thanks to the cleaning staff who managed the facilities who enhances the experience. The showers are fantastic. A refreshing break during travel. The L'Occitane amenities are a lovely touch. I also enjoyed the whimsy of having a non-alcoholic drink dedicated to Sir Charles Frosty Blue. American Express' apparent loyal watchdog in every lounge. It added a fun element to my visit. The team is very friendly and efficient which made the place an overall welcoming place to be. There are two main seating areas--at the time I visited, I found the seating area tucked away in the back and by the noodle bar and Asian food selections to be the less busy and quieter area. As a business class traveler, with a layover, you will have access to 3 of their lounges. They are spread over 65 gates in Terminal 1. So it depends where your connection departure gate is. In my case, that meant that I should visit the Wing. I have been here a year ago, when I had an almost 12 hour layover and visited all the 3 lounges. Coming to the Wing this time, really impressed me. While it may not have much seating, its food choices have vastly improved. There are many different culinary areas with enticing food choices. Most significant, there is also a noodle bar, which is nothing short of spectacular. What is disappointing here is the bar. All the Spirit brands are low tier. If you can stomach that, the service her is exemplary. The staff is happy, accommodating, polite and friendly.

As a lover of Thai Cuisine, I naturally would go for this great lounge that is close to the departing terminal. Having been here many times, I have to say the food items changes and they always offer authentic Thai dishes that highlights freshness and a great variety of flavours! As you can see from my photos, they always have different noodles that you can make your own, and in the salad section, you can taste all the different combinations of fruits and vegetables with different dressings, I especially like their version of Thai dressing made with fresh chillies, fish sauce and lime juice! Thai Airlines offers a great venue for travellers to experience a taste of Thai before they embark on their journey!! Still has the basic western classics like sandwiches and bagels. Had the noodles and authentic chicken. Thumbs up for bitter lemon! Believe some mushrooms as well, not sure as it all went down the chute pretty fast, as I found out my departure gate just got changed. The beauty of these lounges when the staff scans your boarding pass, another bonus. Usually I'm quite astute with PA announcements, but in foreign airports, I lose a few steps, not sure if it's the wide variety of lounges, or the behemoth-sized airport layouts lol. A drop in one star due to its office-clinic style of white tiles flooring. Just a handful of lounge chairs in the "sheltered" carpeted section; the rest is open area, with the airport ceiling. Yes, located on 2nd floor. Compared to the Plaza Premium & United, an OK variety of food. Well worth the membership folks.

I always look forward to checking out airport lounges, especially when traveling internationally,…read moreso I was excited to visit the United Club. The lounge itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of seating and a nice variety of food and beverage options. One thing that stood out to me was the self-serve bar, complete with a sign that read, "Please consume responsibly." As for the food, it was just okay. There was a decent selection, but as an American, many of the offerings didn't really appeal to my palate. Overall, it's a solid lounge with a relaxing atmosphere and good amenities.

The space has been lightly renovated and remains probably the best and most beautiful United Club around. It literally soars above the airport main floor. I've been here during the reopening week in October 2025, and again in January 2026. The first time was a pretty crowded afternoon; today I was the first member there at 6AM opening. Morning offers a nice assortment of Continental, American and Chinese breakfast options. I love their pork/salted egg-preserved cabbage congee (jook). So simple and tasty. Staff walked around offering dim sum bamboo baskets of dumplings. Very classy for a United Club. The self-serve bar is well stocked and I also used the staff-assisted Bloody Mary cart. There are several showers too. The only disappointment is that during the renovation, the designers didn't bother to update the charger outlets to USB-C standard, still using the almost obsolete USB-A outlet types. Electrical outlets accept both US and Hong Kong UK standard plugs (but probably 220v).

For the star lines, one of the best clubs to be able to enjoy is Singapore's club. If flying Thai Air, it worth the super long walk to enjoy the food at this club. The offering at this club are solid: the club featured soup, salad, multiple entrees. They even had dim sum. Plus the club has a full bar where they were making martinis. What the club doesn't have is space and a view. The club gets super busy. Seating can be challenging. The club does not have any windows, so quite dark and biting to sit for long times. As the club is not super large, the bathroom amenities are minimal. The bathroom only had a few stalls. There are showers, which is great if you've been traveling for a while. Not there is a first class club next door which was quiet. Worth the stop for the food, not the views!

(This review was also posted in The Bridge, https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-bridge-香港)…read more We were invited to visit a Cathay Pacific lounge in the Hong Kong International Airport when we checked in.  The friendly staff at the counter said that we could go to any of the 3 lounges located at gate 2, 35, and 65 respectively.  I asked her which one was the best.  Her answer was: the gate 2 one had no shower, and gate 65 was the largest.  After we found out that our flight had been assigned gate 32, it was a no-brainer that we would choose the lounge at gate 35 for its proximity, and later we learnt that that's the Bridge. When we arrived at the Bridge, there were 2 escalators connecting the gate level with the lounge, one going down directly to it, the other going back up.  In the center was the reception area of the lounge where friendly staff welcomed us.  She told us that Chinese/Asian food was to our left, and western food to our right. The 3 of us turned left for Chinese food.  It was a long lounge and very crowded (I found that this was due to another CP lounge was closed for renovation).  There were sections of different seats, but most of them seemed to be filled.  When there seemed to be no further section, my husband asked a staff, and the answer was there was another section farther down, that's where we settled down.  There was decent Chinese food, including their signature Wonton Noodle Soup at the Noodle Bar.  I ordered at the bar, the cook gave me a buzzer, its red lights lit up when the noodle was ready for pick up.  It only took 2 minutes.  I had to transport the hot noodle back to my table, though.  I also picked up a few dim sum and several pieces of steamed rice rolls and added peanut sauce and sweet sauce to them (HK street food).  These were all pretty good.  I was going to get a bowl of congee as well, but was happy that I didn't.  If I did, I would have no room for the food that I actually loved! What made me crave were to be found from the other side of the reception area, where  I decided to explore the section with western food as well.  Long story short, the little bite sized cake and a mini twist pastry with fruit bits were surprisingly delicious.  I only took one of each and walked all the way back.  When I decided to go back for seconds, they had totally switched from breakfast items to lunch.  I picked up 2 savory appetizers and 2 mini lemon tartlets, one intended for my husband.  They were also very good, but the freshly baked mini pastry with crispy edges still lives rent free in my head weeks later! If I ever go to this lounge again, I will split my visit between the 2 sections.  First go to the Chinese wing, and then our entire group of 3 would go to the western section to have pastries and coffee, or other drinks from their bar. Since I have not tried their hot cooked food in the western wing, I could not comment on those. I should mention that all the staff there were very friendly and polite.  The whole place was modern and comfortable, and was kept very clean.  It was a nice lounge to relax and stretch before a flight, especially a long haul one.  I truly enjoyed my 2-hour visit there!
