Prefer this concept over their older lounge as it is more in line with offerings in Asia. It will be better if they provide more food options besides the usual eggs and sausages. I finally got a chance to try their dinner. I was usually there for breakfast time. Absolutely love their hot food and drinks. Variety food options accommodate many people who have diet restrictions. Spacious seats/table/booths. Plugs by the walls and lounge chairs. Some of them are by the dining tables. Bathroom is clean and has many stalls. Sanitary pads for emergency. The staff were very nice and they cleaned the tables quickly so other people can sit. I think It's worth it to be a card member and use all the features while you traveling. read more

Renovated and still subpar: tried no fewer than five USB outlets before finding one what worked. Unlike the lounge by C123, this one does not have a live barista for coffee and you're using just machines with no milk alternatives. Bartender here much friendlier than the staff over in Polaris lounge but if in Terminal C, pick the 124 lounge over 74. And not like we get to choose, but both these options are superior to the lounge in A, which barely has a decent food spread no matter what time I've visited. read more

Absolutely not since I just ate my way through NJ food and buffets are not my style since many people were sneezing over the so-called protective glass. The bathrooms were clean, and the best service came from the cleaning staff who were very tuned into the needs of weary travelers. The front desk staff could use a refresh class or maybe a skilled 101 class on how to treat travelers. There definitely is a huge difference between the customer service in other United Club lounge such as Honolulu and even Houston. I was curious about what the wellness area was and when I asked the inside customer service representative, she looked at me like I had just stolen her pet and said curtly that is for breastfeeding moms. Personally, I think that is a great service for new moms but how did she assume I was not one? Anyways, it was nice to have a relaxing place to chill until a few moments before take off. read more

Nice new feel here at gate 74 this club is really designed to accommodate the masses. It's got a bit of a cafeteria feel to it. Although there are lots of intimate spaces, there is a big section designed to accommodate groups of bodies. Coffee situation is ok although I would like to drink out of a ceramic mug and avoid adding more material to the landfill. I was there at 5:20am and by 5:45am the hoards had arrived. Lines for food and lots of hustle and bustle. Food selection is good, not award-winning but when you are serving the credit card caring masses, you have to lower expectations. I had a bagel and some fruit and called it a day. I can see this being hectic at peak times but definitely a nice comfortable space that feels new. read more

It's been a few months since I've been to this United Club location and I was pleasantly surprised to find it newly renovated. Although it is not as big and great as the United Club near gates C120-139, it has definitely improved after the renovation. Location: Terminal C near Gate 74. Go up the escalator for the entrance. Self check-in or with the attendants. Food & drinks: There is both hot and cold food available. I came here in the morning and the breakfast options were adequate. I love that they have a water refill station for your personal water bottle. The bar is spacious with plenty of seating but doesn't open until 6am. Seating: Fairly spacious with comfy chairs, adequate charging ports, tables for dining, and also individual booths that are perfect to work at. Probably the best flight layover I've ever had, thanks to United Airlines Club Lounge!? Let me start...the hummus was excellent, I had 2 servings with the pita chips. The pasta, roasted chicken & Brussel Sprouts were amazingly delicious, I also had 2 servings as well. I was over all impressed with all of the high quality healthy food selections. The beverage selections were also plentiful, including the bar complimentary choices. The Red Sangria was especially good. The lounge is very spacious, plenty of seating with power outlets to recharge electronic devices. The United Airlines Club Lounge provides an upscale privileged ambience ...very boujee, yet very convenient for long layover, makes air travel more enjoyable. The friendly efficient staff is very attentive, strives for superior customer service. United Airlines is very consistent when it comes to customer service. This Review is about UNITED CLUB near Gate C-123 When I last reviewed the EWR United Club, there were two options. The remains of an expansive lounge that was pretty good where the Polaris Lounge is located now, and the one near Gate C-74 that has recently been renovated and is open for business again. But this UPDATE is about the "new" lounge at the far end of Terminal C near gate C-123. It's amazing! Often crowded - but amazing. The use of space and light is better than any other United Club I can think of, and while I've never checked it out for myself, I believe there are even showers available - something that is fairly common in Europe and Asia, but at least in the United Chain, essentially non-existent in the US. This lounge came on line just about the time United decided to step up their food and beverage game, and I would have to say that has steadily improved to date. The C-123 lounge has a particularly good spread with sandwiches, hot food, sometimes even a taco bar. The wine and liquor at the bar is all essentially bottom shelf, but they'll make a decent Old Fashioned or Gin and Tonic upon request. Most of the wines are of the $10 a bottle varietal. For "free," that all seems fair enough. What I like most about the space is the abundance of light. I usually plant at one of the high-tops near the plate glass windows, plug in my computer, and watch the circus on the tarmac. That said, there are plenty of nooks and crannies if you want to stow away in a corner to get some work done - as well as more casual seating areas as well. Previously, I would have said SFO had the best United Club, but not it's sort of a tie between EWR and ORD. Essentially identical spaces with similar amenities. I was on the verge of ditching my membership altogether, but if United remains on their current course, it's worth every penny! If you're halfway between C-123 and C74, even though C-74 has a new coat of paint, I say head for C-123. I'll write a review of the other one elsewhere, but an old house with new paint is still... well... an old house. read more

This was my first visit to this Club since its major renovation. Its central location in Terminal C is ideal for departing, arriving or connecting flights. The new interior is modern with a subdued color palette. There are booths, tables and counters for seating. The bar stretches across the back of the Club providing a great tarmac view. I stopped here for breakfast after an arrival flight and late afternoon before an evening departure. The hot and cold breakfast buffet was very good, but the late afternoon buffet was just so so. Drinks from the bar were excellent, as were the coffees. Club staff were very nice and helpful, from front-end attendants to table staff. I specifically went to the club next to the gate 74 as I got an email from United touting completion of the renovation project, so I wanted to check it out. I understand that this is not an easy issue to solve, but my major problem was lack of sitting space. I had to circle and circle around until I spotted a little space at the table by the window. Food was okay, nothing really to write home about. It was impossible to get to the bar to order a drink so I had to just settle for water. I think if United would eliminate bar and instead have some wine and beer available for self pour, they would save money and would be able to increase the seating space - this is how it is typically done in Europe. We had a four our layover so my united club passes came in handy. The club at gate 120 had everything you can possibly need for a long layover. We had a red eye flight coming in so we got here when they opened and they were serving breakfast. They had a huge breakfast bar and the food was pretty good. There were a bunch of snacks for you to take with you to munch on your flight. They also have showers, changing rooms, bathrooms and a bar. We were exhausted so we ate breakfast had a drink and took advantage of couches and took a looooong nap before our flight. It was early so it really wasn't busy when we were there. If I had it my way I would have stayed at the bar and got drunk off of wine, but my boyfriend told me that was alcoholic activities and I should chill he was right lol I really needed that nap before our 10 hour flight home. read more

We had a long layover, so I booked Business class, partly so we could use this lounge. First Class from the Caribbean can access this lounge for free. They scanned our boarding passes and let us in with no issues. It was extremely busy. Probably around 5pm on a Saturday. It was so busy, there were few places to sit, so we sat at a high top table. The design of this, when you also have to deal with your carry on bags, just doesn't make much sense. It was very uncomfortable. We were really hungry, so my husband went to the buffet while I sat with our stuff, then I went. I'm vegetarian and he's not. I found the food pretty disappointing. It felt like cafeteria food to me. They did have vegetarian options, which I appreciate. But the vegetarian caprese sandwich was on strange bread. My husband said the bread he had on his was good. There was fruit, so I had a banana. There were cookies, which were originally chocolate chip, but switched to oatmeal raisin (gross, lol). There was salad, but it was strange cafeteria looking salad that didn't look good, so I didn't try it. There was a cold pasta and a warm one. The cold one had a unique sauce on it. I'm not sure what it was, and it was very odd tasting. The warm one was ok and just had tomato sauce. And there were some cheese cubes. So I didn't exactly eat like a king, but it was ok. My favorite thing was the Coke freestyle machine. The coffee bar looked good, but it was late in the day, and I just didn't want it. And we had just come from an all inclusive resort, so neither of us went to the bar either. The bathrooms were incredibly nice, and probably the nicest airport bathrooms I've ever been in. It cleared out an hour or so later, and we found a better spot to sit. Still not very comfortable. To me, it felt like there was a lot of wasted space, and they got contemporary type furniture to try to make it look cool rather than actually be functional or comfortable. It probably saved us at least $50 from eating dinner somewhere else, but I'm sure that also would have been better food. I wouldn't pay to get in here, but it's ok if it comes with your ticket. I would give a zero if possible. If you'd like to meet the rudest, most unprofessional, condescending woman that ever worked "customer disservice" at the entrance to an airline lounge, visit here (the UAL lounge at Newark). I was there in September 2024, and cannot believe the rude, blonde female I encountered at the entrance is in United's employ. Is management on to her bad behavior? If not, why not? If so, why do you keep her? Further, United is dishonest to passengers by listing some domestic tickets as "first class" for customers on their tickets and in the public's reservation system, when in fact "internally" in their system it's a "Z" class and not a true first class ticket; more of a domestic business class. As a long-time UAL customer, they have drastically changed (and for the worse) with regard to how they treat customers. And UAL's online customer service was not helpful when I reported these issues. Nice way to lose business United. I will avoid flying UAL as much as possible now and in the future. read more

It's massive and accommodates everyone with a place to sit and relax, and the food options and presentation are the best I seen with restaurant quality selections to choose from. Well after three or four years of remodeling, we're finally done with the sad little "pop up" terminal C United Lounge. However, for how large the space is, it is very popular and quite crowded at certain times. But it's definitely a nice reprieve from the general terminal area if you have extra time before your flight. As with most airport lounges, there's a selection of different types of seating, though I don't believe this lounge has any family rooms or private work spaces like other ones do. A full bar and a selection of cold and warm foods plus dessert round out the offerings. And much nicer bathrooms that the terminal bathrooms are also a major plus. read more

This club lounge is in terminal C and up on the third floor. It has a nice view overlooking the lower level shops and this huge centerpiece thingie. The restrooms are right by the entrance and for some reason there's only 2 stalls in the women's restroom. There's no amenities whatsoever... no hand lotion, no qtips, face wash, hair spray... nada! They should at least have some mouthwash or something, sheesh. How are ppl able to refresh themselves before, after or in between flights? Go on to the right side of this circular lounge and you'll hit the snack bar (there's usually a line) and you'll find hot soup, crackers, cheese cubes, 1 - deli meat, salad mix, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, celery sticks and hummus. Oh there's also some cookies too. The food selection was very limited and quite disappointing. Keep walking and you'll find the hot beverage area... coffees, lattes and teas are available. They have fresh mint, lemons and pieces of fresh ginger you can add to your tea or hot water. They even have honey but no raw sugar. Then you hit the bar area for purchased drinks. Keep going and you'll hit the water and soft drinks area. They also have some candy, pretzels and banana chips you can snack on and little baggies you can use to take some onboard with you. I purchased a day pass since I had about 4 hours to kill before my flight and I figured it'll be a little more comfy in the lounge... and that I would have some food and drink... well I had plenty to drink but the food was quite lacking... I had some of their vegetarian chili that was the hot soup of the day... and even though I didn't eat the beans the beans flavor and nutrients was all in the sauce... so needless to say I was bloated and gassy the whole flight home. It is not a very comfortable feeling especially since many ppl get bloated on flights already. So United, take note, don't give ppl stuff that is gonna make them bloated! Also no inflammatory foods bcs ppl swell on flights already! (They has red pepper hummus and tomatoes for salads)... Since I arrived to the lounge in a wheelchair, they had wheelchair services available. They knew of my flight times and they were on time in picking me up and dropping me off at the gate. However they took me too early so the first guy left me at the gate while another one was suppose to help me onboard. There was some confusion and I almost didn't get help to go onboard. It gets a bit annoying and aggravating when things don't go according to plan... Anyways. 3 stars for this lounge as it is lacking in many things - oh and they don't even have loungers where one can take a nap! And the lounge was packed! They should have some seats designed for the disable bcs I had to circle around twice to find a seat. read more
