When you walk in you can pretty much immediately tell that this is not your typical "run of the mill" smoke shop. We have all had to deal with the unfortunate stereotype, the seedy, dark hole in the wall run by a "lazy stoner" with all the personality of a wet cardboard box.. In contrast, OG Smoke shop takes that stereotype and stomps on it! This place is well-lit, with an open, inviting store layout and in general the shop is just pristine. I have no idea how they keep everything dust-free and all of the glass cases fingerprint and smudge free to boot! Each and every time my husband &/or I have come into the store, we walk away well pleased. The woman that works there takes the time to greet everyone as they walk in and seems genuinely happy to help &/or answer any questions. The staff are available when needed, but they don't hover - which is really appreciated! During our most recent trip to OG the woman (the manager?) that helped us even remembered us from our last visit - a long time ago! She was friendly and knowledgeable, even saving us from making the dreaded glass nail mistake that so many have apparently made. Bottom line, we have been to a LOT of shops in the area and OG SMOKE SHOP IS JUST THE VERY BEST!! (I am noting OG as MODERATELY PRICED, but it really depends on how crazy you go.)

Some of the bowls were very pretty and I was recommended to use a frequency tuner app to check on the sound and vibration I wanted. I bought one already from another store so I wished I came here before. Sometimes having so many selections could be detrimental. I came back twice and I still couldn't find a bowl that resonated with me. The service was good though. They tried to help me find the right bowl. Maybe you'd have better luck than me.

Guy was on his phone when I walked in at 1:30pm Tuesday April 15th, didn't look up when greeting me…read moreand was on his phone while guiding me to the vape batteries. The sticker price for the battery I got was 24.99. When i get to the register, he tells me he'll give me a discount if i pay in cash. Otherwise it's 30.00 plus tax. Which is false advertising, because it was listed at 24.99. It seems like a pricing mistake by them, I say no problem ill be back with cash. Then i come back and the guy tells me it's 25 flat with cash. I ask him what about the discount? And he says yeah it was 30.00 without the discount and now it's 25. Which is dishonest, because the sticker says 25. So the discount is not only a lie to cover their pricing mistake, they also make the customer think that they are doing them a favor by mentioning the discount, when in reality they are wasting our time and insulting our intelligence by not honoring the listed prices. Pretty scummy and dishonest way to do business. If you make a listing mistake, you need to eat the cost so you dont essentially mislead customers, and negatively impact your reputation. Every reputable business owner knows this. Never going back, and taking my business somewhere where they dont assume im an idiot. UPDATE: I called the store after leaving the review and invited them to check their yelp reviews. The guy called me back after checking and threatened me with violence lol! I am now waiting for the police to arrive to make a report. Awesome customer service! Update 2: reported the threat to police. An officer Sanchez with Alhambra PD said he would go to Main Smoke Shop and attempt to talk to the guy. I chose the cookies and cream loose leaf's and those come in 2 per pack for 2.99 ... well they covered up the price with a sticker and up marked the price to $5 .... I was not going to pay extra for only 2 leaves in a pack just because of the flavor...or because they think it's exotic and can double the cost for their profit .... Left out of there disappointed and won't be coming back.... Tip of the day: don't overcharge people for something that clearly has price on it... especially when familiar customers who know what they are buying and know that other places would not do this. We will take our business elsewhere!
