We were so happy with the new driveway and front yard landscaping that Unique Pavers did last year (below) that we hired them again! They completely transformed our backyard to include two patios surrounding a putting green, a low wall, pathways, and new landscaping with fruit trees and a hedge with drip irrigation. An extensive drainage system included french drains, area drains, and tying the downspouts directly into drains. This was important because water would pool in our backyard after heavy rains. We had high expectations because we knew what Unique Pavers did for our driveway and front yard, and they did not disappoint! Rick has amazing vision when it comes to designing spaces. Dan is a great project manager who was onsite nearly every day and has excellent communication skills. And the hardscape and landscape crews really know how to execute; they worked hard and worked together well. Highly recommended--Unique Pavers did our driveway project in October 2025, and now six months later, I'm still overjoyed every time I walk across our beautiful pavers. This was also the first winter that I didn't have water seeping into our foundation and flooding, all thanks to the drainage work that Unique Pavers did at the same time as repaving. Of all the companies I got quotes from, Chris was the only one to ACTUALLY LISTEN to our vision. He asked questions, and gave valuable feedback to bring our idea to life. We had a great experience with Dan, Rick and Chris redoing our backyard and walkways. As you can see from the before and after pictures below, we started with a pretty gnarly yard that was not pretty or functional and had no patio space at all. The crew at Unique Pavers pulled everything up, put a new lawn down with invisible drains (they work great but you can't see or feel them when you walk on the grass), and laid down a patio and walkway all around our house. The pavers look beautiful and it's totally transformed our backyard, it's actually a space our kids can play in now, and they framed it all with a beautiful retaining wall. Also, and this is important, the guys at Unique Pavers are nice and super easy to deal with. I identified one issue after installation and brought it up with them, and I was bracing myself for some pushback; but they immediately agreed with me and said they would take care of it, and they had the crew our there the next day regrading and totally fixing the issue. We contracted with Unique Pavers to do our backyard remodeling based not on referrals but solely on its perfect 5 star reviews, zero complaints on BBB, licensed, insured, and Diamond Certified. We couldn't be happier with the end result. Early in the year, we found cracks on our backyard raised brick patio. Cracks got bigger and bigger over time. I contracted with Unique Pavers to replace my old cracked worn driveway with pavers or concrete. I also needed the side path of the house(which had a shed sitting on dirt ground) properly redone. They did a great job and come highly recommended. I had 5 bids by multiple different companies(1 paver only and 1 concrete only) and Unique Pavers was very competitive. Worked and discussed the scope of work with Rick and Jhon. While not the cheapest they were very competitive. I made the decision to ditch concrete for the driveway since it would take over a month before I could drive on it and there was a risk of cracks. The price of pavers had also come down significantly. I decided to go with pavers(Belgard Catalina Grana pavers with Durafusion color) for the driveway and use concrete for the side path(since cosmetics and weight of shed would not be an issue.) Scheduling was easy. Rick was easily reachable and responsive via phone(i usually just texted him with questions). Crew came on time. Worked on prep work. An unexpected issue came up during removal of the driveway. While tearing the concrete driveway apart, they broke an unexpected irrigation water line sitting just under the old concrete path. They quickly stopped the leak and contacted a plumber to repair the line. They charged a reasonable fee to dig a trench, while the plumber replaced the broken water line the next day. We only lost water to the house for a few hours while they were patching the original leak. They completed the prep work on the front and back area quickly and efficiently. They moved the side shed without any damage. Placement of the pavers and concrete side path went without a hitch. During the construction work, the crew were polite and professional. I saw John and Rick come back at least once a day to check on the progress of the work. Work was done within 8 working days, a bit faster than the originally quoted 10 days despite the hiccup with the water line. The completed work is perfect. My driveway is curved so the edges needed to placed perfectly and the paver curved cuts were done very well. The polymeric sand, color and edge work are beautiful. The side concrete path turned out very well. Nice and clean work. It's been over 1 month since completion and I've only noticed a few hairline cracks(expected for any concrete work) in 3 spots. Unique Pavers exceeded our expectations and that is saying a lot, because my husband is extremely picky. I would encourage everyone to include Unique Pavers as one of the companies you call for an estimate. We got burned last year on another paver project we did, so we really wanted to make sure we didn't make another mistake with our new project. We had planned to get at least five estimates this time around and Unique Pavers was the second company we called after we received our first estimate. John came out and we explained to him our vision which was basically in our head (and I don't even think my husband and I were in synch with our visions). We were not working with any professional designer, so we had no plans or design we were working from. John was patient as we worked though what we thought we wanted, took the measurements, used a drone to take pictures of the backyard and said they would get back to us shortly with an estimate. Rick sent us the estimate and then contacted us to set up a time to come over to the house and go over the estimate with us. Estimate - the estimate was beautiful! Everything was broken out so you could easily see the cost of all aspects of your project. It helped us decide which parts of the project we really wanted and eliminate the parts of the project we really didn't need. The estimate was in line with the first estimate we received from another company, but we had to go back and forth with that first company many times to finally get to a number that was in line with the Unique Pavers estimate. I was referred to Unique Pavers from my landscape designer. From the initial consultation I knew that Rick was the man for our project. Rick came prepared with a blow up of our design and was able to speak to every aspect of the project. Our project included having pavers installed in the driveway, replacing a sagging retaining wall to the right of the driveway, leveling the front yard by installing a retaining wall, and replacing the lawn (dirt) with mulch and cobble stone.
