We also decided at the last minute to add a retaining wall. Manuel was our go-to person throughout the entire process. He was incredibly patient and accommodating, answering all of our questions quickly via text and email. He really understood our vision and made sure every requirement and price quote was accurately reflected in the contract. His crew was led by Jose, who did a thorough and beautiful job installing the pavers, retaining wall, lighting, and drip lines. Though a minor language barrier caused a few quick miscommunications, Manuel was on-site almost every day of the 1.5-week project to keep everything running smoothly. We are so excited to start adding plants and accessories to our gorgeous new yard! We highly recommend Black Diamond. (Note: We chose Belgard Quarry Sandstone for a rugged, multi-color paver look, and Belgard Catalina Grana in cinder block gray for the retaining wall.)

He worked through my ideas, helped me land on a finalized plan, and even created a rendering that made everything click for me. He then walked me through different options to keep the project within my budget, and we landed on a plan we were both happy with after a great back-and-forth. The execution was flawless. Mario, the head landscaper, and his crew finished the entire project in just 10 days, while every other quote I'd received estimated three to four weeks. The quality of work was excellent, and the team was incredibly professional, arriving at 8 a.m. and working until 6 p.m. every day, with materials always on time and no surprise changes to price or scope. Gasim himself showed up every single day, taking photos and helping the crew course-correct whenever needed. It was clear he genuinely cared about his team too, making sure they were comfortable and taken care of throughout the project. I'm thrilled with how the backyard turned out, and I've gotten so many compliments on it. That's a direct result of the trust Gasim built with us. I'll absolutely be calling them for future projects.

Their unlimited revisions were a huge advantage for someone like me who loves diving deep into design details. Achva's design instincts are spot on -- her guidance on the louvre placement and overall layout truly elevated the space. They also suggested furniture pieces and styling ideas, which helped me make great choices when I did my own shopping. Their recommended contractors were excellent, but the pricing was higher than I expected. To stay within budget, I decided to manage the entire project myself with separate contractors. The final design had replaced the custom fountain with a more budget-friendly option, but on request they were kind enough to share the original custom fountain design, which I built with my contractor at a much lower price. The whole project was very time consuming and hard work, but it saved a lot of cost, and the result was incredibly rewarding. Due to some misunderstandings, we decided to part ways amicable, so they couldn't continue with the front/side yard phase -- but they still provided the initial concepts that I can use in the future. Overall, Vision to Completion delivered a thoughtful, contemporary design that became the blueprint for a transformation I'm truly proud of. Highly recommended for anyone who wants creative, flexible, and detail oriented landscape designers. I have attached a few images of their initial concept and the final backyard images to show the transformation!

What really stood out was the attention to detail--everything was done carefully and correctly, rather than simply getting the job done. The finished project looks fantastic and has completely transformed our backyard. Southbay Design and Landscaping did a world-class job, and we would hire them again without hesitation. If you're considering a landscape project, I would strongly recommend talking to Southbay. Their quality of work, professionalism, and execution are exceptional.

Our new backyard is gorgeous, and the details of our experience tell the story. We worked closely with Danny, the on-site supervisor, who is a top-notch professional. He knows his plants and hardscape, pays attention to every detail, and manages his crew with great efficiency. The crew worked as hard as any I've ever seen, and they did everything--digging out enormous tree roots, setting flagstone for our patio, installing irrigation and lighting, moving boulders--you name it. They showed up every day and even worked several Saturdays to get the job finished on time and before we had to travel. These guys were terrific, and I can't thank them enough for the tremendous effort they put into both the demolition and the complete recreation of our backyard. Marcus, the office manager, was also great to work with. He took us out to select our patio stone, river rock, and boulders, and was patient and generous with his time as we made decisions throughout the project. If you need a concern or question answered quickly, call the office: they respond right away! As we watched the project progress over the weeks, my husband and I often commented to each other on the quality of the work and the care being taken with every part of the job. We are grateful to every one of the men who worked in our yard and deeply appreciate their hard work, skill, and professionalism. I recommend SouthBay Landscape and Design enthusiastically and without reservation. They do top-quality work, and they were a pleasure to have at our home. One additional note: we also used the landscape designer they recommended, Dawn, and she was excellent. We are thrilled with the beautiful backyard they all helped create.

We ended up taking a 30 minute video chat with him, and Matt was super helpful in explaining various options. Despite the early hiccups, we got the sense that Matt is a genuine guy who is more interested in doing the right thing rather than making quick buck. You never tell someone that's paying you $500 dollars to take your time and do a professional job to go inside. I should have told him to get the F off of my property and hired someone else. I would have been better off hiring men from Home Depot. Totally unprofessional, rushed the job, ruined a couple of plants and didn't give a shit how it looked, even after I showed the owner the damaged plants and all the broken branches only to find more as the branches dried out in the weeks to come. He tells me the plants are delicate, but yet they didn't treat them that way. I will never hire this unprofessional company again and recommend that you don't hire them either. They have plenty of help to do a good job, but refuse to do so. This was a total rip off job to the tune of $500. In the front, we replaced the concrete driveway with pavers, added a grass lawn, and included a decorative planting area. Along the side and in the backyard, we replaced all the concrete with pavers, added more grass, and created another mulched planting area for low-maintenance landscaping. Since it was such a big project, we spent a lot of time in the design phase to make sure we'd be happy with the long-term results. Alex was very patient and flexible with us throughout the process.
