One of the things I didn't know about Dover until I moved here was that it gets VERY windy. Windy…read moreto the point that a 40 mph gust SLAMMED my door wide open as I was getting out. I was unable to close my driver door properly afterwards, and I had to push it slightly down in order for it to fully shut (at least it sealed shut when I closed it). I went to a shop who said that my door hinge was broken, and tried to weasel me, telling me it would cost $125 per hinge + labor (even though they are about $45 each at the Subaru dealership). After more frustrating inquiries, one of the shops that didn't do bodywork referred us to Domino's. My husband spoke with (I think) the daughter of the owner at Domino's, He told me he had a good vibe from them and felt they wouldn't screw us over. Domino's was able to fit me in later that day for an estimate, and they were even willing to cut their lunch break short so I could go during my lunch break. Within 30 seconds of my arrival, I was introduced to the co-owner Walt. As we walked over to my car, I explained to him my story about the wind and how I thought the car door hinges need to be replaced, etc. He asked me to unlock the car. He opened up my driver door, inspected the door frame and door for a few seconds, halfway closed the door so that there was only a little space between the door and the door frame and perused that. He then opened up the door wider as if to get into my vehicle, grabbed my door with both his hands, and SHOVED the door upwards HARD with one quick swoop. He then coolly looked at me and closed the door behind him without batting an eye, and it closed PERFECTLY. He didn't even need to double-check his work; he was that confident that it was going to shut properly. This door was fixed in a matter of 20 seconds. I was floored, and said, "No way," or something to that effect. Walt had me do it myself, and sure enough my door was back to its pre-gust-of-wind- form, closing and re-closing without a hitch. Walt explained to me that the metal on the door hinges are strong, but they are slightly malleable and can change their shape if strong forces like gusts of wind knock them off balance. But Walt said that oftentimes you can bend the hinges back to their original form without needing to get them or the body frame replaced. Walt shook my hand, and told me, "Come back when you have a real problem." I said, "That's it?" I was expecting that he ask for some compensation, or tip, or something. But he replied, "We're a family-owned shop. Other places might try to hose you, saying you need to get something like your door hinge replaced [uuuhhh, YES I thought], but we don't do stuff like that. When you do have a real car problem, remember that we took care of you." He handed me his card and waved goodbye as he walked back inside. I was in and out of their shop in 5 minutes. My experience with Domino's is a unique experience as a young Asian female going alone to one of these places. After being swindled or trying to be swindled by car dealerships, car repair shops, and car inspection places, I've always had a tough time trying to deal with anyone in the auto-related business. But with Domino's, they truly did just want to do right with me. And I appreciate that a lot. I hope that if anyone needs auto bodywork done, Domino's should be one of the first places to call. Even though I've only had one experience with them, they seem to be good, honest people who refuse to be shady just to make a quick buck.

Quality of work was acceptable but unbelievable wait times, had my car in the lot for months before…read moreeven beginning work. I understand it's hard to get some parts but the worst part was constant excuses. Never an apology or any bit of sympathy that my car was out of commission for 6 months over barely $5k of damage. I give 2 stars because I got my car back fixed and in one piece. I'm sure shortages and long shipping times did have some sort of effect, but I know the shop was to blame as well. Another interesting tidbit is that they don't answer the phones after 2-3pm.
