My experiences with Unique Mindcare have all been quite positive. I came in contact with the folks there almost by accident. My wife had an appointment with Dr. Dorothy Merritt, the UMC medical director and she asked if I would accompany her to the appointment. After the session my wife had with Dr. Merritt, I asked a few questions of the doctor regarding some symptoms I had been experiencing. She made several informal recommendations that made sense.
Those off-the-clock comments by Dr. Merritt may well have saved my life.
Long story short, I had an Esteck 3-D Body Scan performed by UMC. As several of the physical symptoms showed up on the scan that I was aware of, there was one of which I was not aware which led me to having a colonoscopy performed.
I was diagnosed with a severe case of Ulcerative Colitis. From January to March of 2011 I lost 60 pounds in 60 days.
During this period I came to better know the staff at UMC. It was during this time I learned about Nexalin Therapy, and how UMC's president Mark White was collecting empirical data regarding this new technology. I can say from what I've learned regarding UMC's relationship with the technology's creators; there is likely no other clinic in the country with as much knowledge, experience, and data related to Nexalin.
I received Nexalin treatments at UMC for nearly 3 weeks in March and found that my stress levels were reduced a great deal following each session.
Hospitalized for several days in May for anemia and edema associated with my condition, I received blood transfusions to stabilize and assist with my ongoing battle with ulcerative colitis.
Through recommendations I received from UMC's Clinical Director Dr. Nancy White and Mark White, I also began seeing an alternative medicine practitioner who helped me to 'heal my gut '. For about eight weeks I followed this other doctor's regimen of supplements and nutritional recommendations. My weight stabilized and I was able to benefit from the diet I was on.
I then went back to taking the pharmaceuticals that were originally recommended for my condition. Prednisone, a steroid, is one of the drugs I have been taking since May. I've had prior experience with this drug, and know that it is one that can alter one's mood and perspective for the worse. One of my ulcerative colitis 'triggers' is stress.
I honestly feel that one of the long-term benefits of Nexalin Therapy has been a new found ability to deal with stress and anger, that are byproducts of long-term steroid use.
Now, nearly a year after first experiencing symptoms, I have my ulcerative colitis in a remissive state. While my diet is much better than a year ago, I'm finally able to again eat some of the foods I love. I've regained nearly 30 pounds that I lost, and am now again in a physically fit condition.
Without the knowledge, experience, and professionalism of the staff at Unique Mindcare, I might not be capable of writing this review at all-- much less with the positive outcome I've experienced. read more
