I'm going to blow my cover! Okay, yes I get injections. I've been coming to the migraine relief center to see Dr. Mark Khorsandi for a year or now for Dysport injections (it works way better than Botox imo). I've never had to wait past my appointment. Dr. Khorsandi always does a beautiful job making sure I look my best (youngest). I've never had any problems. Dr. Khorsandi has truly worked a miracle performing occipital nerve release surgery and other associated nerve release to treat my wife's severe migraine headaches. Fives month out and the transformation in her life has been amazing! His staff has been wonderful and continues to fight for us with an insurance claim so a big thank you to them as well. read more

My experience is mixed. First, Dr. Khorsandi is a very good doctor and his treatment for my migraines has significantly helped reduce my migraines. We had to pay out of pocket over $1,600 for the first treatment because my insurance is pending approval for Botox treatment. The issues I have are with his staff. The request for insurance approval to use the Botox treatment was supposed​ to be submitted on Oct 12--two weeks ago. I called my insurance and the request was not correctly​ submitted and had been returned to the Dr's​ office. I got my insurance and the Dr's rep (Justine) on a conference call to sort this out. During the call, Justine mentions that that is why I was told that it takes​ thirty days to get approval and that she does have other patients other than me: this is not the way to treat a customer when I have already paid over $1,600 for services. I have had migraine for over 20 yrs. I live in Sanger Tx. With reviews and a phone conference. We drove from Dallas, after seeing at least 3 pain management and 6 neurologist. I was desperate , having migraines 24/7. I was locked in a dark room for a yr. I had diagnostic injection, that confirm I had occipital neuralgia. I had surgery on Friday. O there than incision sight, I have no pain in my eyes, temples and generally all over my head and trapezius muscles. IM THRILLED, I HAVE TRUE HOPE FOR LIVING A NORMAL LIFE!!! I bought a Groupon for Botox. Please do NOT go there. First they have the syringes already filled up in a plastic box; you do not know if they are Botox, or not. Second, they seem not to know what they are doing; the "doctor" does not read the medical sheet where you specify where you want the botox administered. I wanted it on my frown lines and crowfeet and he injected them on my forehead close to my scalp and caused my eye lids to drop big time. When I asked why my frown lines had not diminished a week later, he said because I did not put any botox there, I asked why and he said "because that is not the way I do it. some people do it differently, and that is the way I do it" he said. "If you want your frown lines down, you have to pay extra" he said again. He took my money, did not do what I asked, and caused me to look worse than before botox, DO NOT GO THERE! read more

I started with daily headaches Oct 2017 and after several trips to Mayo, many tests and a lot of prescriptions, I knew there had to be something else that could help. I recently moved to Texas, and suffer from chronic migraines. I was ecstatic when I read about an actual migraine clinic! I went to the Migraine Relief Center hoping for quality care. I needed my next round of Botox injections, and they informed me it would take about 4-6 weeks for a prior authorization from my new insurance. I understand, been through that over the years many times, and I did just get new insurance. However, 2 weeks later I called my insurance and no claim had been filed to get my Botox approved. The insurance company continued to inform me that it takes roughly 72 hours when marked urgent by the physician. This is my daily quality of life, and anyone who suffers knows how important this is. A doctor "specializing in migraines" should be much more professional, and care for their patients. I would not recommend going here for treatment. read more

Your patience when listening to my complaints is very much appreciated and shows you really do care and understand. I have had previous Doctors who have treated my migraines with botox but they didn't show interest in any patient feed back. I talked to Dr K after he did my farther I laws 2nd carp. surgery and found out that he treats migraines. I have had migraines from the age of 7 and I am 34 now. To be honest when I talked to him I thought he was full of it because the way he explained it made it seem so easy to fix and he was able to diagnose in under 10 min just from talking to him. I have seen 5 DRs, 2 neurologists, over 10 MRIs, tons of cat scans, 25 different medications including pain pills, muscle relaxers and beta blockers. My migraines are so bad that I will throw up a few times uncontrollably. I usually get 2-3 a week and get 3-4 a month that will last 3-5 days. I literally was living in hell. After seeing Dr K at his office and he preformed a BLOCK on me, a migraine I was havering going on 3 days was gone with in 2 min. I almost cried because it was the first time I had some one who knew EXACTLY what was wrong and how to fix it. We set up for me to have surgery a few days later at victory hospital. Everything was perfect. I have not had a headache or migraine in over a week. A little pain from surgery but that's to be expected. Sorry for my rambling. I have had migraines for the past 14 years. I have been to many, many doctors in many different states. Due to the fact that my headaches started from a major head injury, all of the neurologists told me my pain would be life long. I would have many migraines every week and my longest migraine lasted 3 months with no moments of relief. I have been on many medications and have had many tests. I would often get to the point where I wasn't sure I could go on living this way. Everything changed when I saw Dr. Khorsandi. From our first meeting, he gave me hope that I could find relief from my headaches. That hope was something I hadn't felt since the migraines started. Recently tried this place out after not being able to get into my usual medspa. The Dr was super nice and professional and actually ended up saving me money but recommending less dysport then what I thought I needed. Prices are pretty comparable to other places. The dysport has already started to settle in nicely. I will definitely be back. One star off for having to wait 25 min past the appt time. read more

Botox for migraines is absolute garbage! I recently had a deviated septum fixed (different doctor) and botox from Dr K. Dr K is a fantastic doctor. HOWEVER, since botox few weeks ago i've had 4 bad migraines. My neurologist, Dr Ninan Mathews, warned me that botox can't cure a disease and he was right. I had botox in the back of my head, neck, temples, face, forehead and it didn't help at all. My neck was still stiff in the mornings and more importantly, I still get migraines. Its been 3 weeks since I received botox treatment and zero has changed. Waste of money! The only thing that works for migraines is dihydroergotamine nasal spray. read more

Dr. Khorsandi is an amazing Dr. and a miracle worker in my eyes! I have had migraines for over 6 years, the last coupleof years they had gotten worse, I was hospitalized and put on every drug you could imagine to treat my migraines and none of them worked. My neurologist was done with me and just basically threw in the towel. When I found Dr. K I had a migraine that I had had for 3 weeks straight with no relief not even a hospital stay brought it under control, I went in and sat and talked with Dr. K he listened to me and didn't rush me at all he asked me questions gave me time to answer. By the time I left his office the migraine I had had for the three weeks was gone and I had a new found hope that I could get my life back. After a few visits with Dr. K we decided on the migraine surgery route and I couldn't be happier, I finally have my life back! Dr. K gave me his cell phone # when I left surgery and also called that night to check on me after surgery to make sure I was doing ok. I can say that I have had surgery before and not one of those Dr.'s ever called to check on me after I didn't speak to them usually until post op. Dr. K is one of those Dr.'s that are rare to find with a great bed side manner and a wonderful attitude toward his patients it is so very hard to find that today in a Dr. they rush you out to get to the next appointment. He truly does care about his patients and wants to help you get your life back and it shows!
