One year he was voted One of the Best Doctors in Texas by Texas Monthly Magazine. Bedside manner = A+ Humor = A+ Empathy = A+ Professionalism = A+ Intelligence = A+ Since he is so good, his normal wait time to see him is about 3 months. He is everything one could desire in a primary care physician. His availability allows for e-mail or text of a medical need, to which he responds, clarifies, and proceeds with sending prescription order or whatever is appropriate. Dr. Becker is actively and directly familiar with medical specialists and their competencies---not merely looking them up in a directory or online. He diagnosed my prostate cancer in 2003, and guided my choice of one of the most competent urologists in the Houston area. That same urologist treated the urologically related elements of my wife's cancer, and, in turn, directed her to one of the most competent gynecological oncologists in Houston. Dr. Becker has also served as primary care physician for one of my sisters and her husband, treating significant complexities with total satisfaction. Then, I realized she is only an answering service, and if I wanted to schedule an appointment, I would have to wait 6 days until someone else returned to the office to call me to get my information (and who knows how long I'd have to wait to be seen after that). If the first person I spoke to is any indicator on how the rest of my experience will go, I will easily move on and find someone else.

I had my PCP here and not once in the year I've been here have I been able to see him. I've only been able to see nurse practitioners and MCA's. In fact, there are 7 MD's here and the wait time to see ANY one of them can be one month to several months. Yes, one to several months to see an MD. That leaves the nurse practitioners and MCA's which, if it comes to getting any controlled prescriptions, forget it. They can't or wont prescribe it and will try an alternative action or scripts. So this is more of a place for senior citizens on routine care who can space out appointments. If you're 65+ and can space out appointments, you may consider this place. Nurse Practitioners and MCA's catch any in b/w needs. If you are like me and need a Doctor once in awhile, do not bother with this place.

I had to have emergency surgery and Dr. Vega was the surgeon on call. I was very fortunate to have…read moreher as my surgeon. She initially met with me and explained to me everything pertaining to the procedure. I was not only stressed about the surgery, but also because I was planning to go on vacation out of the country 4 days after the surgery. Dr. Vega took the time to walk me through the pros and cons of the surgery as well as the probabilities of recovering in time for my family vacation. All I can say is that Dr. Vega did what I thought it was the impossible. My surgery went excellent, and I was able to recover good enough to travel and continue my recovery during my vacation. The day after the surgery, she came to the hospital and made sure all went excellent, and that I was able to start my recovery right away. Also provided advice and answered every single question my wife and I had to make sure I could go on vacation without any problem. Her team was following up with me a day after I was released from the hospital, and was also very friendly and reminded me of the advice provided by Dr. Vega at the hospital. I honestly cannot thank her enough for my wellbeing and for making sure my surgery went excellent. She is not only and excellent surgeon, but also an amazing person. My family and I are very thankful for fixing me up :)
