After getting engaged last year, I began hearing from Josh White of Port Town Collective. He was a friend of a friend, and I had seen his floral work, which is genuinely beautiful. At the time we were planning to have our wedding in Italy, so I did not need his services. Despite that, he continued reaching out and attempting to involve himself between us and our Italian wedding planners. At one point he attempted to discredit my abilities by asking, "do you even speak Italian?" Mind you, I do have conversation Italian skills and he speaks NONE. Eventually we decided not to do the wedding in Italy. When my first choice of wedding planner in Savannah was unavailable, I reached out to Josh and he immediately agreed to take on the event. I had never planned a wedding before and trusted him to guide us through the process. Over a short time, I paid him a total of $170,000 toward planning, vendor deposits, and wedding expenses. Unfortunately, I later discovered that none of our vendor deposits had been paid. He continued to ask for more money and ended every message he sent me before our meetings by saying "bring your checkbook." There were several red flags along the way that I now regret ignoring. Vendors were hesitant to work with him, and in some cases I was only able to secure vendors because of my own personal relationships. At one point he even told me that I was not allowed to communicate directly with my own vendors, which felt extremely inappropriate. One of the most concerning issues was that invitations were sent out before venues had even been finalized or contracts signed. With about 40 days before the wedding, after receiving multiple warnings from experienced professionals in the event industry and realizing how many essential details had not been handled, I made the difficult decision to end our working relationship. Even then, I tried to handle the situation fairly. I offered him $15,000 for the time he had spent, which he agreed to in writing via email. After that agreement, he stopped responding completely, including to legal correspondence. Because of this situation, my fiancé and I were left scrambling to rebuild our wedding plans on an extremely short timeline. Thankfully, many incredible professionals in the Savannah wedding and event industry stepped in to help us salvage our wedding with only a few weeks remaining. I am deeply grateful to them. I want to be fair in saying that Josh does have creative talent and a good eye for design, particularly when it comes to florals. However, based on our experience, he did not demonstrate the organization, professionalism, or financial transparency necessary to plan and manage a large event. I sincerely regret trusting him with such an important moment in our lives, and I hope sharing this experience helps other couples ask the right questions and protect themselves when choosing a planner.

Except for a few glitches in communication over the weeks leading up to the big event everything went perfectly. We had our Wedding in Forsyth Park and Everything was handled for us so that we could get married with our small party of friends and family without tourists walking down the "aisle" with us. If you are looking for someone to provide your package wedding from beginning to end you could certainly do a lot worse than Gazebo Weddings. Absolutely recommended. Update: I am forced to remove one star after discovering that we were being charged an additional amount of money regarding the carriage ride that Gazebo Weddings scheduled for us. Because of 15 minutes of time, we are having to pay for an additional hour of the carriage ride. We have agreed to split the cost of this hour with Gazebo Weddings, but I feel that it should be the responsibility of this business to negotiate with the other company (or absorb the cost) especially considering I wasn't notified of the overage until the NEXT day.

Cyndy was also our photographer and videographer, while Rudy was the officiant. I can't imagine having to coordinate everything that they did while not being a resident of Savannah. All of the communication before the wedding was through Cyndy, and she is just as sweet in person as she was over the phone. I would also like to give props to Cyndy for working extra hard to process our photos quicker than she usually does so that we could have them available for the reception that we had at home. The photos are all so beautiful, and I have received many compliments on them from friends and family.

I was looking for someone who was familiar with the space, but we were so thrilled that we got so much more than that! I really appreciated Trinity taking the time to hear what my expectations and requests were before establishing her role as our coordinator. She was as available as she needed to be while also giving us space to make our own decisions without pressure. One of the last minute decisions was the music for the reception and unfortunately, I was lost. I explained my issue to Trinity and she delivered! Not only did she get us out of a bind, but she recommended the best band! They were a hit and everyone loved them! Other qualities of Trinity that I appreciated were her calm attitude as well as her exceptional organization skills. She was able to keep everything running smoothly and under control on our big day. She made me feel extremely comfortable by handling everything on so I didn't have to stress. I have already recommended Trinity to my friends for their weddings, and will continue to spread the word in the future. Thanks Trinity and Occasional Celebrations for helping make our day so special!

We knew we had to check them out. What sealed the deal for us was that they are not only work friends, but personal friends with the photographer we already booked (Dream Weaver Photos). We knew it would be important to book vendors that worked well together, so a husband and wife team who are friends with the photographer just made sense. We went into the meetings with Jeff and Cindy already with the expectation of hiring them both. While typically day of coordinators don't really help with booking other vendors, Cindy was able to offer her professional insights on hair and make up, florals, and even hotel blocks. She was responsive to every email for a full year before our wedding, and we had a thorough sit down meeting a month before the wedding. The week of, there were many frantic calls and texts to Cindy with things that seemed to be the end of the world to me, the bride, but were minor details in her eyes. At least that's how she made me feel while she calmed me down. The day before the wedding, we had an emergency and most of my family missed our rehearsal. She continued with the rehearsal with who was there, and the day of found those missing family members and talked to them about what they needed to do. Melanie came as her assistant. They were on time and had everything set up in what felt like a few minutes. They kept everything on track and kept all problems away from me. The day was perfect. I kept waiting for something to go wrong, but nothing did! I actually did not even know our guest's trolley drove to the wrong location and only picked up at one of our two hotels until the guests told us the next day. Funny now, but would not have been funny the day of. Thank you to Cindy for keeping that, and who knows what else, away from me all day! I could go on about Cindy but let's get to Jeff. My husband had a very specific entrance he requested Jeff to do, and Jeff couldn't have been better at it. He had our timeline in correct order, made the announcements we asked, and even requests we made the morning of the wedding were fulfilled. He only played music we asked him to, and did not play anything on our do not play list. The dancefloor was PACKED the whole night. Not a single person was in their chair, and hardly anyone left early. Even the grandparents were out of their seats! It was the true party we were looking for and a week later, the guests are still telling us how much fun they had with the music. I am truly impressed by how well our wedding went, thanks to Cindy and Jeff. If you have not hired this duo yet, what are you waiting for?!
