We decided we needed to foster a bluebird family this spring, so we went in search of a "bluebird…read morehouse". We knew that Grayco would have them but wanted to see what Lady's Island Feed & Seed was like. So, we Took our trash and recyclables out to the convenience center (dump) and stopped at LIFS on our return trip up Sea Is. Parkway. The place is huge inside with not too much stuff cluttering the shelves. I asked the gentleman behind the counter if he had official bluebird houses. To my surprise, They had a couple on a shelf in a side room. (One was broken). I decided to buy the one that was not broken and asked a few question about how to properly set it up. This guy was no help at all. If he couldn't answer with "yep" of "nope", he wasn't talking. I ended up on the internet doing my own research. Then finally ended up at Grayco where they had all the accessories (a mounting pole and a squirrel baffler) I needed to finish the job.

To be honest, I wasn't going to hire a florist for my wedding. I was going to make the centerpieces…read moremyself and hire somebody to make the bouquets. I spent weeks gathering supplies. About a month before my wedding, the simple logistics of setting up the flowers while getting ready for my own wedding started to set in, and I changed my mind. Finding Kim was such a saving grace for me. Not only was she totally willing to take on the challenge of my wedding only a few weeks away, she understood what I was trying to do on my own and set out to do it for me. She gathered the supplies I had already collected to incorporate them into her own designs. This meant so much to me, because I didn't feel like I had wasted my time. Kim immediately understood what I wanted, and when I didn't know what I wanted, she was wonderful and providing examples and helping me decide. She kept communicating with me, and was patient when it took me forever to reply or sign something because my life was a whirlwind. The flowers turned out amazing, the candles and glass work perfect. But Kim did more than just the flowers for me. The venue had some hiccups in setting up my wedding, and Kim, onsite to set up the flowers, really took charge to make sure that things were perfect. This was above and beyond what she had been hired to do. I know, with certainty, that the reason my wedding was perfect is because Kim was there. For that, I can't thank her enough, I can't recommend her enough. My advice for working with Kim: Trust her. She's a true artist.
