I had been a customer for years... FAR too often did my "top of the line" e cig break, malfunction, stop taking charge and/or some other electrical issue.. I normally blamed myself, chance or bad luck an gave up trying trying to quit cigarettes. The end of April I bought a new one, well over a $100 for it again and the e cig juice I needed.. I told the saleswoman that all I cared about was durability, that if spent quite literally thousands on my account there since they had opened, when she pulled up my account she was taken aback when saw how many times I've had to completely replace and buy new e ccigarettes, she the sold me a strong, Reliable, expensive ecig along with all bells and whistles I was told I needed. Well over $100 once again.. within 3weeks everytime I tried to take a drag off it it smoked like it was on fire.. so frustrated I said to hell with it an went back to cigarettes.. in August someone in my household had a serious health scare.. she made it.. that night her and I both officially quit smoking for good. At that point I recalled the expensive e cig I had purchased a few months back in April. I came back again to unique and showed the same saleswoman the issue. I then purchased whatever parts, coils, atomizers or whatever she said I needed to just make it work again, I told her I didn't mind just getting a new one if it would be more cost efficient, she said i would savea little money just repairing and replacing and it was a top of the line e cig and be a shame to just replace it. 3 weeks later, when I put the charger in, it read it as though I was trying to turn the wattage up, some electrical problem. The e cig was dead and no matter what I tried it wouldn't read the charger and charge. I called and spoke with the same saleswoman who said "that's weird, well bring it and and if I can mimic it, I'll replace it." I was very happy with that response. When I arrived she immediately mimicked it, yet then said she wouldn't replace it because I didn't have the receipt.. she then pulled up my account and found my receipt but said she still couldn't because I didn't being in the box it came with.. when I told her I have it and only live 5min away, I'll go get it, she said even with the box she still wouldn't replace it, now because the warranty was up from April, it now being September. Besides the thousands I've spent over the years an the fact that it was only a couple days past 6months, when I came in 3 weeks ago I replaced everything, if I ever would've thought there would be a catastrophic electrical problem a couple weeks later I would've spent the couple extra bucks and bought a brand new one. I just didn't think after replacing everything and having it breakdown the warranty would still be void, esp when we're talking about a loyal customer for years, spent countless money countless times, just replaced everything instead of spending the extra 20% for a brand new one, with a new warranty (on Her recommendation nonetheless and was never told the warranty would still run out same as though everything wasn't replaced brand new) Beyond that, she was rude, unhelpful, glib and all around unpleasant. I was calm yet stated for someone whose been as consistent a customer in a business that doesn't normally have repeat customers to be treated in this manner, an to have me leave here with such a bad taste is just bad business.. she then raised her voice and said "I'm Trying to HELP you, SIR!!" Taken aback I responded " I'm not trying to be rude, but I just want to understand what you mean, how is it that you are trying to help me?" She then again said I didn't have the box, an she needed the box for the exchange..smh.. I then again said "I don't understand why you keep bringing up this box?" If I go get the box right now will you do the exchange?" She said no again to which brings us back to how are you trying to help short of being unfriendly? She said well I could call ny manager.. but I'm sure he'll just explain to you exactly what i already explained, maybe if he explains it to you you'll understand." Offended a speechless I said it's just bad business to treat people in such a way when there is so much competition and bid her a good day. . Apologies for the length.. had to get it all out, this was as much therapeutic for me as a warning to all others.. I swear by every aspect I've stated In this review . The guys at the Oswego road one were good to me the couple times I went there.. the one in Cicero on route 31 and route 11, that has never been as smooth, between the person not knowing her job i.e. how to properly cash someone out, how to run their card, lack of knowledge on how the ecigs worked. Or the saleswoman I mentioned above.. for what it would've taken for them to honor a customer's warranty from april, besides all of the above stated mitigating factors or loyalty of said customer over the years, it's just bad business, an that kind of mentality and attitude starts at the top read more
