A Treasure in the Suburbs…read more I believe that we should take advantage of the rich resources where we live - and because Boston is known for its fine culture, outstanding universities, state of the art medical facilities and innovative dental procedures, I have always opted for doctors and dentists (and shopping excursions!) in the city. That changed when a Boston dentist referred me to Dr. Mario Gatti. I learned the hard way that a general dentist is not the one to go for a crown or implants because it is not something he does all day and does not have the extra training needed to become Board Certified. I was also told that Dr. Gatti specialized in implants as well so I decided to give it a shot. I called Dr. Gatti, at his office in Natick, Chang Dental Group and scheduled an appointment. From the moment I met Dr. Gatti, he made me feel extremely comfortable as he patiently listened to my complex dental history. He thoroughly discussed the various options he felt were appropriate and after much time and consideration, he suggested that I should go home and think about the options he had presented to me and he would put together a treatment plan that he felt would best meet my needs. He allowed me to take a deep breath and never put any pressure on me to make a decision. He also gave me his cell phone number and told me to get in touch with him at any time if I had additional questions or concerns as there was much information to digest. This in and of itself spoke volumes about his integrity and concern. I had brought my daughter with me as a second set of ears and he welcomed her questions and concerns. His professional demeanor was quite impressive as were the credentials on his wall. Board Certified Prosthodontist, Oral Surgeon, and Implant Specialist all wrapped up in one, plus the convenience of being in the suburbs and not having to drive back and forth to Boston gave me a lot to think about. We scheduled another appointment and I did take him up on his offer to address any concerns before that appointment. I can tell you that Dr. Gatti has a brilliant mind, hands of gold and a compassionate heart. His gentle technique and expertise in prosthodontics, surgical procedures and implants are second to none! His assistant, Pam, is an added bonus! I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Gatti and am so thrilled that I found him!

My mouth now feels like it once did. Dr. Hanna recommended a few other procedures, some cosmetic, some medical and I could not be happier with the outcome. It took a couple of years to complete but was worth the wait. Now that the masks are off I get quite a few compliments. First, he is very concerned about patient comfort, and I have never experienced any painful dentistry with him (although I have literally been in agony and tears with other dentists). He always ensures the area is completely numb, and constantly checks to ensure that as he works, I am completely comfortable. His caring manner, professional demeanor, and expert skills always put me at ease. I actually look forward to going to the dentist because of him! Once I had an abscess that needed immediate attention, as I was due to fly overseas in 3 days. He and his staff invited me into the office the same day, he completely skipped lunch to work on me, and he arranged with another dentist in the office to do additional work that I needed (as David Moheban had other patients scheduled). They fixed the problem so that I could make my international trip, and upon my return have a root canal and crown. Even when the second dentist was working in me, David Moheban stopped in to see me between his other patients. He has done many, many fillings for me, including new multi-surface fillings and replaced old metal fillings with composite, restoring the integrity of my fillings. He has made my smile much more attractive since the old metal fillings could be seen. I now can smile with confidence, as all the dark metal is gone, replaced with perfectly matching composite fillings. I broke an incisor, chipping off the front bottom corner of the tooth completely, and he saw me immediately and used composite to rebuild the broken part of the tooth. His work is so precise and such a perfect match in color and shape that no one can tell I broke that tooth. He has been able to reconstruct some teeth for me via multi-surface fillings, whereas another dentist might just go the easier and much more expensive (for me) route of insisting on a crown. This saved me hundreds of dollars, and all my repaired teeth, even 9 years later, look and function perfectly. Every single piece of work he has done has withstood the test of time, as well as the occasional weak moment I've had of biting down on Everlasting Gobstoppers :-) I regularly get compliments on my smile, and its attractiveness is definitely due to Dr. David Moheban's work. David Moheban is constantly educating himself on new technologies and techniques, and works to improve dental care not just with straight dental work on one's teeth, but also implementing new innovations such as digital X-rays and promoting file systems that share patient records and X-rays among multiple offices. Dr David Moheban is the epitome of caring, patient-centered, and constantly improving dental care. I urge you to ask for him by name, as there is no other dentist I have ever met that has done such amazing work while keeping my comfort, my satisfaction with my smile, and even my pocketbook in mind!

Dr. Ali, Dr. Beheshti, and the hygienist team are professional, attentive, and skilled. Although the clinical care was excellent, a long billing dispute began in July 2024 when my insurer identified a processing error that billed my services as out-of-network rather than in-network. For seven months, Wellesley Dental repeatedly reported they were waiting for insurance paperwork to process my refund. My insurer sent seven letters and one fax to Wellesley Dental; I made six calls, sent seven emails, mailed a detailed four page letter, and participated in one three way call to resolve the issue. Despite our efforts, my refund was never processed. In February 2025, I escalated the matter to the state attorney general and local media. NBC 10 decided to investigate my dispute and contacted 42 North Dental (the parent company), and a refund check for $373.50 was issued on 2/27/2025. A few days after receiving the refund, a call with the regional manager provided a full apology and an explanation: mailed insurance correspondence went to an unstaffed payments PO box; staff failed to take ownership; and operational challenges across multiple locations caused systemic failures. The regional manager said the case was escalated and would be used for staff training. The story aired on NBC 10 Boston on March 19, 2025; search "NBC 10 Charged out-of-network rates for an in-network provider." Although I received my refund, this was a stressful and avoidable ordeal.
