I'm a working student and I try to be as frugal as I can to save money for rent and school, so I when i started researching cleaning services Nikki had the best bang for your buck rates! All the big companies overcharge for their services so I was looking for something more affordable, but not have a random unlicensed stranger into my house. I'm not a person to hire cleaners but with all the unpacking and work I didn't have much time to clean. She was able to come to the house I moved out of on short notice and worked after her usual hours to get the job done. Most cleaning services stop after 5, but since I need the cleaning to be done asap she was very accommodating and squeezed me into her busy schedule. When I moved to my new rental house I had her come clean the place since the landlord didn't really clean anything and there was a lot of build up of grime, oil, and mildew in the kitchen and bathroom. I'm a pretty neat freak when it comes to the bathroom and kitchen since I'm usually at one place or the other when I'm at home :) so I need it to be spotless. Nikki came with a crew of 3 to clean the things I requested which is just dust the blinds, clean the floors, and deep clean the kitchen and bathroom. They went above and beyond just dusting the blinds, they actually removed it and took it outside to hose off since they were the cheap plastic blinds and had them looking brand new! Nikki is very prompt, professional, polite, reliable, and the best of all affordable! I have had the exact same experience a previous review (Asawari).... That must say a whole lot about the service they provide (or lack there of). I have used them a few times and they have never been on time for an appointment and this LAST time they "texted" me 30 mins before saying they were canceling today's apt due to coworkers family Emg... I understand things happen sometimes but it is important as a business owner that you provide other options for emergent situations. And most importantly... Not notify them 30mins before. Also, they have never cleaned my window sill or dusted my blinds and I kindly reminded them and there response was "oh... We don't do that" I will not be using them in the future. I compared quotes with different places and I couldn't say no to the deal that Nikki was offering for a move-in package. The service was phenomenal. I have nothing than only positive things to say about Unique Cleaning Services, the owner, Nikki, as well as her team are dependable, flexible, trustworthy, and great detailed cleaners. I am using their services now for over almost two years for business as well as domestic. They are a great part of the positive feedback we are getting on our vacation cottage. It is not an easy job to clean vacation rentals, you never know what the state of the home is when guests leave. However, in general our guests are in super compliance, but no matter what, everything needs to be touched (cleaned). They have to clean within an x amount of hours. This review is not for services provided by Nikki because unfortunately, I never got a chance to use Nikki's services. I emailed Nikki on a Thursday to inquire about her home cleaning. When I did not hear back from her on Monday, I thought that maybe my email did not go through. So I called her toll-free number and got her voicemail. I left her a message and later that same day, Nikki called me back. I told her that I was looking for a new house cleaning team because my current one couldn't accommodate my weekly schedule. Nikki assured me that she could do the weekly service as requested. However, she said in order for her to give me accurate pricing, she needed to see my house in person, which to me, showed that she was a good person because she wanted to quote a fair price. She said that she could stop by the next day (Tuesday) after work to do a walk-through; so we set the appointment time for 6PM on Tuesday. Around 4PM on Tuesday, I texted Nikki to confirm that I will be home at 6PM and that she could stop by anytime. She texted me back saying that she will let me know if she could still make it because she was running behind on her schedule. I then responded that it was no problem and asked whether or not she still wanted to stop by later that night or if she preferred to do it another day. I never heard back from Nikki. One week came and went and I still did not hear back from her. Maybe Nikki has gotten so busy that it's difficult to accommodate new customers. I completely understand this but I wish she could have told me so when we first spoke on the phone. Had I not texted Nikki that Tuesday, she would not have let me known that she couldn't meet me that night. I am disappointed because her reviews are so stellar and as difficult as it is to find a good cleaning crew, I was hoping that Nikki would be the one. My husband and I have been using Nikki and Unique Cleaning Services since February. We have a vacation rental that requires multiple cleanings a month (almost once a week), so the schedule can be a bit hectic. You wouldn't know it working with Nikki and her team. They are extremely accommodating and have proven to be the best when it comes to being detailed and professional. Not to mention, we have a checklist of 150 items, some of which are very unique to our home, that Nikki personally checks off item by item before leaving the home. I have used Unique Cleaning for 3-4 times so far. Our experience with her first couple of appointments was quite good. She showed up little late but did a good job cleaning. Last time she cancelled the appointment few hours in advance because of some emergency situation. She offered to reschedule but that did not work for us. I gave her another chance this time thinking last time's cancellation was genuine. I had a scheduled appointment (3 weeks in advance) for today morning. Nikki said she will be here at 9:30am. I told her that I am having a party this weekend and I must get my house ready. If she cannot make it, please give me notice in advance. Well, it is almost 11:30am and she hasn't showed up, no phone call, no email. I tried calling her at least 5 times already. left her voicemails. No Response yet! Now I am screwed because I will have to find another cleaning service today or clean everything myself. I am definitely not going to use her again.. Nikki, if you want to stay in the business, you got to learn to keep your appointments and respect our time. Our time is important too.. We have unfortunately used this service against our better judgement several times since their initial cleaning appointment. For starters, the first time they were scheduled to do a move out clean for us, they were almost an hour late and told us they were having car problems. That would have been ok if I hadn't' had to be the one to track them down to see what was going on. No courtesy call but rather an email telling us they were running late, etc. Really? An email? OK. They arrived, very apologetic and did a good job. I thought ok, I'll cut them some slack since they cleaned good. Scheduled them again about a month later for a cleaning and guess what...once again they ran waaaaay late without any courtesy contact. I finally told Nikki that our time was important too and that they need to at least pick up a phone and let us know when they're running behind (which is every time so far) instead of sending emails that we may not read in time. Scheduled them a 3rd time and low and behold they were only 15 minutes late this time which was a huge improvement. Cleaning was good and I thought they may be getting their act together. Finally, scheduled a 4th cleaning and even got a call the day before to confirm our appointment. Nikki asked if we wanted to move into a earlier spot that had a cancellation. We had other obligations that morning and told her thanks but we needed to stick with our original appointment time. That next day, after my wife and I joked about what time they might show up this time, we got an email, NOT A PHONE CALL, an hour and a half before the scheduled time stating that they had an incident with one of their cleaning girls and had to cancel our appointment. Nothing about rescheduling at a later time. No phone call Just "we're sorry we can't make the appointment" Needless to say, we will NEVER be using them again and I can only hope that anyone who reads this does not make the same mistake we did. Well like someone before me, this isn't even about their services because I couldn't get that far. I was trying to contact Nikki to get my house cleaned - I filled out their online contact form on their website (which claims you can get ahold of them 24/7...ya right) and after waiting a good week, heard nothing back. Then I called the number on the website and while she didn't pick up, her message says you'll get a quicker response if you text. So then I tried texting. Nothing. I got one phone call back several hours later that of course I missed - I guess that was my only golden opportunity - there was no message left, no text. Just the missed call. I called her back within five minutes of missing her call and again, she didn't pick up. I left a voicemail this time telling her what I was looking for and asking her to call me back and after 3 days of no response, I'm looking somewhere else. I guess they don't need business. read more
