We have had car trouble with a vehicle we recently purchased over the last few months. The defect in the car is not currently covered by warranty. There is currently a lawsuit against the manufacturer for the defect, but we've had to bear the expense for now and hope ours doesn't have the issue outlined in the suit or be accepted as one of the many plaintiffs on the case. Tim and the rest of the Panos team have been super kind to us, helped us borrow a loaner vehicle to keep our small business running when we desperately needed it, and been more than fair in their dealings with us in a way that I don't many other mechanic shops would... certainly not dealerships nor the majority of larger shops! This group is truly honest, fair and exceptional in what they do! I can't recommend them enough to anyone seeking great service with a business they can trust.

After a family member left an honest, critical 1-star review regarding a pricing dispute at the counter, the owner retaliated by using their internal customer database to publicly post our family's last name, our exact vehicle year/make/model, and our vehicle's mileage. Exposing proprietary data online to punish a customer for an unfavorable rating directly violates Google's Maps User Content Policies against personal data disclosure. Furthermore, while the corporate Mr. Transmission Privacy Policy notes that individual locations handle local transactions, corporate explicitly states they can penalize franchisees who engage in "inappropriate online conduct". Forcing a customer to choose between protecting their personal information and leaving honest feedback is highly unprofessional. Consumers should be warned: if you bring your car here and choose to share your experience online, management may expose your private information to the public to save face.

I am so disappointed. In all my years of living in Birmingham this is the worst car repair…read moreexperience I have had. These guys are the full price specialists. Watch out the service manager really run up a repair. The owner was unsympathetic and acted like he had better things to do than listen to my concerns. I needed my truck fixed. Their initial quote was higher than another by $140. They have a great looking building on the outside and I assumed I was paying for top notch work. They assured the truck's return later that afternoon, knowing I needed the vehicle for work. They called back and suggested a radiator on top of the requested water pump. They said it would be cheaper to do both. My radiator was working fine, but it was older and I should replace it now. Next, they acted like it was a real challenge for them to fix my vehicle. They had a hard time locating a GM radiator and then kept it through the weekend and again all day Monday. They literally charged me 3 times what it would be from a wholesaler. For a common Chevy radiator, they acted like they did me a favor finding one for $500. I went to them looking for my new repair shop. I feel like they took advantage of me being in a hurry to get it fixed and they lost a potential solid customer. Oddly, they told me my temperature gauge was broken when I went to pick it up. I had already told them to allow the motor to warm up properly. Apparently they didn't bother, the gauge works just fine, but they wouldn't put the time in to really check. Next they accused me of trying to get the gauge fixed for free by lying that it worked when I brought it in. I was flabbergasted, I had to pay a premium price for their late repair, then I got called a liar because they wouldn't even bother warm up the motor on a new radiator installation. I bet they are good mechanics, when they want to be, but they mishandled my repair, wasted my time, and then demanded top dollar after admitting they had no idea how to get my gauge working. They repeatedly told me the diagnostic machine didn't give them an answer so they couldn't fix it. The owner basically called me a liar when actually they were not very thorough with their assessment. Who tells a client you broke his gauge, can't fix it, call him dishonest and then still be wrong about the gauge even being broke? They have lousy people skills and I can only assume they are lazy mechanics. They still have no idea that my temperature gauge works and they just let me leave upset. They offered me no compromise of any kind.
