Came here for dinner with my son and the service was excellent and the food was good. My tomato soup was delicious it tasted fresh and homemade, the grilled cheese dippers were just OK not a lot of flavor from the cheese. The pretzel bites were really good but the cheese had congealed on the top. My son really liked his pesto chicken sandwich so over all it was a good meal. I would like to come back when I'm much more hungry cause they looked like they had some really good dinner options. The desserts looked delicious but we were too full to try them. We have a least 3 more years of school here so I'm sure we will be back. The cocktails definitely looked like something I have to come back to try alone. read more

LOVE THE SERVICE!! our waiter was dinesh was the best server I've ever had EVER, he brought drinks/food/etc all at perfect times and waited perfect times in between to check on us for refills or ordering other things. The food came out again at PERFECT timing. Also Juana made sure our table was free of any plates not needed and was so pleasent and again the best. Stopped by Union while brewery hopping in Fort Collins with friends. We were walking by and the patio caught our eye - such a cool space! The union is stunningly appointed- love the retro decor, and the patio was beautiful with fire pits to keep everyone warm outdoors. We didn't try many items, but based on what we did have, I told my husband I would drive all the way from Denver just to eat here. The bananas froster was SO GOOD- heavy on the spiced rum, super flavorful and sweet. The banana chips decorating the top had a touch of cinnamon on them that just took the whole drink over the top. Yum yum yummy! Had the Madame and it was DELICIOUS! I didn't want to do it (looks like way too much food for one) but I just had to do so, the party in my mouth was just too good! This was our favorite go to place from opening day until 5/16/25...especially thru summer time...until the menu change! They got rid of a wildly good happy hour menu of food and drinks! Good discounts and great appetizers. Now happy hour happens only at the bar area...and who knows what's on that. All prices have shot up to nothing under $20 including my Cobb salad! Came here based on great reviews and the cute setting/patio. I ordered the monte cristo, and my wife ordered the chicken pot pie. The monte cristo was HUGE, like an insanely large portion, and it was almost inedible. There was a ridiculous amount of cheese on it, and it was so greasy that there was a pool of oil on the plate and the fried part became a soggy, mushy mess. My wife's chicken pot pie was decent, but nothing to write home about. We both ordered waters. With two entrees and nothing else, it was almost $50 after tip, which is ridiculous for a half-edible meal. Don't recommend and will not be returning. read more

Nice, big establishment with a yummy variety of American fare. Went here after my sister's graduation and food took over nearly an hour to arrive, which left us feeling ravenous when the food finally hit the table. I had the fried chicken sando and it was okay; the bun wasn't toasted and didn't do much for the overall flavor; the chicken was actually tasty and had a dusting of Nashville spice, but I wasn't able to even pick up my sandwich due to the size and messy setup. My sisters patty melt looked tasty too, but she found a gray hair in her sauce (shoutout the manager who took it off our bill). We both decided that we were in the mood for American food and this came up as a top 10 choice. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a bar area. The building itself was very clean and modern. My only complaint is, as we aren't locals, parking was not easy to find. As far as the food....whoa!!! Well, the Monte Cristo was...WHOA!! We both ordered it and it is one of the best I've ever had. The cheeses complimented the meats perfectly and the whole sandwich was dipped in the batter then fried. So so good. Then you add just a touch of the strawberry jam to each bite and ...WHOA! Warning: it's super rich and not easy to, nor should you finish on your own. Did I mention it was delicious. The servers were attentive and friendly. The food was awesome, but the service was absolutely amazing. Not only did we have a pleasant waitress, who was able to make my daughter laugh a few times, but Union went above and beyond when an issue arose. After paying for my meal, I had forgotten my credit card. I did not realize for a few days. I called them and they had it, but explained I lived more than an hour away and they were kind enough to ship the card back to me for free. And when they shipped it, they double enveloped it so nobody can see the content. It was so pleasant to see a business go out their way to make their customers happy. We had the pleasure of stopping by Union this past weekend, about two weeks after reopening for dine-in service. We preferred to sit outside so we put our name on the list. It was only about a ten minute wait before they were ready to seat us. Menus are currently "no-touch" - shared by scanning a barcode when u are seated, so diners can view the menu in their smartphone. Sounds like they've made some slight menu changes and I decided to try a new dish - the Bowl-a-Rama. Primarily sweet potato, hummus, fresh spinach, quinoa, and a lemon dressing. This was a decent bowl, and felt very healthy which I like, but I'm not sure I'd order it again. The quinoa was pretty sparse, and I didn't feel like the hummus really belonged (even though I love hummus). Still, it's good to be adventurous and try new things, right? My girls got The Bucktown and the new version of the Green Derby Salad with chicken. The Bucktown was devoured, not too spicy for her, she reported. The salad was fresh and tasty. We also ordered a side of sweet potato fries... deliciously sweet and salty. The patio was lovely as always. Our server was awesome as well. Food is as good except my fries were cold. They did bring hot new fries out. The thing is that there were several very active field mice under our table near the north fence. When I let them know, they were well aware of the mice. They don't want to poison them, which makes sense but there are so many other options than throwing up your hands. Build a solid fence that the mice can't run back and forth through. Trap them. So many options that don't include your guests putting their feet up to avoid the mice running up their legs. Union is the brainchild of three of the top restauranteurs in Fort Collins, who combined their talents to create a unique, modern soda fountain at the north end of Old Town. The building is big and airy with plenty of natural light, vaulted ceilings, a towering wall of greenery and a massive patio. Now a staple in FoCo, their brunch and happy hour have become somewhat regular occurrences for me - hop on the bike after work or on a Sunday morning, head up the river and end up at this beautiful location. We always sit at the bar (or on the patio if the weather is nice) and have never had anything less than fantastic service. Their food is gourmet-style diner food - biscuits and gravy, housemade donuts, burgers, meatloaf and chicken and waffles (I've had them all, I LOVE them all). On this occasion, I decided to stick with the sides in order to make more room for their boozy milkshakes! The French "Union" soup is honestly one of the best French onion soups I've had to date - rich and comforting with sweet caramelized onions, topped with a thick layer of nutty gruyere cheese. The mac 'n cheese is rich and creamy - simple, but spot-on. Since I hadn't had enough richness already, I ordered the Fall Into the Skrewball milkshake - Skrewball whiskey, peanut butter and chocolate. Decadent, thick and absolutely heavenly. They have the option to make this with dairy-free ice cream (which I would normally go for), but I was going all out! If I wasn't so stuffed afterwards, I may have gotten another... I haven't had a boozy shake since I lived in Los Angeles - this is well worth the bike ride by itself! Go for the food, stay for the drinks, the service and the atmosphere. read more

Decided to treat ourselves to a late lunch! I honestly love this place. The atmosphere is great and the food is amazing. They have a lot of great options! I will say that they make probably the best grilled cheese and tomato soup that I've ever had. We all shared this for our appetizer and it was gone in seconds. One of my younger pups loves this place for their hamburgers and fries, so we accomodate her dietary needs since the Union gives her the bun without any diary ingredients. I like their ambiance and Lattes. They used to have diary and nut free desserts there that my family loved, but unfortunately no more. I'm looking for a good bakery in town that can accomodate my younger pups allergies. It's officially become my mission to try every meatless bahn mi in Fort Collins. Today's review is of Union's tofu bahn mi. This one definitely met expectations. It was a little spicier than others that I've tried, which isn't really my thing but I was still able to enjoy it. The onions and jalapeños were really nicely pickled and the tofu was well marinated. I do wish there had been a thicker layer of tofu on the sandwich, but everything that was in there was so flavorful that it didn't leave too much to be desired. Overall Union was a great dining experience. I took my parents there during their most recent visit to Fort Collins. We received really prompt and attentive service. My parents, who can be very hard to please, really enjoyed it. Their menu has a great variety, so I'll definitely take future guests there, and I'll definitely order the tofu Bahn mi again. read more

I had dinner at Union with some friends. I really appreciate Union's variety of vegetarian/vegan options. Everything we ordered was delicious even their variety of non-alcoholic drinks. The staff was really kind and corrected a mistake that happened to me and was very apologetic and resolved it very well related to my order and being vegetarian. Ultimately, they cared about us, COVID requirements, etc. The environment is really enjoyable for a conversation among friends. The food is quite enjoyable as well. I'd driven by Union many times thinking it was just some place people got drunk (and it may very well be on certain nights with that patio) but it actually has a very good menu and dinner experience. read more

Another great find thanks to Yelp! I don't advise walking in during Saturday happy hour mid afternoon without a reservation but we were feeling courageous and went for it. Luckily there was seating at the bar where we parked until our table was ready. The happy hour was thebomb.com. And the watermelon tequila cocktail is a great starting point. The service was wonderful. Especially our bartender with the pink hair whose name I didn't catch *sorry* but was super friendly and helpful. The food was a step up from bar food for the price. Stopped in for dinner a couple weeks ago and did not leave disappointed. First things first, love the atmosphere of this place, I can only imagine how awesome it is in the summer with the doors open to the (massive) patio. Service was top notch, super friendly and attentive. The food was awesome. I had the chicken pot pie, it's an interesting take on it and more of a "soup" with a huge croissant on top, but it was heavenly. Perfect on a cold winter night. My dad had the hot chicken sandwich and was really impressed with it as well. We couldn't avoid the dessert menu and shared cheesecake and their cobbler, both heavenly. This place is great. All of their food looked amazing but I got the pasta and it was like Noodles and Company's pesto cavatapi but so much better. The milkshakes had a perfect booze to milkshake ratio and their fries were crispy and delicious. Our server was also very friendly and attentive. Good service! Nikolas was great. Atmosphere was chill but somewhat classy (I felt okay walking in with a regular tshirt and nice sweatpants. Food came out fast. Veggies were...subpar? Sliced too thin for my liking. I got the bahn mi sandwich, could have used more veggies and/or tofu. The chipotle ranch spiced it up. Regular fries were a little small cut for me. According to my mom--who doesn't have burgers all that often--the burger was really good. Love potion #9 highly recommend, better than the international waters in my option. Had a really lovely group of friends dinner here the other night. It was a weeknight and we were able to get a table for 6. I believe our waitress was Hannah(?) and she was very attentive and kind! I'm vegan and there were a couple options. The tofu banh mi. It was delicious. The sweet potato fries were great, not mushy at all like they can be sometimes at other places. I wish the cauliflower crispers were vegan!! They aren't marked as such on the menu but sound delicious. I would have loved to order an appetizer. To drink I got the root beer, it was a little sweet/syrupy for my taste but not bad! I love trying different root beers and birch beers so I don't regret ordering it but probably won't get it again. Happy hour at the Union is the place to be! I ordered the Sunshine Daydream and it was fantastic. I followed that with their custom Froze, despite it being cold out it was wonderful! I ordered the green chili cheese fries on happy hour special, sadly my only pic came out blurry but they were delicious! I loved the Olympus bowl, the falafel was crispy and the tzatziki sauce was superb. I wished the salad had more flavor to it, the lemon oil dressing was unnoticeable to me.
