What can I say, but Union-Door to the rescue again! Two weeks ago I called Union-Door with issues to a telephone entry system, which they quickly resolved. Well the homeowners association I belong to had vehicle security gate issues. Yesterday, President's Day 2018, the gate was wide open and would not close. That was just after 4pm. And a homeless person rummaging thru our recycle bins. Being a holiday was a major concern, because most companies were closed. We tried troubleshooting ourselves, with user manuals for reference. No luck. Even setting the gate in manual override did not work. The gate was stuck open. So we had to disconnect the mechanical swing arm. And close the gate, propping with garbage bins to stay closed. I went ahead and emailed Carlo to make sure he could accommodate us in the schedule as soon as possible. He responded, even on a holiday. Carlo sent two of his techs around noon the very next day. It was Jon again and another John. They assessed the issue. Did not need to take apart any hardware at all or deal with electrical and power issues. It was a safety sensor light issue, on the outside of the physical gate area, where there was a misalignment issue. Jon and John explained the problem, what to do, and recommended we take note so we can address ourselves and not make any service calls in the future. This was a quick resolution and, again, a quick visit. That was a major security relief for everyone. Union-Door techs are at the top of their game! This company just completed two jobs for me today, in excellent fashion. One was a major garage door motor upgrade at a big building that took about 6 hours and the other was an emergency repair on very short notice at another building. My clients and I were extremely happy with the work completed today. Sam and his co-worker did great with the motor installation and Julio coordinated the emergency repair. Mike was also very helpful in coordinating the motor installation. This company knows what they are doing, is reasonably priced, and has a good attitude when scheduling and while onsite. I work at a dental office in Oakland, and one day our front office door wouldn't lock. It was after dark and I called almost every lock specialist I can in my area and no one would come to take a look. I was able to reach one technician who came out but was unable to resolve the issue. I manage 189 condo units near the water front in San Francisco. Many of the metal frame windows from the 70's get stuck. There aren't enough superlatives to describe the amazing service I get from Carlo and from Union Rolling Door. I called Carlo last night (well beyond the time they closed) in a panic because a fire alarm caused the fire curtains in my building to be activated. It turns out that the system was proprietary so there was nothing he/they could do to help. We've used Union Door for several years for our large warehouse door, helping us to figure out interference with our remote openers. When we had a fire in our warehouse (on July 4!) we were able to contact our representative (Carlo) to see about repairing the door after the fire department had to cut 8' x 8' hole in it to access the building.
