Tried twice but, while it took my credit card, the pump sensor was broken so it couldn't tell I'd taken the pump. Went in to the store and told the person. He didn't believe me at first of course. Eventually he said ok and we went out to the pump. Meanwhile my girlfriend had given up and moved to another pump. So I tried to use that one. It said see cashier. I guess that's reasonable since it was the third dip I'd done at the station and my card company was probably suspicious. The cashier had disappeared so I went back in again. Now there was a long line. A new cashier was working. Then the cashier I talked to came back in and I told him what happened. He said I'd have to pay inside. I said but now there's a long line. So he went to a second register and I thought he was going to let me pay since I'd be having quite the gauntlet here. But no - he said next in line. I gave up in disgust.

Only one who will refuse sales to me and he is most likely sexist. The reason for refusal is because when i first moved here, i didn't have my horizontal ID yet. I returned once i got my horizontal (i am 21 almost 22) and tried to purchase my drinks again and he refused even tho i had the correct id bc he said i have a vertical ID (which i showed him the new one and he still said he needed to see my boyfriends.) My boyfriends is in the mail, but his ID reads 2003. Which the cashier says he cant read them and they dont scan them. He wont sell to me when I'm alone even. All bc he hasn't checked my boyfriend's ID. EVEN THOUGH I AM PAYING AND PURCHASING FOR MYSELF AND MY BOYFRIEND ISNT WITH ME WHEN BUYING. The women have sold to me, with my boyfriend and without. It is only this male cashier that refuses sales to me.

I feel silly even reviewing a gas station, but considering the opinion that most people in Kitsap County share of Gorst, I feel this gas station really is a rose in a pile of weeds. The times I've been in there, the staff were very helpful, and the place was very clean and looked very well maintained. It's a perfect location if you're on your way to Port Orchard or driving around to Seattle to stop in for some snacks, or for a quick fill up in your gas tank. Bottom line, it's very typical being surrounded by "pay for sex" establishments and tattoo parlors to follow suit and have a dirty run down gas station. However, you can tell that the owners and employees of this place really care about providing a clean and nice establishment, regardless of their surroundings, and little efforts like that deserve recognition.

They have an air machine if you need to add air to your tires. Inside the convenience store is surprisingly well stocked, and the prices there were comparable with larger gas stations. I was kind of expecting Bodega style pricing as there aren't a ton of convenience stores in the area, but they don't take advantage of you here which is commendable. The only downside was that the employees seemed utterly disengaged from their jobs. I went here on successive days as I was staying at the hotel across the street, and every time I went in there were two employees on duty, and neither of them barely looked up from their phones to take my money.

So I stick to the product I can see the price for. The woman at the register was super friendly and nice. She helped some of the customers in the lobby with the coffee area when they had questions and then quickly rang me out with a smile on her face. Would return for a snack run :)

This place has fast pumps, too. Even though there's always a line, your actual time at the pump is over quickly. And they do have 30 pumps, which makes it crazy that there's always a line (especially on weekends or during rush hour). But there it is. This is review 2K for me.
