I wasn't particularly impressed with my blow dry experience. The person who was did my hair was…read morereally nice, but the whole thing took so long because she kept getting distracted by talking to other people at the salon and was generally quite slow. I had also asked for it to be straight and she ended up putting curls in that didn't even hold. When I reached the counter, I caught a better glimpse of myself (the chair I was in was so low to the ground I could only see what was above my chin,) and had to ask her to do the curls again and add a LOT of hairspray, because it was not going to hold by the time I reached my event and it was blisteringly hot and humid outside. I was right. Even with the hair spray and the second time around curls, by the time I reached the event I looked like a hot mess and just ended up tying up my hair up. I'm sure there are skilled professionals here, and maybe any other day and with someone else I might have had more luck, but sadly I will not be coming back here. 3.5 stars generously rounded up for the benefit of the doubt.

Annazette is the best! Very kind and welcoming, and leaves you feeling fantastic about your hair!…read more I just had my second cut with Annazette and her curly hair competence is top notch. She's focused on cutting and styling hair, not chatting and gossiping; which to me, is very important. It doesn't take much to cut curly hair too short and leave you miserable until it grows back. With Annazette, this doesn't happen, she's conservative with the initial cutting then goes back to put the finishing touches. I highly recommend Annazette to all curly haired people. It's clear she takes pride in her work and wants her clients to truly love the hair they have.

Very kind and flexible! 10/10 My stylist: it was my first time at the salon, and I got to work with their stylist Kailey! She was amazing! So friendly, great to talk to but not awkward if there were quiet moments, attentive and asked me questions about what I wanted while offering expertise and suggestions when I asked for direction or opinions! Truly so professional and yet so chill and flexible. Definitely keeping her as a primary stylist!! 11/10 Atmosphere: the salon was clean, cute, and in an easy location to find that's close to me and a cute part of Fredericksburg! Great music that wasn't too loud, amazing cruelty free products, and a really sweet stylist/customer relationship vibe! Everyone who came in seemed to be regulars that loved it and stylists who were professional and kind! 10/10 Haircut: I LOVE my cut! I came in with some pictures as an idea, a lot of trust for stylists, and a blend of open-mindedness and boundaries. Kaylie listened to me, asked what I liked about certain pictures and helped me customize my cut to perfection! Double checked with me on length and did a rough cut before my wash. With clean hair she went back in adding layers, adding some face framing pieces, and then styled me! She let me see it before curling it and it was PERFECT! Super cute, exactly what I wanted even before I knew what I wanted!! Adorable curled, and so very needed! Overall I loved this salon and look forward to my next visit there:)

I first traveled to see her from Florida then when I moved to North Caroline. I was very nervous about my hair when I first reached out to her because I had some severe damage due to lupus. My first consult with her she was very thorough and provided me with all my options, any considerations i needed to keep in mind, and made herself very flexible to my schedule, as I was traveling in from out of state. I LOVED my straight crochet the first time she did a year or so ago, and i love it even more this second visit. She paid close attention to the style I was trying to achieve and nailed it. I thought the braids were going to be painful, but they were beautiful and painless. I will continue flying to Fredericksburg to see her because she makes it worthwhile. I could not speak more highly of a haircare professional than Twana. Her thoughtful approach to beauty is to be admired and commended.
