I have been dealing with Unified for a number of years and they have done a door replacement, window replacement and a complete roof replacement. After a rough winter I noticed some damage to fascia and I assumed it was part of the roofing job that the company did for me two years ago. I called and spoke to senior management and they told me that they had not replaced that area and so that was not part of the roofing job. However, unlike so many other companies, they said we'll come over and take care of it anyway just because we did your whole roof. And they came over today and their workmen in very short order took care of the fix. This company truly cares about its customers, their workmen are on time, professional, and respect your time and property. I would never get an estimate for any job on my house whether it's for windows, roofing, siding, or doors without checking with Unified first; their prices are great and the quality of their workmanship is superior ... and perhaps most important, they stand by their work. read more

Ordered an Anderson storm door on July1,2026...September Ist called to see what was taking so long...I was told any day it will be in. I was finally called and told they would install Sept.16. Got a call that day, can't make it. Rescheduled for the next week. Got a call that mornng, installer was in an accident. Long story short, I demanded my money back, which they did. What a bunch of dopes working there. Run the other way. Not professional at all. read more

I have had Unified windows for 10 years. When there has been an issue and that isn't very often, the customer service has been stellar. From the inital phone call to the tech showing up and taking care of things. The tech would explain what the issue was and replace the part no charge. Unified offers a lifetime warrant on all their products. In addition to my windows, I recently had a garage door replaced/installed. Lawrence the tech was professional and courteous. read more

I'm going through a little situation with my window and I just called on the phone the receptionist and employer/worker they have a very passive aggressive tone talking to you I've never dealt with getting a repair or installation of a window so you would assume they would be a little nicer but they're 100% not. read more

Sketchy as fuck. I have used these guys in the past on other homes, 20 years ago and was pleased with the price and service. Bro quoted me $4k for a composite frame 36" front door. I walked out immediately and got the same door installed at half that. If i wanted to pay your overpriced commission, i would have called renewal. read more

The price was great and everything went as planned. They did a great job and cleaned up after like they were never there.

Unified Windows did an excellent job installing my new kitchen window. The team was punctual, professional, and respectful of my home. The installation was quick, the workmanship is solid, and the new window looks fantastic. On top of that, the value was outstanding. High-quality work at a really fair price. Great communication from start to finish. Highly recommend! read more

I just had a person who didn't seem to know anything about dealing with customers. While explaining that the previous window installers did a lousy job, and slammed windows in without consideration to the house. (they did whatever was easiest for them without care for the house infrastructure) He said "What does that have to do with window jams?!?" And then said "Maybe that was condescending" Yes, Yes it was. Windows are expensive, particularly now. If you don't care about the customer having a previous bad experience and you are going to take their concerns personally, maybe you shouldn't be going on estimates. I am too old to be giving tens of thousands of $$$$ to people who are so thin skinned. If they can't be bothered to be respectful and allay our concerns before they get the job, how do I think they will be after I give them $$$$ up front? Better? read more

I had a garage fire door installed, and there was a problem. Without hesitation, they ordered the necessary parts, and came over to fix it. VERY accommodating and customer service is tops! Will use them in the future...1st choice! Joe D. read more

Worst experience ever! Run do not walk away from this company. I find it astounding that they have the absolute gall to have a recording on their phone line touting their amazing customer service, what a joke. Ordered a storm door on April 15th and was promised 4-6 week lead time. Installer finally came on July 3rd with our new door. No communication whatsoever in the 3 months we waited. Needless to say, door was damaged. Was then promised a "hot rush" on the reorder. Still no communication from their "amazing" customer service team. Well here we are August 18th and they have finally come to install our new door. They did not even have the decency to schedule us as the first install of the day, nor did we ever receive any sincere apology or concern over the situation. Of course the new door is not perfect, small chip on inner corner and scratch on bottom frame but there is no way are we waiting another 2 months so shame on us but we are taking the door. Absolutely no renumeration had been given for our inconvenience and the "manager" never even bothered to return our call. We lived without a door for 6 weeks as the installer removed our old door without inspecting the new one. The most unprofessional company we have ever dealt with. Whole heartedly do NOT recommend this company. read more

Communication with many Unified staff was extremely poor and frustrating. One example is foreman for the siding job called and said he would be here in 35 minutes, then never showed up and never called. Many more difficult situations, but bottom line is I would never recommend Unified. read more

From the moment we called Unified to replace 4 double hung windows until the finished products were expertly installed, the entire experience was seamless, pleasant and to our complete satisfaction. This included speaking with phone representatives, the salesman who met with us, scheduling department who helped get a convenient installation date and time and the professional and knowledgeable installer. The windows are perfect and Unified made sure of it! Great company to have dealt with and will do so again should the need arise! read more

As invited by the owner in his reply to my initial review, I reached out to him by email. He replied to my email that I'm unreasonable and impossible to please. I guess his words in that email to me, notably off this public page, speak for themselves. Additionally, he ceased communication between us and one of his workers who was committed to helping us get the door repaired. I have nothing to add except that I stand by my original review, which accurately describes my experience with this company. read more

This company has extremely poor customer services. I called about a door installed four years ago where the paint has begun to peel from storm door handle. We were informed our only option was to purchase a new door handle. A quote was provided, but since labor was twice the cost of part, we requested they charge us and ship us the part and we would install ourselves. They refuse to ship any parts to customer, and will only accept payment and provide part if we visit their store. (60+ miles away) Needless to say, we won't be visiting the store again, and will gladly tell anyone to ask not to purchase from this company as the quality of their products is poor, and their customer service is worse. read more

Everyone I spoke with on the phone seemed bothered to have to be talking to me. Didn't want to answer questions, was short in responses, and rude at time. The website says "free estimates", but the young girl on the phone said I needed to pay $50 for them to come and give a proper estimate. I said "nevermind, have a nice day" and called another company. read more

Unified was able to replace my back door when other vendors could not. Demetrious (installer) and his helper were great, and did a great job, as well as leaving the job site clean and ready for living. Very happy I used them and would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks! read more

We purchased a second home for rental income in Baldwin that needed siding and a new roof. After careful research, we decided to go with Unified because of recommendations from friends and our previous experience. We went with Unified after all because of the price and they were able to get supplies faster than other contractors. read more

Homeowners beware!!! Had windows and doors installed about a year ago. We are seniors so I guess you can say we were scammed. When we went outside after the winter we noticed all the white window trimming was BLACK. Called the office and spoke to Roxanne, sent her a picture, which for me wasn't easy and she agreed. But you have to pay $95 to resume you warranty. Ok? after only a year? But we said fine, send someone down. A very nice worked came down and was astonished that it was done so poorly . He couldn't fix it so he took more pics and sent to his manager. We waited, no call, I called them, "oh, he's out to lunch" "oh, he left for the day" "oh dont worry he'll get right back to you, still to this day 3 weeks later have not returned our call. No stars is too much for them. Carol P read more

My location is in error by Google here. I do not live in San Francisco, I live in Brooklyn, NY. We ordered a door and windows from Unified and they did an excellent job. A salesman promptly came to our house shortly after I called Unified. The selection of styles & colors he showed us were very nice & after we chose the door & windows, he took the measurements & gave us an installation date. On the installation day, the workers were on time, the work was fine & they cleaned up after themselves. We are completely satisfied with the quality of the door & windows. read more

We had a storm/screen door replaced. Everyone from Unified on the phone and who came to our home was courteous and very competent. Although the time between the first call and actually getting the new door installed was long, we did get it before Christmas as we requested ( by a couple of days) and we are happy with it. I am not sure that we got the reduced price that was advertised in Newsday that originally attracted us to Unified. read more

I was a little hesitant at first by calling this company because I saw a few bad reviews, but when I spoke to the salesperson when he came to my home I felt a bit better. And am glad I chose Unified. Had a bay window installed. Professional and talented installers. Cleaned up, no mess. Excellent finishing work. The entire process involved all professional and very nice people. Excellent communication, excellent salesperson, good price. Only thing to mention, when it is made to order, it takes 10 weeks, minimum. But, other than the wait, I would do it again without hesitation. read more
