I have been dealing with Unified for a number of years and they have done a door replacement, window replacement and a complete roof replacement. After a rough winter I noticed some damage to fascia and I assumed it was part of the roofing job that the company did for me two years ago. I called and spoke to senior management and they told me that they had not replaced that area and so that was not part of the roofing job. However, unlike so many other companies, they said we'll come over and take care of it anyway just because we did your whole roof. And they came over today and their workmen in very short order took care of the fix. This company truly cares about its customers, their workmen are on time, professional, and respect your time and property. I would never get an estimate for any job on my house whether it's for windows, roofing, siding, or doors without checking with Unified first; their prices are great and the quality of their workmanship is superior ... and perhaps most important, they stand by their work. read more

I just had a person who didn't seem to know anything about dealing with customers. While explaining that the previous window installers did a lousy job, and slammed windows in without consideration to the house. (they did whatever was easiest for them without care for the house infrastructure) He said "What does that have to do with window jams?!?" And then said "Maybe that was condescending" Yes, Yes it was. Windows are expensive, particularly now. If you don't care about the customer having a previous bad experience and you are going to take their concerns personally, maybe you shouldn't be going on estimates. I am too old to be giving tens of thousands of $$$$ to people who are so thin skinned. If they can't be bothered to be respectful and allay our concerns before they get the job, how do I think they will be after I give them $$$$ up front? Better? read more

Worst experience ever! Run do not walk away from this company. I find it astounding that they have the absolute gall to have a recording on their phone line touting their amazing customer service, what a joke. Ordered a storm door on April 15th and was promised 4-6 week lead time. Installer finally came on July 3rd with our new door. No communication whatsoever in the 3 months we waited. Needless to say, door was damaged. Was then promised a "hot rush" on the reorder. Still no communication from their "amazing" customer service team. Well here we are August 18th and they have finally come to install our new door. They did not even have the decency to schedule us as the first install of the day, nor did we ever receive any sincere apology or concern over the situation. Of course the new door is not perfect, small chip on inner corner and scratch on bottom frame but there is no way are we waiting another 2 months so shame on us but we are taking the door. Absolutely no renumeration had been given for our inconvenience and the "manager" never even bothered to return our call. We lived without a door for 6 weeks as the installer removed our old door without inspecting the new one. The most unprofessional company we have ever dealt with. Communication with many Unified staff was extremely poor and frustrating. One example is foreman for the siding job called and said he would be here in 35 minutes, then never showed up and never called. Many more difficult situations, but bottom line is I would never recommend Unified. read more

This company has extremely poor customer services. I called about a door installed four years ago where the paint has begun to peel from storm door handle. We were informed our only option was to purchase a new door handle. A quote was provided, but since labor was twice the cost of part, we requested they charge us and ship us the part and we would install ourselves. They refuse to ship any parts to customer, and will only accept payment and provide part if we visit their store. (60+ miles away) Needless to say, we won't be visiting the store again, and will gladly tell anyone to ask not to purchase from this company as the quality of their products is poor, and their customer service is worse. read more

Everyone I spoke with on the phone seemed bothered to have to be talking to me. Didn't want to answer questions, was short in responses, and rude at time. The website says "free estimates", but the young girl on the phone said I needed to pay $50 for them to come and give a proper estimate. Homeowners beware!!! Had windows and doors installed about a year ago. We are seniors so I guess you can say we were scammed. When we went outside after the winter we noticed all the white window trimming was BLACK. Called the office and spoke to Roxanne, sent her a picture, which for me wasn't easy and she agreed. But you have to pay $95 to resume you warranty. Ok? after only a year? But we said fine, send someone down. A very nice worked came down and was astonished that it was done so poorly . He couldn't fix it so he took more pics and sent to his manager. We waited, no call, I called them, "oh, he's out to lunch" "oh, he left for the day" "oh dont worry he'll get right back to you, still to this day 3 weeks later have not returned our call. A salesman promptly came to our house shortly after I called Unified. The selection of styles & colors he showed us were very nice & after we chose the door & windows, he took the measurements & gave us an installation date.
