To preface this review…read more This establishment is ran by the same people that used to have a place called "The Bull Pen" in a town I grew up in. The food is exactly as I remember. It fills me with a lot of nostalgia so I have to be wary of that guiding my review. Pros... From an objective point of view their pizza is very good. It is a sweet sauce pizza (so be wary of that if sweet sauce isn't your cup of tea) and it is laid out and baked with cornmeal rather than flour. I love this combination of flavors and feel it makes a unique and tasty, not overly sweet, sweet sauce pie. Sweet sauce is not always my go too but it pairs wonderfully with their "creamy mild" dipping sauce. The mix of these greasy flavors are sure to knock your socks off! Their fried food is also quite good! Worth adding an appetizer sampler onto your order to give them a try! Cons... My girlfriend got a creamy mild chicken pizza but honestly was not the biggest of fans. Felt the chicken was cut too thick and not enough sauce was on the pie. Laura almost ALWAYS wants less sauce on a pizza so that is odd. She felt it was dry. In conclusion! Overall this is a great pizza place. Worth a try if you are open to sweet sauce. Maybe avoid the creamy mild chicken pizza?

It's a local institution for a reason. Fun name and great slices. You'll be happy, probably.read more

The beer selection and interior design were more impressive than the food…read more Both beers we ordered were poured well and had good citrus and hoppy notes. No complaints there. Besides the staple menu, there was a rotating menu featuring a soup, mussel dish, flatbread, burger, and pasta. The food took some time to come out, and everything was rather bland across the board. The interior was decorated nicely for the holidays though. *Hummus Platter: a huge shareable for $10. The crispy naan resembled the Costco version but fried. The naan itself worked well as a base for the hummus, although the hummus was neither smooth nor flavorful. There was no fragrance from the chickpeas, and it tasted rather unseasoned. The selection of peppers, carrots, and cucumbers was decent. *Garlic Butter Mussels: their monthly mussel dish. The mussels were cooked well and coated in a one dimensional sauce. The sweet wine was cooked down with lots of garlic, while the butter was subtle. I wished there had been a bit more toasted baguette to balance the one pound of seafood. Note there is a 3% credit card surcharge. I could not find this listed on their menu and but I saw the charge on my receipt. I enjoyed the few beers I had, and the food was acceptable for a bar. With some improvement to the flavors, this could be a worthwhile visit for a bite and a drink.

I've been a Unida Pizza customer for decades. A friend and I frequented Unida's Danville location every Sunday after church for a time as we didn't want a big dinner meal at a higher cost. The employees, owner, etc. were always very nice and treated us like family. It has always been clean, a nice atmosphere and a birthday party room along the side. Whenever I have my car worked on at Shannon Tire, I go over there for a slice of pizza and a soda while waiting for my car. I can read the Press Enterprise while waiting and the nice Shannon guy will let you know when your car is done. When the new Unida opened in Bloomsburg we were not surprised to find the same friendly good service (their slice of pizza is huge) and we were delighted with how nice the new look was, even including an outdoor patio with tables and chairs. Carol and I still make that our stop when we are up that way. Sorry, but from my years' experience at Unida, my guess is that any negative reports might be either unfounded or picky. This wonderful treasure, was discovered, of course as I searched for highly recommended pizza places in the area. As a YELP elite, of 6 years, YELP reviews are always my go too for places. I honestly wish some establishments could receive more then 5 stars, this pizza place deserved it least 6 stars. Customer service, was outstanding, welcoming and very helpful. Needing to up our stomachs with carbs for the race the next day.... we selected three slices of pizza. First slice was cheese, Second slice was buffalo chicken, and the third slice was another delicious selection ( honestly forgot). The pizza reminded us of NY style pizza, fresh, tasty, perfect amount of ingredients, presented to appetize our hungry palates, and even warmed in oven, and brought out to us. I'm by no means a fan of hot sauce, or really boneless wings, except for Superbowl and rare occasions. As we were cashing out, and ordering are food, there was a sign boneless wings, 1/2 pound under $ 6. The wings we selected were bbq mild, full of flavor, and hearty pieces of chicken.
