They have been featured on A Current Affair and their regular 'Hottest Burger' eating challenges create a storm of You Tube clips and Facebook photos. Any burger that comes with a health warning and a 'Recovery Kit' has to be quite a meal to tackle and not one that I am personally going to try. I am regularly in the area and I can always tell when some poor brave soul is attempting the burger, the sounds you hear are hilarious. Aside from Mega Death burger, they actually have delicious wraps, breakfasts, burgers with generous fillings and their homemade sauces and dressings are amazing. If you feel like a coffee, this place is one of my favourites, ask for Jess, she makes a lovely creamy coffee.

I jumped in the car on an Autumn Sunday morning, dog in tow, and zipped out to Wellington Point to meet you. You were busy. Local cyclists have made themselves at home in your cosy nook. Personally, I always take this as a good sign. Cyclists don't stand for bad coffee so it was a welcome sign. And just as your Instagram showed, you were cute as a button. The coffee cups handmade by a local ceramic artist shot my crush on you through the roof. Thank heavens that first sip of coffee (Dramanti for those playing at home) brought me back to earth. Wellington Point locals are gosh darn spoilt to have you on their doorstep and while I'm residing on the Northside, the feeling of escaping the city and knowing you're there to greet us with a cosy cup of coffee, a freshly baked muffin, and a copy of some cool magazines to flick through, means we're not going to be strangers! Perfectly cooked apples with the most decadent crumble and a dash of maple syrup and yummy scoop of ice cream. It was so filling I left 1/4 of the waffle so it is well worth the price. When I inquired why, she summoned someone from the kitchen to clarify. He reiterated that they could only fry eggs, but would get the chef and ask him. The chef then came to the counter and told me that he could only fry eggs and not scramble them. When I politely explained that scrambling eggs is somewhat easier than frying eggs he said he wouldn't do it. Gob smacked, I told them all to forget my order. I don't like fried eggs. I guess they must be a booming business to turn customers away with their cash due to simple service requests. I assume asking them to not cut toast in half, or withhold the mushrooms would also be unacceptable to them.... I won't be bothering them with my custom in the future. The lovely young woman at the other service counter making our coffee (to order) was very sweet, and was tipped accordingly. Don't go here if you want jam instead of vegimite with your toast, or white bread instead of whole wheat. You will be disappointed.

The bread was a little bit soggy and not crunchy which is what I was hoping for. However the avocado was thoroughly ripe, creamy, and the bacon was crunchy on the outsides, succulent in the middle. I work in the area and there are quite a few coffee shops along the strip. Eventually, I thought I should give them a go and I am pleased to say that I really enjoyed the coffee and the place. They have a warm, vibrant atmosphere and mixed with the relaxed feel all the Redlands seems to have, it is a good combination. I really enjoyed my homemade muffin and cappuccino combo. They also have a really good variety on the menu including baguettes and sandwiches plus I was really temped by their breakfast menu... must come back for breakfast one day soon. They are a little far, I can walk to at least 3 coffee places from where I work and unfortunately I would have to drive to get to Mila. No problem, possibly they might just become my weekend cafe of choice instead.

Wello Point Takeaway has hot crispy scallops and the fish comes with a generous serving of crunchy chips with just the right amount of salt, if salt is your preference. Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait, especially on weekends around lunchtime. I reckon this is a sign that I'm not the only fan. It is a great spot on the corner and a regular stop for locals.
