I work in the area and there are quite a few coffee shops along the strip. Eventually, I thought I should give them a go and I am pleased to say that I really enjoyed the coffee and the place. They have a warm, vibrant atmosphere and mixed with the relaxed feel all the Redlands seems to have, it is a good combination. I really enjoyed my homemade muffin and cappuccino combo. They also have a really good variety on the menu including baguettes and sandwiches plus I was really temped by their breakfast menu... must come back for breakfast one day soon. They are a little far, I can walk to at least 3 coffee places from where I work and unfortunately I would have to drive to get to Mila. No problem, possibly they might just become my weekend cafe of choice instead.

I grabbed a medium skinny cap and their Fried Chicken and waffle egg Benny, while my partner ordered a medium soy flat white and their egg Benny with smoked salmon. The waffle on the bottom was infused with maple syrup but remained crispy. It was sweet but overpowering. The fried chicken was tender and tasty. The poached eggs sitting on top were covered in hollandaise sauce, which was prob the best I have had. It was thick and tangy to the right point. The dish would have been flawless if the fried chicken had been crispy. The base for my partner's egg Benny was a thick chunk of Turkish bread (by the look of it), which we both thought was absolutely brilliant and a wonderful idea. We loved that it was crispy on the edge. The salmon was nice and fresh. Aside from the meals, they have a fairly big variety of cake and treats and a whole shelf dedicated to macrons, which also looked really tempting, but we will come back some other time to give them a try. I also really loved their decor and interior design. The artworks and cutlery cabinet. The whole place gave me that beachy and Mediterranean vibe, which I really adored. I decided to go there for breakfast on a Sunday a while back (when my intention was just to go to Woolies and grab some milk), so I wasn't really dressed for an outing. We were able to chat and relax without feeling rushed to leave and vacate, and combined with the good quality of food it made a nice end to a hectic week.

I am regularly in the area and I can always tell when some poor brave soul is attempting the burger, the sounds you hear are hilarious. This cafe is the reason I'm a coffee snob. The owner is the barista (most of the time) and is so incredibly passionate about coffee. Large coffees have a free, optional 3rd shot of coffee, and alternative or specialty milks are also free. Personally, I appreciate an owner that wants all their customers to enjoy their coffee more than they want the extra 30 cents. The lactose intolerant are truly welcome here. It's not even the cheap faux-milks, either. Since it's small beginnings it has grown a lot. The most impressive is the pizza oven, which is really opened up the kitchen to make some really delicious breakfast foods. These guys do a classic breakfast menu, so if you want an eggs benedict, this is your place. (Most of) the cakes may not be made on site, but they are brought in from somewhere that knows what they're about, and they are always fresh. 2shots started with 3 tables and have a dozen seats - and now they have an outdoor table area. I hate sitting outside, but this is an exception. The eating area has blinds, so wind and rain can be kept out, and of course a roof, which heaters for winter. I jumped in the car on an Autumn Sunday morning, dog in tow, and zipped out to Wellington Point to meet you. You were busy. Local cyclists have made themselves at home in your cosy nook. Personally, I always take this as a good sign. Cyclists don't stand for bad coffee so it was a welcome sign. And just as your Instagram showed, you were cute as a button. The coffee cups handmade by a local ceramic artist shot my crush on you through the roof. Thank heavens that first sip of coffee (Dramanti for those playing at home) brought me back to earth. Wellington Point locals are gosh darn spoilt to have you on their doorstep and while I'm residing on the Northside, the feeling of escaping the city and knowing you're there to greet us with a cosy cup of coffee, a freshly baked muffin, and a copy of some cool magazines to flick through, means we're not going to be strangers!
