Not a family friendly venue…read more Made a booking here this evening by ringing ahead one hour before arrival, booked a table for 7 + a highchair at 7pm. Arrived on time to find out there was a 40 minute queue just to order your food, and a further 40-50 minute wait to receive your meals.....with children, these kinds of waiting times are just ridiculous! (especially for chicken nuggets of all things!). Had we known about the fact that they were busy when we rang, we could have planned to eat elsewhere, but now, this family is one that won't be coming back here again next time we are in the area.

I must admit that this pub was pretty big. In a way it seemed to be more a restaurant, but they were happy for me to just come in and have a beer. The service was good, and they certainly did have a decent range as well. Yeah, this place was certainly pretty good, and a great place to simply kill some time with some beers.

The rooms are also extremely spacious and the mattresses are very comfortable. The bathrooms could probably use a window that can be opened and a fan too but the air con. for the room is extremely effective. If snacks are wanted then you won't be able pay for ones that are in your fridge or cupboard cause there aren't any there. When I stayed we walked down the road to a fish and chips restaurant that started with something like ... JJJ's .... it was extremely delicious and they have basically EVERYTHING in there that you could want. There is also a few games and lots of 80s memorabilia that looks fantastic.
