After digging two of my own, and realizing my successes and failures, I decided to reach out to a professional to help me execute my vision. I reached out to numerous companies. One quoted me 50k over the phone sight unseen another came over and wasted two weeks of my time by looking at the pond, agreeing to the job, then leaving me hanging for 3 different texts about getting a quote (pond doctor) but never came through with one. So very unprofessional! Anyway, Dennis arrived and was like our knight in shining armor of ponds he and his crew ripped out my old liners, kept my fish safe in a big tank, and began HAND digging the new pond which is extremely hard work. Over the next few weeks they rocked everything in and got all of the beautiful high grade equipment installed (no visible hoses anywhere, what a miracle) Dennis even took the extra time to drive out to a special quarry to pick specimen rocks for my waterfall vision. We worked together to complete the landscaping because that is the part I really enjoy. Attached are pictures of the process, and final product. I have been "pond side" for hours on end every day! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will love it forever!! If you're looking for pond upgrade or new pond build, this is your man. Can't wait to see what my pond flourishes into

Update there is a small leak now in my fountain and I texted Dennis a few times and he's gone dark so I'm lowering my review from five stars to three. Will update if he ever gets back to me. Final update: after a few weeks of excuses, Dennis was not ever able to come back out so unfortunately I have to concur with the other reviews about his lack of response. Update: 3-28-26 Now the pump he installed (which has only been plugged in for two weeks) died. I am back to square one...at a loss...100% do not use him!

The previous company we hired struggled for a year before giving up entirely and recommended that we contact Ken at SCALS. Honestly, I was ready to give up on the whole thing. Ken came in, spent two hours talking through everything, and it was clear right away that he knew his stuff. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but he's also just a genuinely great guy. Fast forward to today, and our saltwater tank has been running beautifully for over a decade! The transformation has been incredible. I hired Timeless Ponds and Fountains to restore a fountain that had been reconfigured and…read moresubsequently failed. The job required reinstallation of a basin that had been removed, replumbing the fountain to move a pump into the basin, and then providing a replacement cover for a part that had been disposed of by accident. The work was done in pretty much one morning and was performed excellently. The basin was set and carefully leveled, the fountain plumbing was addressed, and everything is working great again. Chris did this work on a pretty warm day but really paid attention to the details. Now to add some river stones and plantings around the edge.

They replied that they would have to pass on the job, without offering any explanation, referral, or guidance. I understand not every company takes every job, but the response felt dismissive and unhelpful, especially after I had taken the time to send details and photos. Based on this interaction, I would not contact them again. Update: Matt called me personally to apologize for the brief response and explain that my fountain issue was outside the scope of what they could take on. He also gave me helpful advice about who to contact next. I appreciated the follow-up and it made me feel much better about the whole interaction. Although they weren't able to help with my specific issue, I respect that Matt took the time to call and clarify things.

This review is long overdue!…read more This company has been exactly what my husband and I needed. We live in Palm Desert, where it's hard to find aquatic plants or any real support for pond owners. We came across Pond Digger online and decided to make the drive one weekend to pick up a few plants. Well, we ended up leaving with water treatment supplies, 10 aquatic plants, and 5 koi (one was a free bonus) Thank you ! Their names are Boeing, Carrot Top, Dragon, Scorpion, and Tiberius. They're beautiful, and the plants have added such a peaceful, natural ambiance to our pond. Before visiting Pond Digger, our pond had turned a dark blackish-brown after we added a log to it. Instead of trying to sell us carbon or a bunch of expensive treatments, Eric took the time to explain that the log was the cause. He educated us on why it was happening, told us to remove it, and shared simple tips and tricks to help clear the water. Thanks to his knowledge and honest advice, our pond is now clear! To top it all off, we even received a thoughtful thank-you card. That kind of personal touch means a lot. We love supporting small, family-owned businesses that are knowledgeable, kind, honest, and genuinely care about their customers instead of just making a sale. Thank you, Eric and the Pond Digger team, for making our pond such a joy! This version highlights Eric's honesty and expertise, making it clear that he earned your trust by solving the problem instead of simply selling you more products. Thank you! Paul and Katrina
