I've had 6 tattoos at this location and I love the results! Four of my tattoos are small, simple line black tattoos that are beautiful years later. I have a very detailed black and white upper arm piece of roses that *Adam did and it is by far my favorite piece I have. He is a true artist. He will forever be my personal tattoo artist now. I'm planning my next one now! The shop is clean and the actual working area is brightly lit and sterile. I was never concerned about any of my work done. I got my first tattoo here about a year ago. My artist was Travis. I didn't know what to expect and had a budget of $100. Everything was amazing and simple from scheduling my appointment, which I had to reschedule and they were super nice about, to actually getting my tattoo. Everyone there was super nice. Travis was helpful and kind. He's the only one that told me accurately what getting a tattoo would feel like- being scratched by a cat (over and over). He worked with me on the design and my budget. I went in for a touch up (not to any fault of his own. Just to make sure everything was completely filled in) and they did not charge me for it. You get one free within 45 days of getting your tattoo done. They're funny and it is an enjoyable atmosphere, even if you're shy. A year later my tattoo still looks amazing and I love it. The shop itself was very clean. All of the tools came from packages, showing they were either new or definitely sanitized. I 100% recommend Travis and Underground Ink to anyone who wants a tattoo. read more

I wish I could give a better review of my first tattoo experience. However, I can't, because I still have yet to get my first tattoo. I met with the artist Lolli, who said she'd be in touch with me in a couple weeks after designing and drawing up my tattoo. I called the shop for the status around 3 weeks after my consultation, and was angrily told not to call and that Lolli would be in touch with me as soon as she was ready.... That was 4 months ago. This place is professional and beautifully decorated! It also smelled amazing (like apple cinnamon) the last time I went and is always super clean. The staff is personable. They really inform you of what the best options for you are and will not do anything that would purposefully harm you (My pierced recommended another piercing last time because my tragus was too small to pierce properly). They also really inform you on how to take care of your tattoos and piercings. I have had my septum, nostril, smiley, and helix pierced here. I wouldn't trust anywhere else to do such high quality work as Underground Ink. read more

Wouldn't give this place a star if that was an option. I was visiting friends in MHK and we decided to go to underground ink because they had a POSTED SIGN IN THE WINDOW stating that they did walk-ins. So we went in to see if they had any time to do a couple simple tattoos for us. As soon as we walked through the door there was not a single person in the shop except Chris (?). We asked if he had time since we saw he had MULTIPLE open appointment slots on his website. He came at us aggressively saying that they don't do walk-ins because they don't want people like us to ruin their reputation. He went on and on despite the obviously confused and offended looks on our faces. We went upstairs to a DIFFERENT tattoo shop and had a completely wonderful experience; I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the tattoo shop UPSTAIRS AND A COUPLE SHOPS OVER. They also have some great stories from customers who have had similar experiences at underground ink. Long story short, don't go here. There's a reason Chris was in there by himself. read more

This place is great. My friend and I went one afternoon, and got ours done. The artists were very patient with what we wanted. They drew it right up and vuaaa llaaaa. This place was over all phenomenal. Out of all the places I have had piercings done, they are the best. I have had my septum, nostril, and smiley done here. They are well kept, and extremely clean. The employees know exactly what they're doing and are well focused and polite. The place is well decorated. It is not a sketchy hole-in-the-wall tattoo shop by any means. The atmosphere of this tattoo parlor is amazing. Walking in it is decorated with more of an upscale touch. Absolutely beautiful. I was so scared to get my first tattoo last year (2016). Lauren was excellent. I explained what I was looking for and she drew it up for me right there. She did an Autism Butterfly. At the touch it up appointment a month later I got another done. I absolutely love the staff here. They are always very personal with you and you just get a sense of family in this establishment. I have been pierced here and they did an amazing job, and I am getting my first tattoo soon. Adam is going to be my artist, and I couldn't ask for anyone else to do a realistic tat. My daughter and I got matching tattoos here, done by Lolly. She did an excellent job! My daughter also got a piercing, which became infected and has since closed up. I don't think it was the fault of the piercer (forgot her name), I think my daughter didn't care for it as she should have. But--our tattoos are awesome. We both get so many compliments on them! I'll definitely come here again. I had been going elsewhere, but my fave tattoo artist moved to FL and I moved to Cumming, I'm so happy to have found Underground Ink!
