We are on a road trip and needed to wash some clothes. We came here and the woman who was attending the business was so nice. We were able to get the coins we needed, buy detergent and she directed us to a washer that would best suit our needs. The place was really clean. Machines looked new and in good condition. They have wifi so easy to sit and wait on your wash. If I was in the area this would be the place I would go to wash my clothes. read more

We did laundry here when camping nearby. We travel in RV and have been to a LOT of laundromats-this was definitely one of the most expensive. But the place was clean, plenty of machines. Everything worked efficiently. They have designated machines for "oily clothes" since many oil workers in the area, which was good to see. read more

I visited this laundromat and used two washing machines. The washers here are not good in my opinion, they are the "ultra high efficiency" kind that use very little water. This is good for the business owner, but not for the customer, because clothes don't come out as clean as regular washers. Also, the washers had NO HOT WATER, even though that's one of the cycle options. I touched the water coming into the detergent/softener compartments and it was room temperature, not hot. If you don't believe me, try pressing your hand to the glass the next time you do a load of laundry, you will feel the warmth through the glass. These machines, however, had no hot water. I informed one of the employees about this issue (I didn't catch his name, but he's a black male) and he was very professional and helpful. This employee contacted the owner, and the owner refused to refund me any money. I even asked them if they could run an empty cycle to test the water temperature or something, and if it was indeed hot and I was wrong, then I would pay for the cycle, but the owner didn't offer any solution to me. Furthermore, the washers are overpriced. $4 for a small machine that barely uses any water, and cold one at that? +1 star for the professional employee that assisted me +1 star because this laundromat has sit-down tables that you can eat a meal at or study while you wash. The laundry carts also fit through the door, so you can take them all the way to your car to load/unload your clothes. Final verdict: Uncle Suds is that penny-pinching uncle that only gave you one $20 gift card (that he didn't want) in all your childhood. If you take laundry serious, don't come here. However, if you're the type that doesn't care what happens as long as they come out cleaner than they went in, then this place will do. read more

The reviewer from NY wasn't kidding - I wish laundromats were like this where I'm from. State-of-the-art washing machines that take credit/debit cards, free wifi with places to sit and work, a play area for children, and an INCREDIBLY friendly proprietor who sold us some soap after we accidentally bought fabric softener instead of detergent at a convenience store/night club (not kidding) on the way into town. The workers made sure to clean out the washers help customers in need on top of maintaining the cleanliness! Nice place! Actually, this has to be the NICEST laundromat I've ever been to.... and I've seen a LOT of 'em. Lots of GOOD machines! Lots of folding tables and laundry carts. It was very clean and roomy with plenty of places to sit. Decent, clean bathrooms ...Pleasant music playing softly overhead. They even had a small snack concession with a good assortment of low cost snacks! A very nice woman was working there as an attendant... She was very helpful showing us to the big machines (our first visit). She was very pleasant to talk to, and she seemed to enjoy her job. That may not seem like much, but it makes doing laundry not so much of a drag! Too bad I'm moving back to CA soon, 'cause I would DEFINITELY be back to this place! read more

I came here based on reviews. First it is quite a ways out of town so if you are visiting or camping it is not close to town. The building smells moldy but the washers seem clean. A small load is $ 3.50 to $4.50 depending on your wash type. I had 2 regular size baskets of clothing and had to use 4 washers. I would like to mention the attendant was out by machines and stayed busy cleaning things. read more

I came here because of all the positive reviews but I definitely didn't feel the way everyone else did. It's really dirty, the machines look clean at first glance but they smell bad and most of them are full of animal hair and it's all the same blonde dog hair in most of them. They've duct taped their floors down. Lol. There is a kids area but it has nothing but a t.v and the play mat is just as filthy as everything else. The lady followed us around like a prison guard and she acted like her laundry mat was a one of a kind wonderland and that the average person couldn't operate a washer with out her complete supervision. I arrived in Roswell after two weeks on the road and having no clean underpants or t-shirts. I didn't have much time to spare for laundry, but Google of course led me quickly to this little slice of heaven... After living in New York for 5 years and spending ever other week in laundrymats, I have never encountered one as wonderful as Lora's. I remember freshly cut sunflowers displayed all over the room, videogames, free wifi, and a place for children to watch movies. Judy, who was running the place while we were there, was so friendly and helpful to us. Not only did she sell us a cup of hypoallergenic detergent so we didn't have to go out and buy a whole bottle but we had an interesting conversation about the Roswell citizen's true feelings towards the town's UFO identity. The rest of the locals doing they laundry were incredibly warm and friendly as well. I would come back to Roswell just to do my laundry here. read more

I took my family here for Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time! The laundry lady was super cool and helpful by showing us how to remove the laces of our kid's shoes and use a separate machine. It's only about a mile from downtown so you can sneak out for an alien burger during the rinse cycle. (Good wholesome scene there too, they won't steal your kid's clothes or your floor mats while you aren't looking.)
