Consumers beware!!!! If I could give this company less than 1 star, I would. I don't even know where to begin with the horrible "service" provided by this company!
We moved from New Orleans to New Hampshire. We had several conversations with Mike in the months leading up to the move. Each time, he would change plans or simply forget to call.
He initially scheduled packers to come to the house (to box up our belongings) 2 days prior to the official moving day. The week prior to the move, however, he changed this to THE DAY OF the move.
The packers were careless and haphazard. Many items that were boxed, broke in transit (a cross and iHome/alarm clock to name a few). The packers forgot to box up a coat closet and the laundry room. So, Mike and his crew took it upon themselves to throw my child's clothes / toys, along with a pretty full laundry detergent bottle, into the patio deckbox (which also had all of our gardening tools and weed wacker). The laundry detergent spilled all over everything inside the deckbox so, needless to say, every thing needed to be hosed off/laundered.
On the day our belongings were scheduled to arrive, Mike said he would arrive around 12 pm - he didn't arrive until 5:30 pm.
He didn't bother to cover the mattress in our guest bedroom (claiming that he was never told that the bed was coming. He was. More than once.) In fact, they left the fitted sheet on the guest bed mattress, which got ripped up in transit, along with the padded mattress protector.
They threw our belongings around, breaking things along the way. They broke a light bulb in my ceiling fan while attempting to place the mattress on the bed and tried for over 30 minutes (to no avail) to get it out with pliers... I'm not able to get the broken bulb out now.
At one point, Mike asked me to help him put my child's bed together... after seeing the condition he was in (he claimed he was exhausted/sleep deprived... I suspect it was something else and I will let you infer on what that might be), I didn't feel comfortable with him even trying to put the bed together. I told him not to bother - that I would do it with my husband.
Before they started unloading the truck, Mike advised that there were several of our boxes still in Louisiana that did not fit on the truck. He assured us that he would FedEx them on Wednesday. We called him Wednesday - he assured that the boxes would be sent out that evening. We called Thursday to confirm - he advised that he had not sent them out yet but that it would be done that day. On Friday, he was unresponsive. He didn't pick up any of our calls or return any of our texts. I finally called him using my work's Vonage app (which has a local New Orleans area code) and he promptly picked up. I had to threaten to call the cops and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau if he didn't send me proof that the boxes were sent out by 10 AM on Saturday morning (I got the confirmation text at 9:58 AM with tracking numbers and photos of our boxes).
I still have several items that never made it to the house (a cast iron skillet, a sentimental decorative cross, and several glass pyrex food storage containers, carpet runner, umbrella stand, and miscellaneous/sundry kitchenware).
They kept apologizing for breaking things and being wreckless. If your movers have to repeatedly apologize, there's something wrong!!!!
I received a call from Mike within an hour of me posting a review on Google threatening to call his attorney if I didn't remove my post... Every encounter we have had with this company has been dishonest and deceitful. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THEM AS YOU CAN!!! read more
