Stopped in after church for lunch. Not too busy inside. We were greeted early and seated in a booth immediately. Our server came to our booth right away and took our drink order. We both ordered a Skinny Margarita which tasted great. The Tortilla Soup thatI ordered came out not quite hot enough. Our server was gracious, apologized and took it back to the kitchen. The replacement was hot and very good. My wife ordered the Pulled Chicken Bowl and it was excellent. Steaming hot and full of flavor. It's a very nice atmosphere and we had a booth that was very close to where they make the in-house tortillas. That's quite a fascinating little process to watch.

Chicken fajitas and Quesa-Birria in the background. Gotta try the Birria. They are wonderful!

Everything I had was top notch. Chicken fajitas were good although I would like to see the chicken into smaller pieces instead of getting a half breast in one piece. The appetizer was outstanding and I would highly recommend it to everyone. I had the Quesa-Burria and it was amazing! The dip for it was out of this world. However, all of this outstanding food was not the highlight. I sat in the bar area and Sebastian was my host. He was on top of everything all night long. Before I finished my salsa he was delivering another one. I didn't have to ask for a thing. The best service I have had in months. He is outstanding!

We noticed this spot while driving along 169 and got a little excited! We are familiar with the Dallas location and knowing there is a spot close to Arkansas was fun! The food was good for sure. The only thing I would recommend is to include some salt and pepper on the table. The table guac we ordered needed a little salt for sure. Other than that everything was great!

The food was good!! It is more expensive than other Mexican restaurants but you do have a pretty good experience dining here! I did wish the taco Tuesday came with at least Mexican rice or beans but it didn't. I did not like the salsa as much as well. Our service had some issues with the kiosk system.

Taco Tuesdays are such a great treat at Uncle Julio's! In addition to their happy hour specials, on Tuesdays they do Taco Tuesdays. It is a lazy Susan that comes with taco meat of your choice and then all the fixings! Ours was just for 2, but I've seen whole tables order it! They make fresh tortillas on-site (YUMM) which pairs well with their homemade salsa! We sat in the bar area and it was great! Not too loud or crowded.

Would I go back? Not unless it was for happy hour. We went with a large party and enjoyed the use of their private room. Our waiter was flustered and in a bad mood the whole time. He seemed bothered we were there. I know some people love the food here but it wasn't for me. Everything was overly salty or spicy. I prefer Tex mex myself. Cocktails were delicious though! Also, they didn't have the shades pulled so we were blinded until the sun went down.

First, I definitely recommend getting their watermelon margarita! Their house margarita was good too. I got their quesadillas which I thought were good. Our server was very friendly!

This was a great dining experience! The food was tremendous. We went with the pulled chicken bowl and the pulled chicken tacos. The guacamole and drinks are always top notch!

Very impressed with this location! Outstanding service and great quality food. We came on Father's Day and had a great lunch. we were seated at our request in a booth. It had comfy bottom and back padding. Water was brought immediately to the table and the server (Taryn) continuously came by to make sure our drinks, chips, and salsa were full. She also asked repeatedly if she could get us anything throughout the dinning experience. She was very kind and engaged in friendly conversation with our 6 year old daughter. Top Notch Server!!!! The manager came by and wished me a happy father's day and inquired about our visit and if we needed anything. Very positive vibes from all staff from time we entered to the time we left. The food was well flavored with lots of spice. All fresh and crisp from the chips, the taco, and enchiladas. Would definitely recommend getting the charro beans as the beans, meat, and flavoring created one of the best charro beans I have ever had and I live in Texas. My daughter loved her kids meal and it was way more food than she could eat. The ambiance was very nice with a darker dinning experience offset with lighting that lit up your booth/seat. I felt the music was a tad on the loud side but did not interfere with table conversation like some other restaurants (ex. TX Roadhouse)

    La Paloma

Well, let me just say that the food was subpar!!! The rice was stale and cold with a very burnt taste. The Paloma was absolutely awful. My son's fajitas only had 3 pieces of beef that tasted like teriyaki and 4 pieces of chicken that were super dry! Jordan , our server, was very nonchalant and curt. They messed our order up & when I told her she said, "Yeah, yeah I know. " then proceeded to walk away. We were a party of five and two of the orders were messed up. Won't be back!!! The atmosphere was nice, but don't let it fool you.

As a first timer to Uncle Julio's, I was not disappointed. In terms of food, this is the area where Uncle Julio's truly shined. It has a great bar area and the server was super helpful. I tried the recommended crab and shrimp enchiladas plate, and it was no disappointment either. The meat in the enchiladas just melted in your mouth. I truly have no idea how they were able to make it so soft. Comparing to other similar restaurants in the area, Uncle Julio's is more expensive, with some entrees run up to $30+. Even regular Mexican entrees are pricier than other restaurants. Chips and salsa are great but these are stable items of any Tex-Mex restaurants. Uncle Julio's offers the habanero sauce if requested for extra spice in your food, an instant favorite feature for me. Friday night, the restaurant is usually busy. Weekdays are less busy though. Overall, a good Tex-Mex restaurant that may be worth coming back because of great food.

We heard great things about Uncle Julio's. We finally made a trip there to see if everyone was right. My husband ordered the El Hefe Margarita which was good. I ordered the Grand Julio Margarita which was also good. We try the Queso Blanco with ground beef which my family loved and I enjoyed the salsa. The salsa has a nice mesquite taste. My daughters ordered the kid's quesadilla which they enjoyed. My husband and I both ordered the chicken tortilla bowl. Overall it was good and we will be back. Ambience was fun and they played good music. Service was friendly and fast!

We tried out Uncle Julio's for a Friday night dinner. It was extremely busy, but the hostess and our server were attentive and friendly. The drinks were aesthetic and absolutely delicious. This was everyone's favorite part about the dining experience. We enjoyed the queso and guacamole as appetizers - both were tasty and I would 10/10 recommend. However, we agreed that our main courses were just okay - standard Tex Mex. If you're in the Tulsa area, you should definitely give Uncle Julio's a try.

There's a parking lot in this plaza, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. They offered complementary chips and dips (salsa and queso). We ordered additional guac. Really good and would order again. Rice and beans were probably above average. My dining partner asked how the chile relleno was prepared. (He doesn't like the eggy batter.) We were literally told that it came premade and frozen and was "just fried." Obviously, he ordered the street tacos instead. We sat at the bar and it took a bit to get waited on but the manager jumped in and gave us water and silverware. I liked my Blackberry-Rosemary Marg but I honestly didn't feel like it had much tequila in it. The regular marg was just OK. Since it is a tequila bar and we sat at the bar, I would have liked to have discussed tequilas but my bad for not asking. Would have loved to have done a tasting. The menu was informative. I would go back when in south Tulsa. Not sure I would make it a destination. (Well, maybe. Those enchiladas were good! It is a cute place.

As what was stated over the phone, the moment we walked in, we were seated. The place is very intimate in space, I'd recommend for dates. I went with the Enchiladas, something I've been craving for a couple of months & La Tertulia helped that fix. There were a few meats to choose from & I went with chorizo. The wait on the food wasn't long (people were starting to fill in as well & it didn't stop the servers from being on point) & the food was really good. Coming in with 3 enchiladas, stuffed with the chorizo & the fixins, I was left full after I finished. The spanish rice & pinto beans were good as well, paired good with the enchiladas. The chorizo looked more like breakfast sausage more than the chorizo that's more on the dark brown + reddish tint I'm used too. The enchiladas also come with chiles (I picked green) & plenty of cheese. Side Note: Chips & salsa were also super good, my favorite type of salsa. Kinda like a Taquera/Molcajete style. I was so hungry that the chips & salsa didn't slow me down from running through my main entree.

It's not a large place and only has perhaps four or five booths and a half-dozen tables, and it fills up fast at lunch.
