If I'm paying extra to have them cleaned I don't expect the apron attached and damn near all the gills still in tact. Please take all of that off otherwise all you've done is pop the shell. I drive past Binzini's all the time and decided to finally check them out since they have been around for years. My unusual experience started before I even arrived. I searched Google and Yelp high and low for a working phone number to place an order in advance, but the listed numbers did not work. When I walked in around 5:30 pm, I asked the owner about the online phone number debacle. He explained that due to spam calls, they intentionally do not list their number online. Instead, they expect customers to physically come in, read the handwritten signs on the wall, and write the number down for future use. For a modern business, this is a very strange and inconvenient practice. The odd business practices didn't stop there. I happened to visit on a Thursday, which features a half-price fried shrimp special. Perfect timing, but when I tried to order fries, they were already sold out. I also noticed a large poster menu listing steaks, hoagies, burgers, and seafood platters. When I asked if those were available, the owner said they normally are, but because they were short-staffed and only had one chef that day, they were strictly serving fried shrimp. Having been back since, I only ever see people getting the Thursday shrimp special, so I highly doubt the other menu items are ever actually available.
