We were hoping for something more…read more The place was easy to find and had a lot of parking for it being on that part of the island. They have a banner on the outside of the building that gave a good photo backdrop to match the pirate themed room. We booked a 12:45 "Lost Treasure of Topsail" room and got there a little early to use the bathrooms before we started. The bathroom was nice and clean, and the employee was very friendly. We were told we had to lock our phones up in the lobby area so it did not interfere with the technology in the room, but then they gave us an iPad to use in it. The iPad was used to unlock the room and start the clock, but that was about the extent of the technology that was used in the room. Without giving away any clues, I'll just say we were not impressed with any of the puzzles, it felt as if all but one puzzle was controlled by the host and not by actually triggering an opening. We've done a ton of escape rooms over the years, and while this gave us something to do to escape the hottest part of the day, I don't see us doing the "Lost Treasure of Topsail" room again. Hopefully the other room and the outside escape are better and something we could try later on.

We did Conjurer's Dungeon and escaped with just two people with 4 minutes and change to spare. I've done multiple escape rooms all over and this one will stay in my memory. I've come across some new things that I haven't seen in other rooms yet and that always helps a place stand out for me. This was a fun theme and if I am ever back in the area I will try another room. Also, since we traveled there for work, Steve stayed open later to accommodate our work schedule. Thanks for the great customer service and a great way to end our trip!

Overall it was a good experience…read more Start times are staggered for different rooms so you don't have to interact with other groups. There's a large waiting area with a bathroom and a puzzle for while you wait. The staff was very friendly and explained the rules well. One of the locks in our room didn't open so they paused our game time while they came and opened it, so it didn't affect our time. I was not at all a fan of the "group" clue we had in our "New Blood, New World" room, hopefully they don't have something like that in every game cause it totally killed the experience!!! (That's the only reason they didn't get five stars) We escaped the room with time to spare and got a button with our picture taken at the end. If we're back in the area again we will definitely have to try a different room.

For some reason, I thought it would be kind of horror based, but just excited to see that it's more clues and sleuthing than thriller. The employees were very nice too! There were four people in total that came with for this event, and the owner was very kind to let us change our original times due to night shifts.
