Large dog friendly patio! I went there with my human and they loved the cold brew on tap, I'm not allowed to drink coffee but it was spacious & plenty of room for fur friends. My dog pal Winnie enjoys coming here as well, you could even fall asleep on the patio haha. They recently had a collab pawty with HIT Living Dog Rescue--apparently there were many pups attending, so you know space is not an issue. Unbound Brews gets a paws up in my book!

$1 Off because I brought my own mug!

So I looked for a coffee spot closer to the restaurant at which I could do some work. Alibi Coffee is only 10-15 minutes from the restaurant, which made it a good candidate--and off I went. It sits on the corner of Washington and Raymond Avenue. While there's one-hour parking on Washington, Raymond seems to offer unlimited parking (other than street cleaning days)--the friendly, helpful barista directed me over there. Inside, it's a tranquil, clean and comfortable environment that mixes contemporary touches with brick industrial vibes. I'm in my cream top era, so I decided to get their Trademark Cream Top Latte, which uses cold brew and house made cream with a hint of brown sugar. The drink was smooth and not too sweet and, all in all, extremely enjoyable. Next time, I might try the Salted Caramel Cream Top Latte. I was warned it was a bit sweeter, but I'd like to see for myself. Wi-Fi seems solid, and there are plenty of outlets (yay!), so this was a great work spot. I'd definitely return anytime I needed to be in this area.

She got into a great conversation with the barista. The barista definitely knows his stuff. They were comparing different coffee shops and discussing the different notes in their beans. My cousin takes her coffee seriously and she was really impressed! I myself went with a flat white. You can definitely tell that their coffee quality is top notch. What I really do appreciate is the fact that their baristas is so knowledgable and really does have a passion for coffee. My cousin said it's not very common to find in coffee shops. She gave me a whole ted talk on why the coffee here is really good. Definitely come here if you want some good quality coffee and a barista who is happy to chat about it!

The place is so beautiful and it's such a vibe to just be there. I am amazed at how much detail went to the shop. The couches are nice and the staff is friendly. My problem is with the coffee. I was left wanting a different flavor than I expected. For context it was a Sunday morning so it might've been busy. But I ordered a flat white and it tasted like filtered water with a dash of coffee. There was absolutely no flavor and could barely taste the coffee. Maybe I don't know coffee well but I've been to tons of coffee shops in the west side and this is for sure one of the ones I was disappointed by. I'm willing to give the place a second chance but not sure.

Andante was nearby and in my bookmarks, so we walked over. The store is very small, no seating except for a few chairs right outside. Definitely a grab and go spot. There was one barista doing everything and boy was he hustling hard! I ordered the andante (somehow still in my cream top phase) and my fiance got Ethiopia pour over. Prices were exceptional - to the point where we both agreed that their price for a pour over is significantly lower than a lot of other roasters out there. My drink was smooth, creamy, and could really taste the maple syrup come through from the sweet cold brew. Wish I got a sip of the pour over before someone inhaled theirs, but he did say he liked this coffee better than Kumquat! gasp. One of my favorite coffee shops we've visited recently. Kinda wish we grabbed a bag of beans too.. but will definitely be back!
