    Horrible customer service, nothing is ever their fault and they don't care to help when there is a…read moreproblem they just give you a 1-800 number which leads to a recorded voice message not a real person.. Not all their employees are rude but there are a few with bad people skills and this acceptable by Kathrine the bank manager.. The bank manager is the worse (Kathrine), she is horrible and doesn't care about you as a customer.. She will not help and says it's not their fault, for example our mortage lender switch to a different company and we had already sent a check for the $1,250 to the old company so we called our bank to cancel that check (we talked to Kathrine) about canceling it. We gave her all the info to have check stopped (amount, check number, company it was made out too....) We thought everything was good until the $1,250 went through to pay our new lenders and also the check we thought should have been stopped also went through for $1,250 to pay the old lender.. We had paid $35 to have that check stopped they still let it go through.. So I went to the bank to have them stop the check and to have them replace the $1,250.. The whole time Kathrine was saying that wasn't their fault and then she tried to tell me they didn't need to put back the $1,250 because it was a wash.. Um no there was a total of $2,500 taken out of my account when that check should have been stopped and there should have only been $1,250 taking our for my mortgage.. I had to argue for an hour with her it took a whole to get my money replaced and they wouldn't even give us the $35 back for the check cancelation fee even though they didn't stop the check.. Kathrine tried to tell me it was our fault because we didn't put the right amount on the cancelation request... Um lets see the amount was off 1 cent (1 penny), we didn't fill out the request (Kathrine did) she took the information over the phone (she entered in the information wrong not us).. But yet some how it was our fault.. This is just one out of 3 examples of incident I have had with them.. Please take your money somewhere else.. They are very rude.. I have also tried to ask for Katherine's manager number and she refuses to give it to me and gives a 1-800 number instead do she knows I can't reach an actual person to make a complaint... I do not think this place even deserves one star but you have to put it..

    I've been a member of this bank for years. Way back when it was Robabank. From the moment I walk in…read moreI'm always greated with a smile and my first name. The staff make it very easy for me when I'm there. They all have very good memories because I never need to tell them my long difficult name for my transactions. It's seems they have already got my account pulled up before I get to the counter. Service is super fast. Usually there is no line when I come in, but on days when they're real busy I have noticed that they are very fast and efficient at the same time being very polite and smiling. The staff should all be getting metals or blue ribbons for their customer care. This is the first bank in my life where I actually look forward to their warmth that their smiles and good cheer bring. I'm happy to call them all a friend. Also too, I've had to make some wire transfers which were a considerable amount of money. Before they started the transfer the did background checks on the establishment to make sure everything was on the up and up. There was one time I received a check I was told was good because I was selling my car. When I brought the check to the counter B.J., one of the gals there noticed something funny about the check and brought it to management. They did some searching on my behalf and found out that the bank the check was drawn on never even existed. It was a bogus check. Ultimately, saving me from getting scammed. I owe a lot of thanks to Bre, Shaynee, B.J., Courtney and others for their attention to detail. And for always making me feel welcomed. After my visit with the bank I'm always energized a bit from the smiles and laughs I experienced. The overall experience for me is that I prefer to go in the bank because of them, rather than using the ATM on the side. Again, they all deserve brownies and flowers for the five star service they provide. I only wish other businesses had people like this working for them. The world would be a better place because of it. Finally, thank you to all the ladies that have shown me kindness and patience. I hope this Yelp review reaches all of you and reaches you well.     Today I got notice Golden 1 CU was looking for feed back since you asked here it is…read more You closed my checking account without my consent and I am primary account holder. My soon to be ex wife took all the money from that account and closed it without my consent. You (G1) allowed her to do that. I worked in finance for 30 years so let me tell you what you (G1) did. In California a financial institution can't close an account by law until you have let all account holders in writing acknowledge that account is closed. Only the primary borrower has authority to initiate closing an account. What you (G1) did with me is you closed an account that was court ordered so we in process of our divorce could pay bills from that account. You interjected yourself (G1) into my divorce proceedings in allowing her to commit a felony and steal my pension. Topping that off here it's a week later and I still haven't been notified by you that account is closed. Instead I get a solicitation E mail wanting more business from me. I have spoken to several people at G1 about this and no-one acknowledging this was wrong and in violation of the law. No-One and I repeat no-one should do business with a financial institution that does not adhere to the laws of California.
