I was in a terrible predicament as to where my place was going to go up for auction if I didn't act quickly with payment. I made a time sensitive banking error so I was panicked. I called the Kingsbury grade branch and he referred me back to my home branch in Pollock Pines. I explained my situation over the phone and they told me to come in that afternoon and they would have everything taken care of so the worst did not happen. They were true to their word and everything went smoothly. Also when you go into the branch everyone there is very helpful and courteous.

It's a concept but Maybe train your tellers? Took me a few times to get answers when my account was compromised of $15,000. That was amazing for me. Wanted me to go to the Sheriffs Dept, which I did and they basically said there was nothing they could do. I finally got the monies back in my account but that much money is a lot to worry about. It did get back into my account by a guy that worked for golden 1but wasn't a regular employee there (the one in Placerville off Missouri Flat)...He knew exactly what to do! That was the best anyone can do when you've waited more than a minute worrying if it was going back into your account.

Since it happens to be the only game in town, we decided on El Dorado Savings Bank. We started out making a small deposit to become established. After a short while our confidence grew, and we transferred over more into our savings and opened a safe deposit box. What a delight to be greeted with a smile and people know your name! The entire staff is friendly and professional. The absolute best part is this bank is dog friendly. On a late summer hot day we stopped in to do some business. We had all four of our dogs with us and I was dismayed that they needed both of us to complete paperwork. When Mr. S explained we didn't want to leave the dogs in the hot car, they invited them to come on in. It's one thing to bring one dog with you everywhere you go but seldom do we bring all of them and have them welcomed and fawned over. I love this bank!

Put your money in credit unions if you can, big banks, and particularly low I.Q. employees don't deserve your business. I've been a member of this bank for years. Way back when it was Robabank. From the moment I walk in…read moreI'm always greated with a smile and my first name. The staff make it very easy for me when I'm there. They all have very good memories because I never need to tell them my long difficult name for my transactions. It's seems they have already got my account pulled up before I get to the counter. Service is super fast. Usually there is no line when I come in, but on days when they're real busy I have noticed that they are very fast and efficient at the same time being very polite and smiling. The staff should all be getting metals or blue ribbons for their customer care. This is the first bank in my life where I actually look forward to their warmth that their smiles and good cheer bring. I'm happy to call them all a friend. Also too, I've had to make some wire transfers which were a considerable amount of money. Before they started the transfer the did background checks on the establishment to make sure everything was on the up and up. There was one time I received a check I was told was good because I was selling my car. When I brought the check to the counter B.J., one of the gals there noticed something funny about the check and brought it to management. They did some searching on my behalf and found out that the bank the check was drawn on never even existed. It was a bogus check. Ultimately, saving me from getting scammed. I owe a lot of thanks to Bre, Shaynee, B.J., Courtney and others for their attention to detail. And for always making me feel welcomed. After my visit with the bank I'm always energized a bit from the smiles and laughs I experienced. The overall experience for me is that I prefer to go in the bank because of them, rather than using the ATM on the side. Again, they all deserve brownies and flowers for the five star service they provide. I only wish other businesses had people like this working for them.
