Absolutely the Worlds Worst Bank! I should of known when…read moresomeone names a bank "The World's Greatest" without earning it would be a mistake. I had a business account which had an unauthorized $2050 charge. I went in to the bank right away to deal w Cory the manager to tell them it's fraud. What does Umpqua say? Two months later they send me the receipt with a hand entered credit card without my signature! Two Months! You kidding me! I dealt w Cory, another guy Jon Stockton who was even more useless, then I dealt with Sandra Buchannan who after two months of poor service she was a VP and there is no one else to talk too. I highly recommend not using this bank, a total joke for service and management is outright incompetent and rude. Worlds Worst Bank!

The employees have always been a pleasure to deal with, and I never felt that this bank was trying to take advantage of me, or suck my money one "service charge" or "convenience fee" at a time. I absolutely detest banks that try to nickle and dime you, and these folks have never done that. On a few occasions over the years, I've had some moderate snafu's with my accounts. The customer service folks happily worked hard to straighten everything out for me. I really felt that the CSR wanted to get everything fully rectified. Instead of blaming me for the mistakes and then telling me why I was penalized (a common tactic with big banks and their CSR's) they instead got to the bottom of the problem and did their best to make it all go away. I like that. Thank you Eldo.

If there's ever a problem, for example an overdraft or a suspicious transaction or I leave my card in the ATM, I get a personal call from Sherry to discuss...no more hidden fees or unexpected gouging! It sounds corny, but they truly do make my banking a pleasure... p.s. and to top it all off, free cookies and lemonade on Friday!

Five stars for Amy Funes at United Federal Credit Union - Carson City North. My wife and I live in…read moreLittle Rock, Arkansas, and Amy handled my auto loan for our new 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander. From the beginning, she was responsive, professional and genuinely interested in helping us. She never made me feel like I was dealing with a faceless financial institution--she became my person at UFCU. The real test came when our car delivery was delayed and, at the last minute, our dealership located another vehicle for us. We needed the loan check overnighted to the dealership before we left on a long-planned trip. Unfortunately, the UFCU branch handling the shipment failed to get the check to UPS on time, and the delivery date suddenly became the day after we were scheduled to leave. Amy was in Nevada. The problem occurred at an Arkansas branch. None of it was her fault. She could have simply told me the check was on its way and there was nothing she could do. Instead, she jumped into action, explored every option, personally contacted our Toyota salesman, provided documentation that the loan was approved and the funds were coming, and helped coordinate a solution that allowed the dealership to release our car before receiving the physical check. That made the difference between making our trip in our new vehicle and leaving without it. I've spent much of my career working with organizations and evaluating people and performance, and I know the difference between someone who is simply competent and someone who takes genuine ownership of a customer's outcome. Amy is the latter. She didn't create the problem. She simply refused to let someone else's problem become my problem. Adversity doesn't build character; it reveals it. Amy's character is top notch. UFCU should be very proud to have her representing the organization. She earned my loyalty, and I am very happy to tell others about her.

Fortunately, many of the same employees stayed there through all of the transitions, which made it nice because I didn't have to reestablish relationships. I love this bank because it's local, they know your name when you call or come in . They're very professional and extremely knowledgeable in banking. I would like to reference the manager, Rick, who is exceptional, friendly helpful and always there, If something comes up that needs an answer. I love working with Lyric and Emily, especially after my husband passed away, and there were so many things that had to be taken care of with relationship to my bank accounts. I love the fact that I can call them and talk on the phone. They know who I am talking f I have any questions or need information. Many of the banks in Carson City treat you like numbers, they don't know who you are. They don't form personal relationships with you, At least that was my experience with helping friends with their banking situations . Every year they have a customer appreciation event with food which is very nice to be treated so well. Lastly there's always chocolate or some kind of candy and bottles of water, that's not the only reason I bank there, but I can tell you it certainly is nice to have a treat while you're waiting for your transaction to be taken care of. Congratulations Plumas bank on having such exceptional employees, 23 years with me as a customer and still going.

Lets put it this way; I'm a long time customer and a "well seasoned" borrower of Loan stores. I…read morehave ran into financial difficulties in past, one of which I lost everything and was in transition living in hotels and seeking medical attention and looking for affordable housing. I was forced to move to where the treatments were and lowest rentals were, including during the COVID crisis. It was a double whammy on me physically, mentally, spiritually and yes, financially. And after my devastating losses, including my health due to The Paradise CA Fire, of Nov 8, 2018, Dollar Loan has always been there to help me through these years of coming up short financially. Now hear this truth, some persons are irresponsible and some are really in need. In this case I went back to Dollar Loan, not because I really needed it, but it's the holiday season and I'm splurging because I'm getting a pay raise next month that will cover at least 1/2 of the payment. I figured it out for my budget first. So I can now justify using Dollar Loan for a Christmas loan. They deserve my business because they were so good to me in the past. Now, I would not recommend that anyone should carry out the full one year contract. Know your daily interest and try to stay ahead by making extra payments when you can. I learned this from past, and it gives you additional freed up credit that you can draw from if needed in future. Keep in mind that you can not be charged interest before it is due which is daily in this case. Don't look at all the interest charged on the contract. That's only if you carry it out all the way. When you pay it down more as you can, then you'll owe less. Most other Loan Companies in this area will not give you a long time to pay. Usually only three months. In this case, Dollar loan wins the day by allowing a longer time to pay, therefore the monthly payment is lower. This gives time. Time is everything when paying back. Now you have the opportunity to play catch-up, since you have smaller payments that fit your budget. You get it? Now you have the scoop. The loan process is nearly effortless. Have your income letters or proof available to upload or show them in person and a picture ID. The other info is very little. This store has especially professional and kind persons working at it. They will push to get what you need. Kristina was my loan assistant. So kind and easy to communicate with. Of course we give management credit as well. They are the ones who will ultimately approve or disapprove, the transaction. So dare not hide anything about your credit rating or other possible loans. Nevada laws permit them to see it and they will know. Anyways, Thank you for not flushing me, and Happy Holidays to ALL!
