I have been with Umpqua for over ten years. Umpqua has been a thorn in my finances. They limited my down payment for a new car, even though I had more than enough money to buy the car out right. When I needed a loan for a property, it took them over a month to even contact me (I contacted them in person and by phone multiple times). I had way more than sufficient funds to cover the checks. I tried to get Umpqua to cover the cost of $30 and they said the checks are not associated with one of your accounts. I am wondering why they gave me the checks in the first place. I feel like checks given by a bank should not expire. Apparently I am not worth more than $30 as a customer. The teller at Umpqua in Lincoln said, "looks like you will just have to eat the $30." read more
