Recently I came here with a friend to try something new. We came here around 6pm on a Friday night and it definitely did get crowded pretty quickly. Thankfully we were able to get seats since it was only two of us. The place itself had alot of seats and i did like to atmosphere and the look. Even though there were alot of people it wasn't loud and can hear eachother talk. We did have a small table next to this purple ish light (sorry for the photos the lamp didn't really help but the food was pretty). The waitress was very friendly and helpful. My friend who has a glutten allergy had alot of questions but the waitress was patient and made sure to offer her good options. I ordered a 'mango delight roll' which had snowcrab, mango which didn't sound good at first. However, after I tried it turned out to be delicious. It wasn't overpowering with fish or sweetness but the mango was light and complimented the roll well. Definitely worth a try. I also ordered a sushi pizza which was also good. Although I see it more as sushi nachos as the ingredients were on a chip, it was good overall. My friend ordered a shaggy roll which was also good. Since it had shrimp tempura she asked if she can substitute it with another meat like crap or shrimp not fried and the waitress was able to accommodate that which was even better. We did have a few appetizers as well. Usually I dont really like mussels but was suggested to try their popular item the New Zealand Mussels. It was actually really good. Loved the seasoning and sauces they used and looked very pretty. Their seaweed salad is also worth trying if you get the chance. Overall it was a great experience and enjoyed my time here. I definitely recommend any sushi lover to come try this place. Be aware this is a buffet so make sure to confirm the price (lunch and dinner are different) and also don't order too much. If you dont eat it all or leave a lot of food you could be charged extra so pace yourself.

We've been here a number of times, but always have a positive experience. The staff was really friendly and attentive. The food was delicious as always the salmon Nigiri was probably the best, definitely we'll be coming back. We've had a five out of five experience every time. They even made our sins a cool personalized scoop of ice cream

Best sushi in San Antonio. I should know... I was forwarded deployed with the US Navy on the USS CUSHING DD 985 stationed in Yokosuka Japan for two years. Shaggy roll and Texas roll. Delicious. Mouth watering. Muy savoroso. Fried rice only second best to Golden Wok. Teriyaki appetizers, delish. Atmosphere . Cloud nine on top of Mt. Fuji. BONSAI!!!!!

Umiya Sushi is a good spot for the lunch buffet, especially when dining with a group. There's a good variety of sushi and other Japanese dishes, so everyone can find something they like. Dishes come out fast and are very well displayed. The service is friendly and attentive, and the staff does a nice job keeping things moving without rushing you. The ambiance is casual and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy a meal together.

Always skeptical of all you can eat but this place BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER!!!!!! Sushi is fresh and not skimped on w toppings and sauces. The portions were great! Everything came out so fast and warm if it was supposed to be! Our server Vania was 10/10! So kind with our big group. LOVE that you order with a person and not a piece of paper. Absolutely would recommend. The price for dinner is like $30 per person but it was sooooo worth it. Note only took a few photos bc I was EATING

Service was good and efficient. The place was cool and clean and fun. All food ordered which was numerous times came in a timely manner. And came hot when needed. I came for dinner with family. So much to choose from on their menu. Definitely can't wait to come back especially for the tempura shrimp. Start with 2 orders is my tip! Haha

AYCE Totally worth it. They bring the food to you. It's not a buffet. I appreciate that greatly. I don't like others touching my food. The servers are so friendly, and helpful. They take their time & answer questions about the food & drinks. They'll also take the time to help you open the bottles if needed. #iykyk Try the strawberry soda. I think my two favorite rolls are the Lexington & the Harbor Rolls. The Lexington is a warm sushi roll, while the Harbor Roll is not,but it is loaded! I can promise you will need a nap after eating here. I have not had a single bad roll yet. I have come two weekends in a row now. Absolutely wonderful staff & exceptional food. I'll continue to come back. They're expanding here in town, & in 2026 they'll be opening one off of 151. Now, to get them to being one to Brooks City Base area.

In the mood for sushi, decided to check this place out. We opted to sit at the bar as there was a wait for a table. Our bartender was Juan. He was attentive and friendly drinks were always refilled and Juan made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. I took off a star due to the long wait it took for some of our orders to come out. It is all you can eat, but it took about 15-20 minutes to get our orders of sushi after each round. I would come back as the sushi was great quality and tasted amazing! I will try their lunch next time as it was about $10 cheaper than dinner.

If you ever want to experience the cuisine on a Caribbean cruise, but are concerned about getting seasick, then I have just the place for you, Umiya Sushi Seafood! Umiya is a one price "all you can eat" restaurant with a wide selection of menu options to choose from including various appetizers, Hibachi, Teriyaki, Tempura, Sashimi, Sushi rolls and a few desserts to complete the meal. I compare the experience to a cruise ship as the taste is similar to what you will find when feeding the masses. Good, not great, but I was not expecting much more, so no huge surprise. It's a good place to try a variety of different foods without worrying about an out of control bill at the end of the night. The service is outstanding and the waitstaff are literally power walking from the table to table. Even though the food is prepared freshly, it comes to you fairly quickly which means they can turnover customers at a fast pace. Besides for the entryway and the giant Hello Kitty near the front door, the decor is geared towards families and birthday parties. Because of the fast pace of the workers, you do feel a bit rushed to eat and move on even though you are not pressured from staff to do so.

Honestly the best bang for your buck AYCE sushi spot in SA. Sashimi isn't always the freshest but they have the best appetizers, hand rolls, and overall variety in menu selection for an AYCE sushi place. Consistently solid and the dim lighting makes it a nice casual dining place. Service has also always been very fast and attentive every time I've gone.

Asian food was surprisingly good by Texas standards... coming from an Asian-American who is based in SoCal and went to school in NorCal... ermmmm. also, the fried ice cream Oreo cookies whatever was not worth trying because the saltiness overpowered the comforting sweetness of a yummy dessert. servers were nice and quick with the guidelines of how the AYCE dining experience would work. came with a big group of 10 people, but these waiters and waitresses were quick to clean our table and serve us up with the next dish that we ordered. very tight set-up with chairs and tables because you could barely get through the rows. not surprising considering how sought-after this place is for newcomers to San Antonio. the cheap AYCE of $25 is enough of a reason to wait in a line of 30 minutes (I.e. You did walk-in instead of reservation). this place did not rush you to get out, though, so makes sense for the wait! if you want to take a break while dining, you can even walk around outside to make more room for the food. I jokingly made that suggestion before I ordered, and the staff was accommodating about it. I ended up eating like 7 plates of sushi :P

Came on a Friday for lunch and was seated quickly. They have all you can eat, plus Indian lunch specials and roll orders. We opted for the all you can eat in order to try a bigger variety. The price was on-par with other places we have visited. I recommend this place for the vibes, variety, and presentation. It is one of the better sushi AYCE and everything is made-to-order. Notice that there is a LOT of rice in the sushi orders so plan accordingly. However, once seated, no one greeted us for at least 5 minutes and many waitstaff walked by without so much as a greeting. I walked back to the front to ask for a reseat or assistance and was advised by the manager that I would get moved. As I walked back to my seat, I was greeted by our waitress. We were reseated near the top of the sushi area and had a waitress come without a few minutes. There was no menu given to us and no greeting or asking if we had ever been to the restaurant, etc. I suppose I am used to basic customer service skills and perhaps asking for too much. However, our waitress was efficient and took our orders in a timely manner. The menu is extension and note that there is no sashimi option on the all you can eat buffet. We tried sushi, rolls, appetizers. The food tasted good with mostly fresh-tasting fish. The eel was slightly softer than what I've had at other places. The salmon had a texture slightly softer and less flavorful than expected. However, everything was presented well. The rice in the sushi was fresh on our first order and slightly harder and more tightly pinched in our second. The strawberry ice cream tasted light and the green tea was flavorful, albeit a little more on the bitter side. The ice creams were not as creamy as some other places I have tried. The ambience was amazing with beautiful lights, decorations, and a nice and airy feel. They also had a sushi bar in the back along with an alcoholic bar. Very fun and beautiful vibes.

They go all out for birthdays! It may take a while to be seated but the kitchen is so quick with the actual rolls and apps! Great value.

For ramen, I recommend the "red" Aka Fuku. For udon noodles, the tofu was delicious as well if you need a vegetarian option. There is a small kids' menu and other non-noodles traditional Japanese dishes available as well. For drinks, there are the standard soft drink options, hot teas(or cold), beer, and wine. The atmosphere is very casual, but not to the point of feeling like a rushed lunch hour. It was not very crowded on our visit, but I noticed they probably get more to-go orders than seated service. Hoka Hoka Fuku is an excellent choice in the area if you're looking to have Japanese food. I can't wait to go back and try this place for dinner.

Delicious rich broth and added some sriracha for a kick. Ramen noodles were ok, but would have preferred my fave, udon. I just love the thicker noodles.
