So far only three stars though she is pleasant enough. She has not helped me yet and I don't know…read morethat she will as she is not thinking outside the box but just trying to put me in one.. Still, she gave me another appointment to talk about it more so we'll see. Meanwhile, Sutter, itself, is a nightmare to deal with ; the appt people can't schedule procedures, the office does not call you or respond to messages when the doctor says , you will sometimes wait endlessly to talk to the appt people who don't know how to set up procedures. Its impossible to schedule a procedure. About 2 weeks after starting to try to schedule the appt the doctor I got a a message on my health that asks me what days of the week are good. My message had said every week is different for me so I cannot give you a day that is good every week, please tell me open appointments. So reading, getting the doctor on my health because she had not been put on my account, ( thats why I did not use it to begin with, and then when she is on, I get a message showing that they did not actually read mine. Wow. Sutter has destroyed the CPMC system. I had turned to CPMC originally because UCSF was impossible. Now Sutter is garbage. I really hope Dr Weinberg is worth the trouble of dealing with Sutter. So far, not but I will update. . I wish there were an endocrinologist that took patients who use the affordable care blue shield. I am stuck with sutter and UCSF because many doctors are so greedy they won't accept affordable care act insurance . Again, I will come back again regarding the effectiveness of Dr Weinberg, herself.

Great bedside manner, one of the kindest doctors. So thorough -- takes detailed notes and will not…read moreyield until she gets to the bottom of the issue. Has to be one of the top 3 doctors I've ever had!

Please consider reaching out to Dr. Jonathan George at UCSF for head and neck surgery. While he's…read moretechnically not part of the endocrine practice listed here, I suspect that many prospective patients seeking endocrine surgery could be helped by reaching out to him. I searched for "parathyroid surgeons" and he was highly recommended. He is here. https://www.ucsfhealth.org/providers/jonathan-r-george I was referred to him by another friend who had a more challenging case with her parathyroid. He's been doing parathyroid surgeries for a decade and he does 80-90 per year. He's a pro. He's a skilled surgeon and he will give an excellent clinical explanation of what's going on and what needs to be done. I'm a reporter by training and he answered my questions at length. He genuinely wants to see his patients improve. I was relieved by his confidence and experience. His administrative team is excellent and they move with efficiency and care for patients. Nancy is a wonderful part of his practice. This is a terrible disease. I am grateful for his skills and compassion. What a combination.

I had to return to UCSF last year to have my thyroid removed after cancer was detected. A few years prior I had a parathyroid gland removed by Dr. Electron Kebebew, and would have gone back to him but he's now working in D.C. for the National Institute of Health. I feel lucky to have chosen Dr. Gosnell, who left virtually no scar behind and made me feel very well cared for. The main reason I'm writing this review is that I got so many private messages after writing about my experience with Dr. Kebebew. Patients are so anxious to get first hand recommendations from others who have gone through what they're facing, but as far as I can tell no physician review site has really taken off. So, feel free to PM me if you have had a thyroid cancer diagnosis and would like further info about my experience.
