After multiple medical errors over the years by other doctors, that many doctors refused to properly document, she took the effort to review my records and provide the most accurate medical record that I have had since the first error in 2010- proving to be the most ethical doctor I have ever interacted with. It takes a special person to stand up against the flow in medical systems. She is that type of person. The type that would stand up and say that is wrong. Ethical enough not to work for system that were no aligned with her ethical integrity. A very rare find. She even found the root cause of the of the issues that were missed for years along with doing a very thorough GI work up-greatly improving symptoms and lessening risk damaging other organs. Noting that I have been going to a Functional Medicine GI doctor and did not have such a thorough GI work up. I wish her the best and hope that everything is ok with her. We are not sure why she ended up closing her practice, I hope everything is good, but rating her closing her practice is not rating her as the excellent doctor she is. I wish that someone as smart and ethical as her would be filling the space-but that isn't happening-sadly.

I started seeing Dr. Michaud last year after my former FNP (and awful GI doc) ignored some serious symptoms. She has a great bedside manner, is smart, proactive, and thinks outside of the box. She even came up with possible diagnoses other specialists missed. Although we never figured out the cause, she took EVERYTHING I told her VERY seriously. As a veteran patient, I cannot count how many doctors downplay or ignore serious symptoms. Dr. Michaud not only does the opposite of those doctors but should also teach other doctors how to take their patients' concerns seriously. I was able to get in the following week after scheduling as a new patient and never had difficulty getting appointments. Her receptionist, Annabelle, and her MA, Rachel are friendly and helpful. I wish I found her sooner and had more time to be her patient. Thanks Dr. Michaud for listening to me and helping me as well as serving as an example for the care I hope to provide my patients as a family physician one day!

I had an urgent issue that couldn't wait and Dr. Chhaganlal was able to see me sooner. Great bedside manner, knowledgeable, responsive to messages, and doesn't overprescribe or order unnecessary tests. Even though I only see her a few times a year, she remembers info we've discussed at previous visits (even my applying to med school!). I really like when my doctors know me as a person and not just a chart. She also gives good recommendations, even if she isn't the one to treat me herself. Though she isn't sure if the cause of an ongoing rash on legs I've had for months, she recommended seeing an allergist because all of the allergies in my chart result in rashes or hives (I suspected it was allergy related for that reason). She sent the referral during my appointment (though I have a PPO plan) and I was able to get an appointment with an allergy PA in a few weeks. Hopefully the derm PA or allergy PA can figure out the cause! The staff is friendly, efficient, and responsive. I cannot recommend Dr. Lim highly enough!!! 17 thumbs up!!!…read more She is a miracle worker. I was the biggest scaredy cat about getting my cataract surgery done. I have been wearing glasses since the third grade and I am extremely near-sighted. One of my biggest fears is losing my sight. Dr. Lim made me feel extremely confident about getting the surgery. She explained the surgery in detail and she offered excellent advice about the right type of cataract lenses for me. The surgery itself was extremely quick and painless. I felt like I was at a Laserium show at a planetarium and not in an operating room. There are a number of follow-up appointments scheduled for the day and week after surgery. Both Dr. Chan and Dr. Zhang were caring, knowledgeable, and friendly at these follow-up appointments. The Walnut Creek office staff is also wonderful, friendly, and efficient. Being the nervous Nelly that I am, I did call them more than a few times with my worries. I am now seeing 20/15 out of my distance eye. I can read 4 point type out of my reading eye. I feel I should be on a lecture tour, wearing a Super Hero cape to match my new bionic eyes, touting the wonders of cataract surgery with Dr. Lim. The only regret I have is enduring blurry and dimming vision for a year because I put off my cataract surgery because I was so scared. It has always been my understanding through the Anthem Blue Cross HMO system that if a patients wants a referral to a specialist, they can do so, but first must meet with their PCP. So while at first Dr. O'Regan seemed friendly, towards the end of my very short 15-minute appointment, she managed to leave a very bad first impression. So much so that I sat on the exam table in utter disbelief that a doctor of her "maturity" could be so apathetic towards a patient. Before deciding to switch to another PCP, I asked myself these questions. What sort of doctor would refuse your request to see a specialist when you've stated you've had chronic joint pain? Instead, Dr. O'Regan said she's determine my pain was solely muscular and that I didn't need a referral. I have never had a PCP refuse my request for a referral. What sort of doctor would refuse to write a letter to your employer to request certain work area accommodations be made to reduce your muscular pain (chronic or not)? Again, this wasn't a difficult request and it certainly wouldn't have taken Dr. O'Regan more than a couple of minutes to write. What sort of doctor would refuse to answer questions of a concerned patient who asks for her doctor's professional advice? Instead, Dr. O'Regan said she didn't have time because she had a busy schedule and that answering my question would require me to make another appointment for an office visit! I even explained to her that I worked in SF and try to minimize the time away from work. The time it took for her to explain why she couldn't answer my questions was enough time to answer most of my concerns to begin with! I have NEVER had a doctor tell me she didn't have time for me. How can she be a doctor with this attitude? I also shared my negative experience with my work colleagues, friends, and husband and the consensus was that if Dr. O'Regan could be so cold by showing more concern about the number of patients she had to see in the day (that's managed healthcare for you!) rather than show empathy and concern for her patient sitting in front of her, she would be unlikely to show empathy or concern for me in the future. No problem here, Dr. O'Regan. I will gladly give up my spot on your exam table for the next unlucky patient who doesn't value her time as much as I do. Bye-bye

I met with Dr. Jacobs on December 12 to go over the changes so we could get the ball rolling and not have a delay in my immune treatment which I require every 3 weeks to stay healthy due to a serious immune disorder. He assured me that it would be handled well. Then almost month later I call back and find out nothing has been done. The office didn't have a new script from the Dr. The contract worker they had hired to deal with insurance benefits at the office still didn't know I had a new pharmacy benefits provider. She was trying to order the old medication from the old benefits provider. So I spent the next two weeks on the phone for entire days - leaving messages, waiting on hold, coordinating between nursing staff (bc the dr was now on vacation), the independent contractor who didn't understand my insurance change, my pharmacy benefits provider and the pharmacy filing the order. Babysitting grown adults who are getting paid to apparently not do their jobs. The office at first admitted to dropping the ball, then they each slowly started to blame other people in the office and I realized what a toxic dysfunctional mess the whole operation was. Perhaps they once were good - the vast majority of these five star reviews are many years old. Today, I think they can handle routine allergy shots. That's their bread and butter. Anything more is a deep stretch for their abilities. In the end I finally got my medication two weeks late and it would have been even later if I hadn't borrowed a medical pump to use from a complete stranger. This was an incredibly stressful process that would have been avoided if people at this office understood how to do their jobs.
