    Grilled octopus.

Really nice seafood place located in the Naschtmarkt on one end. It's on the pricier side (20-30 euros for most entrees) but seems less touristy than the other restaurants in the market. The menu is all simply prepared seafood - various fish, shellfish, octopus, calamari, etc. I really enjoyed my grilled octopus with a side of arugula and tomato salad. Complimentary bread is served with a dish of olive oil with chili flakes. My friends' dishes all looked delicious as well, and we cleared our plates.

Service took a longgg time, i don't care much about how nice they were or weren't but we waited at least 30 minutes for food to come. When the food finally came, it was very fresh, as advertised. I shared a umar plate for two which came with a fillet of every type of fish and a whole fish, i'm not sure which was which. It came with two king prawns which were very good, and two wild prawns which were DELICIOUS, granted they were kind of salty but since it only came with two shrimps, the flavors were amazing. it also came with four pieces of calamari. All the fish were pretty good, nothing bad to say about the taste, it just took forever to cook. My friend ordered a turbot fish which was good, can't really taste a difference between many white meat fishes. It also came with two scallops which were very fresh as well. We also got baklava which was delicious but a little too sweet, but it was really good.

We were wandering around Naschmarkt and was kind of eenie meenie miney moeing around to pick a lunch spot. We saw that this restaurant was bustling with people.. So we thought we'd give it a try. When we approached the entrance, we were asked if we had reservations. We didn't. So he pointed us to the outside patio. We didn't mind since there were blankets (are we suppose to use these or are they to cover the cold, metal chairs?) and had heat lamps all around. Another couple was behind us, and they got seated outside as well. I'm not sure if it was bc we were tourists, but the couple that came after us got their menus first, got their orders taken first, and had their food come out first.. Now onto the food, We got the prawn risotto and the special, which had a variety of grilled seafood. The risotto was tasty, a bit too salty for my liking. The grilled seafood was excellent! still had an oceany taste to it, that's how you know it's fresh! This place is very pricey though and service wasn't that great..

If you are looking for fresh and tasty fish & seafoods, you are here at the right place! Sure, it is quite expensive... But on special occasions, eating in this famous restaurant (really appreciated by our fellow Austrians!) is a culinary experience your papilla will remember and honestly worth its price! If you have someone to share it with, I would recommend to take one of their fish plates, so generous and perfectly cooked you will leave this restaurant with a happy belly and a smile on your face! Beware: it can be very busy, especially on a Saturday night: don't hesitate making a reservation!

Yes it's pricey but worth it for tourists like me. Definitely check it out if you're in the area. The staff is friendly and will happily answer any questions and point out their suggestions.

The chocolate is still made by the same family that has owned the shop for generations. This chocolate shop has drawers of chocolates to sift through. This used to be a button shop for the royalty. The drawers were full of buttons that the royalty could pick from to be on their clothes. Now the drawers are filled with buttons of delicious chocolates. The staff was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Besides, who could be sour in a chocolate shop. It was some of the best chocolate we have ever had. We are keeping the hot chocolate mix for our trip to Tahoe later this year. It will be a way we can relive our amazing trip. I wanted to say thank you to the staff for being so friendly and helpful in selecting our chocolate. I gave it one Euro sign, but you could easily get carried away in here. We spent over $40 of chocolate because we knew we weren't going to be back anytime soon.
