I got the shrimps skewers with risotto and a bucket of mussels and clams with broth. Both were delicious! Shrimps were pipping hot and the risotto was creamy and buttery. Mussels/clams were fresh though the meat itself was on the smaller side. The wait staff was nice and came by twice to change out my big pile of shell plate. I sat outside and got some stares as in how is this girl eating this all?! haha Overall, a very satisfying meal and would definitely recommend in the market!

The place is very small and might be difficult to find - it's in the main lane, close to the entrance, on the left hand side if you are going from Karlsplatz.

Josco is a great supermarket conveniently located by Floridsdorf station & is reasonably priced…read more They carry a large variety of foods from Asian cuisines, including Chinese sauces, mochi, Thai curry pastes, Korean instant noodles, South Asian foods, etc. They have an excellent selection of noodles, instant noodles and regular noodles. They also have some Asian produce and fresh foods, like tofu and green leafy vegetables (choy). In the frozen section, they have dim sum, samosas, roti, kulfi, as well as a lot of frozen seafood. Sometimes they also sell fresh pastries near the cashier, but I have not been a fan of those I've tried. I've had good experiences here. I recommend shopping at Josco, especially if you're looking for some Asian foods that aren't easy to get elsewhere. Good service. Staff is helpful.

It is not near to where I live but I had a friend visiting from Sweden whom I know loves fish & seafood (as I do too) and on free theatre night in Vienna, we were going to a theatre laboratory performance just five minutes away from this eating spot. We are glad we made reservations here (and reservations are a must on weekends.) For appetizers we chose calamari from Patagonia and fried Ährenfisch. Both came with tasty dipping sauces and we shared these. A generous and varied bread basket was also served which we ate with the high-quality olive oil on the table. Main courses included baked scallops on truffle mash potatoes and a Frutti di Mare sampler served on black risotto (flavored by Tintenfisch which is common in Croatia and Austria.) Everything was delicious. Frizzante and Cremant accompanied the food courses. Service was efficient and we were in time for our theatre performance. Takan's is a popular neighborhood fish & seafood eatery. It is not cheap by Viennese standards (by Europe and American prices it is probably good value for the quality of the offerings) so it is not a place I will become a regular. And it is not easy to find as it is well off of any tourist route in Vienna .... which the locals & regulars like even more!
