Enjoyed our two ninja bowls at tonight's food truck rally. Hubby, son and I were sampling and sharing our way through several food truck offerings! I took the recommendation of the gal who took my order and chose the pork with peanut sauce & the chicken with curry sauce. They were both tasty with good flavor, but my favorite was the pork with peanut sauce. I would have liked to have one served over noodles like you used to be able to order, but that wasn't available tonight. Not sure if that was just tonight or a permanent change. Overall I'd say the portion and price was fair. Umami is worth checking out if you haven't sampled this food truck before! read more

We tried Umami while drinking tasty beers at Snowbank Brewing on a Saturday night. We ordered the Thai nachos which were a spicy, onion-y, cliantro-y delicious meal. The peanut sauce instead of cheese proves that nachos can be absent cheese and still be amazing. They combined two of our favorite genres of food: nachos and Thai, and they achieved junk food greatness. I'd love to try their other offerings sometime! read more

Ate at this food truck with my boyfriend during Sonic Bloom and ate the same exact thing and both got violently ill a few hours after. Ruined our last night of the music festival. Hadn't eaten anything else that day except for a smoothie that morning. The food was cold and the rice was hard, I had a bad feeling while I was eating it and lo and behold several hours later I couldn't keep any of those damn dumplings or rice down. If youre vegetarian don't even bother. I ordered tofu tacos because they always have a line so I figured it must be good. I got warmed up still soggy unseasoned tofu, no marinade or flavor of any kind. In 2017 I guess I just figured they might have enough knowledge to know tofu is meant to be seasoned, do they serve boiled chicken with no seasoning? Or is it just that they don't care to cater to vegetarian patrons? read more

I grabbed a bite from here over the weekend while I was at Snowbank Brewing. I had the pork dumplings with the the teriyaki and peanut sauces and both rice and veggies. I though it was quite good. I really liked the mix of he two sauces and the fact that I could add on the veggies for only $1. read more

Hmmmm...where to begin. Although I provided a 4 star rating, it's not because of the dumplings which were store bought, not homemade and quite expensive ($8) considering you can buy an entire bag at Costco for like 15 bucks. The dumplings are good and quite filling just not something I can't do without. However, their sauces are amazing! The curry on the dumplings was well spiced and carried some heat and the peanut sauce was fab. The rice was about 5 min shy of actually being done and was hard in the middle. I can imagine that it is excellent if cooked all the way. They do an excellent job on their bowls though and these should not be missed! They also get kudos for extraordinary customer service. One of my favorite food trucks in Fort Collins. Great food and nice people. Didn't realize how spicy the food can be though. I love spicy food and the sauces were tad too spicy for me. Love the ninja bowl. read more

Amazing food! So unique, great flavors! The flavors of there food compliment each other. Was great to have large chunks of vegetables for a mid have a good day snack! Highly recommend their bowel or tai nachos! read more

We got this at the CSU VTH open house. We ordered two dishes around $20 and it was a complete waste of money. The dumplings tasted and looked just like the kind I buy at the store. The pork ninja bowl probably would have tasted fine if it wasn't bathed in sauce. We also ordered both items with "mild" sauce to share with our 1.5 yr old daughter. The dishes were too spicy for us to even eat let alone our daughter. We had to trash the food and leave the open house early to eat out. Extremely disappointing read more

Was a pleasure having them on the CSU campus everyday when there was still construction going on in our student center's food court. They were quick to make my food and the price was reasonable. Was really delicious. I had the banh mi sandwich which I think was a special that day. Their ninja bowl was really delicious and full of flavor as well as the Umami Tacos which had a very nice Asian slaw. Flavors compliment each other well. read more
