Not a bad spot to drink tea and/or coffee. I got the genmaicha hot tea and it was a nice subtle hint of rice and green tea flavor. Nice soothing flavor and crisp finish. All for €4.50. Their food looks good, but I just came here for tea. What more can you ask for; hot tea on a cool evening.

Super friendly people! They do speak English which made my life simple, clean indoor and outdoor seating. Lastly, the matcha latte was phenomenal and the added little face pushed me to the 5 star!

My fellow travelers the store looks interesting with several open tables and its Japanese spices with other essentials. But if your American beware they do not need your service. We were greeted by a female waitress that looked rather unprofessional and stated that they have no tables open but clearly there were several. But the funny part was my daughter was right behind me and was offered a table ironically did not want to be bias but they really expressed their disdain for seating us.

    Matcha Croissant

Stopped by for a Matcha Croissant and it was the worst and most expensive croissant I've ever had in my life--even the free leftover croissants at my hotel were much better. Sure, it was green on the inside, but there was not even the slightest hint of matcha taste in it. For 3€, you are paying for small and dry croissant--sort of like the type you buy in a pack at a discount store, but I bet even those taste better. Needless to say, it was disappointing and barely held me over as the first food item in my stomach--and I've been okay with one croissant for breakfast at this point. I get that they're not authentic. Seems like they've hopped on the matcha bandwagon and don't really hold much quality to their expensive food. Service was not that much better, either. The chick behind the counter was too busy chatting up her friend and made it seem like I was a nuisance for coming in and disrupting her chit-chat.

Umami Matcha Café offers some of the most intense matcha experiences I've had...and I love it! Other places serving matcha are weak on the flavor, but Umami doesn't skimp on it. I ordered the Ultra Matcha Latte, which was way too intense for me. I loved how each sip was full of the flavor, but admittedly, it left a chalky taste and residue that wasn't very attractive. However, the matcha cheesecake was the perfect balance between matcha flavor and cheesecake-- decadent and smooth, it's a must when you visit this place. Prices are steep, but if you're looking for a matcha fix, Umami is the place to be.

Yum! This place has all sorts of goodies using Matcha. I got the Matcha Latte and the boyfriend got Umami Matcha with white chocolate. The Matcha Latte is more for those wanting to enjoy the pure Matcha flavor, and the Umami Matcha is a little more on the sweet side. Didn't really taste much of the white chocolate, but gives the drink a good amount of sweetness. The Yuzu Tart has the perfect amount of Yuzu. Highly recommend for Yuzu fans! The restaurant also has a small boutique on one side where they sell some Japanese goods, too. Service was fast and the store is clean. Yay for clean bathrooms!

The matcha tiramisu was BOMB! It hit a ton of great notes. They really perfected the amount fluffiness, sweetness, and texture. I also enjoyed their matcha latte. You can tell they used the proper technique to whisk their matcha. I would definitely return again. When we came the place was crowded with locals. Seemed to be the spot for people to come chill and chat.

Sought out this tea establishment in the 3e of Paris. Staff was very nice and helped with ordering. I love matcha and looked forward to trying the Matcha Unami which is matcha with choice of dark or white chocolate. I chose the dark chocolate which although bitter was pretty tasty. Also had a lemon tart, which was yummy, and slice of marble cake which contained chocolate and matcha. Altogether a great cafe experience !

You really have to like matcha to eat here. We saw this place strolling by our hotel and of course my wife being the a lover of all things matcha had to come here. The restaurant is very modern and it is sit down, so although as it may seem you order and sit, they wait you. Everyone comes out fast, they speak English to. I got the soba noodles and it was flavorless to me. Everything on the table was flavorless. I guess so you could be able to taste the matcha and not cover it up. It's just not for me. You really have to like matcha. This is why I give it 4 stars, i think they executed well for what it is.

Got the matcha cappuccino with the tiramisu matcha. Very cute place. Japanese themed, you can also go and buy drinks, and other Japanese collections at this store. They do not sell food anymore so just a reminder.

Burnt millefeuille, stale matcha latte, they basically forgot that I sat down and forgot to serve me.

Refused to seat me and my group for a morning breakfast, with the female cashier offering to seat only my friend but not all 4 of us.

The owner is straight forward to warn larger groups of the small tight spaces up top and wards off any NBA players without helmets as their is low clearance upstairs. The menu is all French and limited English by the servers but it's easy enough to navigate. We came with 5 for Sunday brunch and sat right away but one had to sort of share space at the table. We ordered mixes of omelettes and Benedicts. All came with nice small whole potatoes and a little sour cream. You can modify or add quite a bit. Eggs are your choice of style ultimately and apparently the brunch includes pancakes. We were confused by that and they come after you've eaten the other items. I'm not sure if we paid for that or not but we chose to move on without. It came with your choice of tea or coffee AND a small orange juice. The eggs were cooked very delicately and moist with cheese and good meat in the omelette. Overall it was a fine breakfast compared to croissants and coffee but a little expensive.
