We started off thinking we didn't care too much about the invitations--because we thought (incorrectly), who remembers an invitation? But once we started looking, we decided that we didn't want something out-of-the-box and boring. Amy created a gorgeous invitation suite and customized it further with a little art we requested. And she did these gorgeous letterpress invitations better price than the boring, digitally printed generic stuff we saw at invitation stores. When we received our invitations, I didn't want to take them out of the gorgeous boxes she packed them in--her packaging alone was Pinterest worthy! I would hire her just to wrap holiday gifts if I could, it was that lovely. But alas, we opened the boxes, assembled the invitation suites and mailed everything out. And the rave reviews are POURING in. I never expected it, but we are getting emails and phone calls from loads of friends and family telling us how our invitations are the best they've ever seen. Amy is a pleasure to work with. I would give her 10 stars if I could.

Hours are 7:30am-4:30pm M-F so you're better off getting your order in early and they can usually turn it around in less than 24hrs. I've often emailed a doc in the evening after they're closed, get a reply back from Dave around 7:30am, and have my prints that afternoon. - Call to get an estimate or email (easternp@rochester.rr.com) They do everything -- posters, banners, flyers, trimming, etc. and the quality is flawless! An example, I had an order of 200 postcards (trimmed too) I needed printed plus 30 12x18 posters -- total ~$65 frim Eastern Printing. Last year when I printed only 200 postcards elsewhere (FedEx, ahem...) it was over $100! It was a hassle too. I will 100% be supporting Dave and his team. They do great work, are fast, and cost effective. That's the best of all worlds.

Perfect opportunity to pick up a last minute gift and grab a locally made card. It was the coolest idea and brought people into Type High. I loved their prints and picked up a few cards and posters on the trip. The space is on Railroad St. Between Rohrbach's and the Public Market. You'll see a small sign on the door and go up a flight of stairs that leads into the studio. It's filled with all the cool letterpress stamps and tons of their prints were hanging on the wall and boxes filled with different themes cards, everything from happy birthday to babies and anniversary cards. Lots of quippy imagery and sayings, like "Happy F*cking Whatever!" We have a ton of awesome letterpress studios in ROC so it's cool to see the variety between the different spaces. Cards were $4 and posters were $18.

I can't recommend this business…read more I've had 2 jobs that I've picked up from them and it looks like they didn't even check the job before running it. One was a funeral program that came out so faded and unsaturated, that I would have been embarrassed to use it. Ended up having it printed somewhere else and it looked much better. The other job that I just picked up today was a postcard that has a QR code on it, and it's printed too small! It's so small that my i phone can't focus on it. I was told that - It works fine on their phone... So too bad for me. I mean, if you just looked at the postcard, you'd see that the code is too small!! No quality control.
